The sun was well past the horizon by the time they arrived at Mt. Silver. It had already been nestling itself into the corner of the sky when they were at Bellsprout Tower, but by the time they soared up into the sky, and spotted another falling star that seemed worth investigating, the temperatures were dropping. It was clearly time to make camp, as they landed, even if their ride hadn't yawned his way through the latter part of the journey. Jas deserved a rest... even if he hadn't been flying all day, the fact that he'd been hauling two of them across regions was enough to earn him a nice long rest. And some food. She needed to feed all of her pokemon, really.

Ajicka almost felt tired as she climbed off Jas. Fatigue gnawed at the back of her mind, but she shook it off, glancing over to see ZK grimace through a yawn. He seriously needed to lighten up, and that said a lot, coming from her.
Glancing up at the starlit sky, she grabbed her pokeballs, nodding to him as she released her pokemon. "Come on, let everyone out. It's time for dinner," she urged. "What, no charging ahead to get the thing, first?" he replied back doubtfully, raising an eyebrow as he complied. She shrugged. "I need to do some reading. And I have a good idea of where it's at, so I'll send one of the pokemon once they've all eaten," she replied back. ZK glanced around, frowning. "How are we supposed to cook dinner here...?" he muttered, releasing his pokemon.

Obviously, Ajicka wasn't worried. For one, they may have been near snowier areas, but there was plenty of foliage just below-- they could grab some, if they wanted to build a fire. But for another? They had Jas' tail. That alone was a bonfire, and with him snoozing away, it would probably remain stationary enough to use to cook. Ajicka got to work setting it up, but no one was surprised she left ZK to monitor the food as it heated. She wasn't exactly a cooking expert, so she just sort of... reheated soups and things she got whenever they stopped in towns and cities. And while it cooked, she settled in, pulling out her books to see what she could learn about the galar region, and these stones. Maybe she should look into getting some more, though, or... seeing if there was an easier way to access information...

It wasn't like Ajicka was totally unaware of cyberspace or... the 'net or anything, but she was, in a way, very much an old soul when it came to that. She knew about it,but she'd never really relied on it. She always had books. She had her texts and her pamphlets and her own notes to go through and read up on whenever she needed to look into a new pokemon's moveset, or find out where something was, or narrow down a good training location. If she couldn't find what she wanted with what she had, she'd look into exchanging some of her books for new ones-- or, if she really needed, she would use the computer at the pokecenter. She didn't really have the wherewithal or.... concern, to consider just how outdated her methods were, but she had vaguely heard about devices that could let you access more information, more readily. Basically, the pokecenter computer, but mobile. She grimaced against the idea a bit, but it might be something that was worth looking into. And maybe she could get a... a rotom or something to help her expedite the process. So she didn't have to learn how to actually use any of it.

Mountains made since as a place they’d end up visiting. At least, until Lafayette discovered that once again, it as not just a mountain but also a cave. The hell was up with all these caves? It was like these wishing stars had been here all along and just recently resurface back into interest. Amazing really.
At least, it would’ve been if he were the science type. He wasn’t though. Lafayette was first and foremost a man of action; the kind to punch first and ask questions later. Traversing into Mt. Silver, Lafayette continued to ponder on his current situation. Why was he doing this? What exactly did he have to gain? Why did he bend himself to Julian’s every beck and call like some well-trained pokemon pup from the academy? He could probably get better work doing anything else. Being a plumber, an electrician or hell, even a being a firefighter. Those professions had all the potential to be far more fulfilling than running around as a would-be servant to a man with so many screws loose.
He could even get work on the Battle Station railways. That was always something that interested him when he was younger. His father enjoyed the work and those few times he’d accompanied him, he’d been nothing but fascinated by the labor effort that went into maintaining the on the rails battle track.

Lafayette huffed to himself. Despite allowing his mind to wander and ask these questions, he knew why he was here playing lacky as opposed to out being a rail worker. History always had the habit of catching up to a person, and he was no exception. His teenage years hadn’t exactly been spent following a, let’s say, righteous path. Hell, it might’ve had a bit more grit and grime that rail work could every allow and that was something he still needed to work past before he could ever hope to enjoy a “simple” life.
Plus, well, with the recent loss of his arm, the chances of gaining employment working as Battle Station maintenance was well… non-existent. Usually, losing a limb while working it what took you out of that line of work. So… what was he going to do with himself then? Juliean didn’t seem to be pleased with his sudden lack of an arm either, to be honest, and it was probably only a matter of time before he retired him for some new foot soldier.
Lafayette wasn’t sure he was ready for that. He was only 21, it was kind of early to be sitting around doing nothing. He was just too restless for that kind of thing… maybe that was where the appeal of working as a henchman came in? Maybe he could find work with another team…
His thoughts were disrupted at Noah’s cry and the sight of his team quickly rushing over to him, the Dewott with a shiny rock resembling a wishing star in paw. Oh wow, that had been a surprisingly fast find all things considered. Which was good, it was beginning to get just a bit too chilly for the Aussie’s liking. With a smile and a nod, he snatched up the shard and tucked it away with the others before summoning forth Dova once more to head off to their next destination.

Either way, they’d searched about maybe half of the upper mountainside as the minutes ticked by, and so far the bright red glow of a wishing star couldn’t be seen anywhere. Ugh… she really hoped they wouldn’t have to search this whole damn place just to find one, that’d just be an absolute pain in the a**…
Thankfully, it seemed they wouldn’t have to after all as a warbling call sounded off from nearby. Diamond dust billowed out from underneath Jaffa’s wings as he approached, chirruping proudly as he clutched a shiny purple rock giving off a red light in his talons. Huh, well s**t, maybe they should’ve just stuck with looking around the lower areas of the mountain instead… ”Nicely done, Jaffa,” she admonished with as warm of a smile as she could muster. She affectionately pat the Altaria’s neck before pulling herself up and out of the snow onto his back, his fluffy padding sparing him the chill of the snow still clinging to her boots, ”Now let’s get zee ******** out of here.” The cloud bird echoed that sentiment with a cheery trill, allowing Lam and Soho to climb into their seats as the Delphox alerted Sin and Chardonnay that they’d found the star and getting ready to leave. It hardly took long for the ghosts to return, and as soon as they did they were off, soaring off towards the falls serving as the bridge between the two regions to collect their last star in the region before departing for Kanto from there.】✧✧
