Kaito had sent word out through the water tribe for those who were suppose to join him in his journey. However now that the time came he was nervous that those who he had recruited would not show up and the journey would be left to he and his mate, but that was not the only other thing he was nervous about. He was also nervous that he would not be a good leader for those who had decided to join him, but he can only try his best on that matter. Kaito considered those he had recruited to be his friends and he trusted that they would come through on their word and interests of joining him.

The supplies were ready and prepared for travel, though there were few as Kaito had decided to go with Hook's suggestion about traveling light and living off the land. The supplies he had gathered were only for emergency situations. The band would have to scavenge and forage for food along the way.

The map that he had received from Hook was in a small pouch he had gotten from the merchants of the water tribe. The pouch rested upon his back with his few writing utensils for making notes upon it as they traveled.

Noticing the tension in his soul as well as in his movements Keilei rubbed her face against his shoulder. "Relax" She whispered softly, trying to calm the tension which she felt. "Everything will be fine. You will do fine."

Her words seemed to calm him down a bit, or was it the contact. Either way she was quite relieved that she was able to help. That is what she felt her role was, to help her Yolilztli and support him on this journey.

She was nervous as well, but it was not prominently showed like her Yoliliztli. Keilei figured she needed to be calm for his sake, if both of them were nervous wrecks then things could go wrong.

Sorry for the double quote figured it would be best to quote you guys here instead of the first post since I will be editing it often with WCs

Also if my font is too bright please let me know and I will dim it down.

Rio wasn't certain of what exactly he was doing. His pink body swayed in conveyance of his uncertainty as the Tahtll stood situated under a rather large tree. Here he received decent shade from the sun and a cool breeze was sweeping by, causing his normally matted fur to bristle, though he didn't notice. For you see he was far too involved in his own thoughts to take note of the slight n** the wind carried. He had visited the shoreline frequently to go fishing, which in theory was the reason for his visit today. Yet if he stopped to think about it the murky river he called home provided all the fish he needed, and then some. It truly wasn't necessary for him to leave the swampy environment he had come to love.

Thing was, he wanted to. There was some hidden, suppressed desire to leave his home he had never dared to venture all the far away from before. It was a truly strange feeling for the Tahtll, he had never felt the need to explore before. Not to this extent.

Usually when the urge came to leave his home and see more of the world came around he would merely head to the shore and wait for the feeling to dissipate, but it wasn't currently. In fact the opposite was true, with each passing second the feeling rose and bubbled and swelled around his thoughts. Adventure was waiting and he was tempted to answer it's call.

Still, the b'alam remained where he was. From here nearest to one of many tall trees near both the shore and the forest he was able to remain hidden from the individuals on the beach. Or at least he felt he was hidden. He could sense that they were there, and if he inched a few feet forward Rio could see them clearly.

It seemed that something was happening, though he was not entirely certain of what. In fact the only thing he was certain of was that the nervous, adventure craving feeling brewing in his gut was at an all time high. The desire to see something beyond his swampy home paired with his instinct to flee from others was keeping him frozen where he stood.

To stay or to go? It was a difficult question. If he stayed here then maybe one of the new b'alam up ahead would find him and inform him of what exactly they were doing. Maybe what they were doing would require his assistance and he could travel with them to wherever they were going to satisfy his need for adventure and exploration. On the other hand if he turned around and left the area it meant he was spared from having to interact with any of them, and could return to being alone in his comfortably smelly swamp.

Hmm. Grr...

(PS. If Rio's font hurts anyone's eyes tell me and I'll darken it.
PSS. I'll have my other water boyo show up probably later, closer to when the group is about to leave.

PSSS. Rio is Shrek now rofl)

"Thank you," he spoke softly. It was Keilei's words which seemed to calm his mind. In the process his mind became cleaer and he began to notice more things around him. Kaito's ears swiveled as the soul of another became present to him. Slowly his head turned in the direction that Rio was in.

Another Tah was in the distance. A purpleish one at that from what he could see. Kaito's curiosity was getting the better of him, his paws becoming a bit antsy under him, but he needed to stay here. He, after all, was the face of this journey and those he recruited would be expecting him to be in this place. The place he sent word for all to meet. It would be the start of their long journey together so he figured it might be nice for everyone to get to know each other before they headed out into the unknown.

"Keilei" he spoke trying to get his mates attention. Feeling obligated not to leave he was trying to get it so that she would be the one to go meet this stranger. Perhaps he would be willing to join this merry little band of his. The more the merrier.

Keilei was glad that she was able to calm the soul of her mate with her words. He was going to be their leader so she would have to support them the best that she was able. Even if it was just words to calm his mind. As she waited for others to arrive her tail flicked wondering what sort of other balam her mate had recruited before the two of them met on that fateful day.

It was Kaito's words which cut through her wondering and drew her attention to where Kaito's golden orbs seemed so focused on. "I've got it." She murmured softly to her Tah. "You stay here." She gave him an affectionate rub with her check into his shoulder before departing.

With that she left his side and began to approach this purplish strange Tah which was watching them from a distance. "Hello~" She called out in a friendly voice, trying not to spook him. Her own curiosity of what he was doing here came into effect. As it seemed that Kaito did not know this Tah, it was obvious that he was not one of the ones they were waiting for.

Rio's ears twitched and his eyes became alert as he noted that it appeared he sucked at hiding, and was spotted. Great...

The Tahtll remained where he was, for if he fled now surely the Nantlil would suspect that something was up. That Rio was spying on the duo or something. Which was sort of true... In a way. He wasn't spying so much as he was observing. Yeah...

"Er-" He backed away slightly as the splotchy water colored female neared him. "Hello." He mumbled. "How are you?" Curiously Rio leaned forward to stare at where the other Tah in the area was still standing on the beach. Was he waiting for someone? Or had he sent this girl to make sure that the purplish pink cat wasn't dangerous?

"I've never seen anyone else on this beach before." He lied. He had seen two others here. Once, a really long time ago. So long it wasn't even relevant anymore. He briefly wondered what had happen to those two but didn't dwell on it for very long. Instead he turned his yellow eyes to gaze upon the Nantlil. "Are you two waiting for someone?" He asked, cocking his head to gesture to the other Tahtll on the beach.

User Image Dusk finished gathering her own supplies she had to head out herself. She slipped a piece of the cloth she had made specially above her eyes. It was time. It was a bit nerve wracking even for her. She'd been prepared for this for a long time. But when the time came, she sighed in spite of herself. There couldn't be anything she hadn't been prepared for. The training she'd received was very thorough. She comforted herself. Dusk put on her mask carefully and over the cloth and headed out. It was time for work now. Her job was something she took with the utmost seriousness. Do not speak unless spoken to, observe only.

Duskmourne paused reciting her oath once before heading out. Opening her wings as she exited she used them to shield her face. Though a nearby water named Tesu came and helped her by leading her around. Though she couldn't essentially see her hearing was top notch.

She had to make it to the dark tribe. Before their festival hopefully. She wanted to learn all about her kind. The ones who lived in the darkness. Dusk made her way out of the library across the city grounds to the edge of the lake. On the beach a small gathering caught her attention. There seemed to be packs nearby What was going on? Perhaps it would be something worth writing about even. Wouldn't that be something. If anything she could ask for directions, though from the maps she had a general idea which way to go. She spent so long memorizing them, though just looking at maps don't really prepare you for the real thing.

Silently she approached remaining in the shadows of the trees. Teu nearby Though she could only get so close. She used her wings to keep the wing's light off her face.

Just as Rio seemed to ask the question, not just one but two Nahtils seemed to make their way over to the small little group. Koda was seen making her way over to the Tahtll recognizing him instantly. "Kaito!" She called out. The Nahtil was seen carrying a few small pouches of her own. All were filled with things needed for her trade, healing. Most of the things were herbs she had collected for this journey, in another was a few stones as well as bandages. She could not be too prepared for this adventure as anything was bound to happen.

Happily she made her way over to the Tahtll ignoring the presence of the others. She was quite pleased that her words had helped him put this all together and helped his troubled mind.

It was not that he sucked at hiding it was just her Yoliliztli, despite his nervousness was always quite attentive to his surroundings. It was how he found her and a few others for this journey.

Ah, good she did not scare him away and now she could have the chance to ask him if he wanted to join them on their journey. Still he seemed a bit edgy and on guard, and it reminded her of her first meeting with Kaito. "I'm sorry if we startled or concerned you. It was not our intention." She responded trying to explain the situation to him so he would feel a bit more at ease.

"We are." She replied to his question. "Several others in fact." There was a bit of a pause before she began to explain to him. "We are going on a journey to travel to the other tribes and see new things. If you would like to join you are more then welcomed to." Her tail gave a small flick behind her hoping that he would join her. She did not know how many other Tah's Kaito had gotten to join them on this journey, but she knew that he was out numbered by the several Nahtills that he had recruited, as she had been there for a few and heard about the others.

Their group was going to be small, but hopefully as they traveled from place to place it would grow bigger. It was quite exciting to think about all of the things that they could potentially see on this journey.

Alisana could feel herself trembling.

The small female was trying, hard as she might, to take deep breaths to steady the twitching in her tail. But nothing seemed to work. Ever since Kaito had extended an invitation to join him and his companions on a journey throughout lands they had never before seen, she remained nervous and excited as can be. Nothing could quell the knot in her stomach, as it was becoming apparent. And quite honestly, she was glad the day of the departure was finally here. She had been failing to get full nights of sleep as of recent, and it had begun to worry her. Too much sleep missed out on could be very bad for the journey. That thought alone was the only thing that eased her mind into silent slumber each evening. Last night, however was a different story entirely. Alisana just hoped the restlessness didn't reflect on her face.

Ears twitching as she approached the meeting spot, Alisana noted she could hear chatter, presumably from the rest of the group. It eased her mind immediately to know that there were, in fact, others that had chosen to go. Part of her had been concerned the journey would simply be her, Kaito, and maybe one other - how boring would that be?! She could talk a lot, but not nearly enough to entertain everyone for that extensive of a period of time. But the noises of the group sounded... casual. Laid back. Not-at-all-worried. Which should have soothed the female, but instead it rose her nerves once again. Was she seriously the only one the least bit concerned about how this trip would go?

Ignoring her own thoughts, Alisana strode forward to the edge of the group, attempting not to draw attention to herself. Silly, she knew, considering she would be getting to know every one of these individuals quite well over the coming moons.

Kaito was beginning to worry. Another stranger had shown up this time it was a Natill. Though he had never seen anything like them before. It was quite intriguing. She had wings like Mr. Hook, but they seemed quite different then the feathery wings of Mr. Hook.

The call of his name drew him out of these thoughts of curiosity. Finally one he knew showed up. Koda, she was his first recruit to all of this. He smiled warmly as the healer approached. He was quite relieved that someone finally showed up, he was beginning to worry that everyone had given them empty promises of joining him. "Koda, I'm glad you are here." he spoke in a gentle tone. It was the truth.

It was then when Kaito also noticed Alisana slowly approaching them. "Alisana," He called out trying to get her attention. "I'm glad you are also here." A smile appeared upon the male's face, good things were coming together quite nicely now. As he could recall, all he had was one more member that he had manage to recruit, well Keilei had ended up recruiting her in the end.

Kaito turned to Koda and then asked a favor of her. "Koda, could you go speak with that Natill over there?" he began to inquire as he nodded his head over towards where the crimson winged one was. "She seems a bit mysterious and perhaps she would like to join us on this journey, if we are heading the same way she is."

Koda set the small pack she was carrying down after she finally arrived next to Kaito. She had prepared quite a bit for this journey, well gathered. Most were herbs and plants she used in her trade, others were ones she was planning on experimenting with as she gathered new herbs from other parts of the world. She was here to expand her horizons as a healer as well as for the adventure of it all.

When Kaito spoke asking of her assistance she nodded. "Of Course." She replied. "I would be glad to help out." She was always willing to help a friend in need and she considered Kaito a friend. After all they both gave each other advice when they last met.

Koda left her things at Kaito's feet and approached this winged stranger. "Hello?" She inquired. Perhaps this one needed her help or their help, but she was on a mission for Kaito so she kept that in mind. Though she noticed the way the other kept the light off of her face and out of her eyes. "Are you alright?" She continued this time concern in her voice.

"Er- n-no I'm just... Jumpy." 'Way to reek of confidence.' He mentally scolded himself. Others were just... Difficult for him. To speak to. He wasn't used to it, seeing as he mostly went out of his way to be alone.

Rio tilted his head as the female explained what they were doing. Well that was interesting. They just wanted to... Explore? Hmm. It seemed like a good opportunity. Countless things lay beyond the lake and swamp and it just so happened that this group was heading out to discover it for themselves!

He watched with curiosity as more members of this travelling group started to show up. First was a leathery-winged female, followed by a stripy one.. Then a polka-dotted girl as well. Rio could slowly feel himself frowning. There was certainly a large amount of Nantills joining the group today. Not that it was a bad thing, but it was a little off-putting.

No. He wanted to go exploring, this was his chance. It didn't matter if the group was purely made entirely of Nantills and just little ol' him, Rio wouldn't get another chance like this again.

"Let's do that. Yes. Argh, I mean-..." He shook his head with a small growl, and allowed himself a moment to stop being so tongue-tied. "I'd like to come. Thank you for letting me." There, she got the idea now. He wanted to come.

Ah jumpy. She could understand that very well. The first time she met with her mate Kaito she too was also very jumpy. More or less she was very protective of herself and did not trust him much. Not until he showed her the way. Now she saw things like Kaito. Everything happened for a reason. Everyone they met would almost always end up being considered a friend. Though still she was a bit more wary of balam at first unlike Kaito, then again he did have more experience in the social part of things. Keilei was still getting the hang of conversation, yet she was getting better. Their trip to the marketplace before this was quite an improvement to what she used to be like. Not that she was as much as a Chatty Cathy like Kaito, but she did have her own inquiries she would need to express at times.

Her attention was drawn back towards the purplish tah as he began to speak again. Stumbling once more over his words. However she did get the gist of what he was trying to communicate to her. "We would love to have you." She exclaimed. Though she nearly forgot her manners, nearly. "I'm Keilei and my mate over there is Kaito." she introduced both of the first ones he had seen. "And you are?" She inquired.

The others she did not know, she only knew names of those who were joining them not faces yet. The only face she knew was the one she had recruited her self, but alas they were not here yet. So this would be an entire introduction for her as well. "It is going to be quite the adventure." She continued to explain. "Kaito went through a ton of preparation for this, so hopefully nothing will go wrong on our trip." She gave a small nod.

"We recently met a flying adventurer in the marketplace of the water capitol and he gave Kaito some times. Plus it seems there is going to be quite the adventure out there!" Her excitement was finally showing. Keilei had been containing herself for a while now, but now she no longer could. As she began to speak about their grand adventure the more she could not stop.

"Sorry," She apologized, after realizing she was going on, and on about things. She felt quite embarrassed about it all that her ears shifted back on her head. "I did not mean to keep going."

It was impossible not to feel endlessly confident in Kaito. He was calm constantly, it seemed. Always the easy leader. It was admirable - and more or less, the deciding factor that had ultimately pushed her to show up today. When he addressed her and the tropical-looking female next to him, it felt like some strange affirmation of her decision to come. Alisana returned his smile, bowing her head slightly. "I'm glad to be here, Kaito." She meant to continue conversing, but she couldn't think of anything. Her brain was scrambled, her thoughts incomplete. Everything was focused on the journey ahead. So she instead settled for scanning the small crowd that had formed, taking silent stock of the attendants. It seemed to be a peculiar group at this point. Alisana idly wondered what motivated each of them to come out today. She was sure there were some good stories there.

Good things were coming together, aside from the few strangers that seemed to have been in the area. But still like he always said, a stranger is a friend one has not yet met. Deep down he was hoping that they would join them in their journey, that way he would be able to get to know them better. "I think introductions are in need." he told Alisana. Even if it was just the two of them at the location. His mate Keilei was over speaking with the purplish male and his first recruit was over speaking with the mysterious female, both in different directions from one another.

"My mate is over there" he spoke indicating where Rio and Keilei was. "Speaking with the purple male, her name is Keilei. And the one speaking with the crimson winged female over there." He turned his head towards the other direction under the tree cover. "That there is Koda, she is a healer and the first one I recruited for this journey."

There was a pause as he began to think upon a few things only to speak again to Alisana. "The two they are speaking to I do not have a clue who they are. But, I hope that our journey intrigues them and they join us on it. The more of us there are the more fun we will have in the long run." he stated with a firm nod of his head.

Alisana nodded in response to Kaito's suggestion. It would definitely ease her tension to know at least a little bit about those she was about to risk her life with in an effort to see more of their world. As he spoke, Alisana nodded along, making mental notes.

The pretty, tropical-looking female was his mate - that made sense, she thought, gazing at the female, Keilei - their pelts even sort of matched, as much as she was sure their personalities did. His words then directed her to Koda, another tropical-looking female with a rather earthy look about her. At his explanation of Koda, she smiled. "We were lucky enough to find a healer to come along for the journey? That's excellent!" Alisana appraised both of the females, glancing back and forth between them, smiling. They both seemed to have rather cheery dispositions, which gave her further hope on how the journey would turn out.

Then, Alisana took turns glancing at the strangers. A rather frightening-looking female from the Dark Tribe, and what seemed to be a skittish male from the Earth Tribe, his pelt the color of wet clay. The female nodded at Kaito's words. "I do hope they join. I agree - with me, it's always the more, the merrier." She grinned, looking up at him. Even though there were many unknowns here, already she was beginning to feel better and better about the prospect of this journey.
