Fresh from her Halloween capers, Piper had taken a quick power nap to get herself together again. She was still a little upset about the fact that she hadn't gone actual trick or treating in the human world, but then again, apparently they wouldn't be able to enjoy any of the human food anyway. Still a big shame in her book...And a big waste of time too. The night was almost over.

She took to wandering about the campus in search of more activities just in case. Maybe someone had something up last minute? But no, she had exhausted most of her opportunities, and she wasn't in the mood to travel too far in, for offices or for the forest activities...It was then that the ghoul found herself once more turning the corner not into the hallway but into the haunted house.

Jackdamn it. Worse, there was another creature waiting in the wings (literally and figuratively) to come after her.

Ah Jack, not this again. Piper turned the corner and found herself whisked not just to the Haunted House, but right smack dab against Mr. Batty Bat again. And he looked very pleased to have a rematch.

"Have it your way, ratty," she shrugged off, summoning her weapon.

Was it the same one, though? She saw it had a chipped ear and grew curious. Did the Haunted House just make these of its own volition, or was it just the miracle of Halloween happening before her that they multiplied? Jack, if these things multiplied then they were in some serious trouble...

Maybe it was the Haunted house's way of asking for help? Assuming it hadn't conjured them itself, maybe it had a pestilence issue with the holiday ramping things up. She wondered if the haunted house actually was aware at all...It was certainly old enough, it probably had a lot of fear to work with. And she had heard tales that it was sentient enough to send people to different rooms every visit. She certainly didn't recognize this place, even if the enemy was all too familiar.

Thankfully this one also seemed a little less hardier than the previous. Piper easily found ways to bring it down from the air before it got its momentum really going. Her favorite by far was to blast it with wind against the wall multiple times.

Look, she was vindictive and tired and ready to get her make up off and cool down with her minipets. Battling was fun and all, but this was a little tedious when it kept making noises at her and flying around all difficult and stuff.

This one was definitely easier to target. Was it tired? Or was she TOO BOSS.

Answer: she was totally too boss for this little thing.

Naturally it was just as she thought it that the bat started getting wise. Maybe she ought to not count her chickens before the eggs hatched. Wait, was that the phrase...?

Okay, now it was really becoming a pain in the a** to hit. Apparently at critical health it had found a speed boost neither of them had been previously aware of before.

She managed to whack it in passing and gave a frustrated growl. "Stop flapping around, damn it!"

Its wings were clipped, however, and it began to make mistakes. The biggest one was making a sharp turn to avoid a boulder she had conjured at it, veering into the chandelier. In a rain of dust, it shrieked and fell to the floor.

She thusly beat it into the ground (perhaps too violently and vindictively but, well, that was the kind of person she was) and was triumphant.
