The story of Aladdin was one of many told in the Arabian Nights stories. It's only fitting that this colorful cast of characters be allowed to weave their own unique story in the new world in which they have been woven!

Cosplays are sometimes difficult things in B'alam. There is no back story available, no piles of dead NPC's, no tragic loss of parents, none of that available. So sometimes bringing a character into B'alam is especially challenging. Did you just say "challenge accepted"? I hope so, because tht's exactly what this flatsale will be about!
In groups of 4-5 people, you must come up with a convincing story for this group of characters. You can stick to the Disney story, the original tale, or you can twist the story in your own unique fashion... kind of like how Once Upon a Time does with their characters. All we're looking for is a decent plot that involves all these characters with a background, story, plot, and perhaps future plans that will fit into the canon of the shop, fit the characters, and strike a creative cord with the judges. How you do this is completely up to you! We'd especially like to see some involvement with colonies or even an idea for a new colony entirely!
• Judging ||
Entries will be judged based on three categories: conduct & activity of involved players, the quiz section, and the prompt section. Every category will get a score of 1-10. The team with the most points wins!

They are a canon couple, but if things don't work out between you and theotherpla yer, don't feel like your hands are tied. question Does Jafar have to be evil?Not at all! We're looking for creativity. If he does go evil, he'll need a reason behind his motives. B'alam aren't woven with any predisposed personalities. Everything is a result of their environment and the situations they face. Heck, in your twist, Aladdin could be the bad guy! Be creative, wow us! question Is Genie bound to Aladdin's lamp?Nope! How Genie relates is all up to you. Aladdin's lamp is just a pretty prop. You can decide its significance. question When they go Magus, can we change how they look?Edit-wise yes! Thal actually wouldn't mind making Aladdin look all princely for his magus stage- whether it's Prince Ali or the outfit he wore at the end of the movie. Traits & Magic Keep in mind that these characters are common B'alam. Jafar has no dark magic and Genie has no special magic either. They are normal, adult B'alam with the same abilities as any B'alam of their assigned tribe. Please keep that in mind when doing your entries! Also, Paroo can mimic sounds but they don't actually talk. They can be trained to carry a large vocabulary but like our modern parrots, they don't understand what's actually coming out of their beaks. |

Quiz Section
◘ Who is Jasmine's Father? No one is her father because she is a newly woven first generation B'alam.
◘ How does breeding work in B'alam? Breeding involves a male half-spirit and a female half-spirit being able to complete a whole spirit through becoming life mated, and thus enabling them to carve totems they can pray to the Grand Weaver with regards to receiving their own given half-spirits.
◘ What "Magics" do normal adult B'alam posses? Normal adult B'alam can use telekinesis to accomplish tasks within what the strength of their individual physical beings allow.
◘ How do Dark Tribe B'alam fly? Though their wings allow them to fly, in order to do so, Dark Tribe B'alam need to climb and launch off from a high place because they cannot take off from level ground.

◘ How do these B'alam relate to one another?
Trio of Earth B'alam: members of the same community they are establishing
Genie: rescuer who agrees on a treaty with the Earth B'alam trio
Jafar: villian
◘ How will these B'alam meet?
Genie rescued the Earth B'alam crew from a threat and in gratitude agreed to form a treaty with Genie. Genie told the Wind Tribe that he would seek out an alternative means of gathering resources that is still in line with the Wind Tribe's valuing freedom and saw an opportunity arise when he assisted the Earth B'alam.
Aladdin was swinging around the shiny lamp he uses to help him water crops while working with his crewmates to ward off a threat to their farm. And the shine of said lamp drew Genie's attention while flying within the vicinity. Then Genie helped ward off the threat.
The Earth B'alam decided to agree in sharing part of their harvest for Genie to lead the transport of the resources to the Wind Tribe lands in exchange for Genie recruiting some Wind Tribe B'alam to also aid in defending the farmlands from threats.
Jafar, in his wanting of and setting his sights on their land, actively persists in trying to have the two pick fights with each other. Thus, he is the villian out for fueling any sort of chaos and discord with a mindset that includes it would be to his benefit in line with any reasoning he is inclined to that the Earth and Wind Tribes are kept distrustful of each other. And so, his exploits would include that he watches and plots that Genie and the farming Earth Tribe crew experience trials and foiled circumstances in their endeavors to trust that the treaty is really genuine and beneficial to both parties.
◘ What kind of plots will you run with this group?
In addition to RPs based on our concept storyline, we shall request if Riri is up for this idea: This Earth Tribe crew may encounter the Kauzi Ukame colony-in-the-making and develop some sort of group relationship between them. It'd make for some fun and interesting encounters. Especially if some thieves decide to annually raid the farm for food.
And in canon Earth and Dark are allies while Earth and Wind are hostile. And so interesting potential twists include the following.
Jafar intends to take advantage of the canon alliance to fuel his own agenda. He'll be whispering in the Earth Tribe's ear, asking questions like, "Can you really trust Genie? I mean, he is from the Wind Tribe."
And the treaty may lead to the Earth Tribe exiling/alienating the trio or at least the consideration of the Earth Magus leading party with regards to opting for an outcome along these lines.
◘ Any additional info!
Also, this Earth Tribe crew would be almost trying out something new when they find themselves contemplating the position of the farm possibly being decidedly placed closer to the desert or in the desert. So they kind of think, "Hey, it's warm over there, do crops even grow there?" and they decide to experiment and set up a part of the farm to be where the ground is hard and dry and a bit of challenge to grow things. The farm would be half in the desert and half outside of it and it would be a location description that their farm is centrally right on the border of this change in terrain.
