Personality: She is very easygoing but brash and will run into things without completely knowing what to do, but she finds fun in the mystery of it. She grew up a in calm enviroment but from time to time she and her father would cause a ruckus just to liven things up a bit and her mother didn't mind. It showed that Kole inherited her father's livening personality. After the incident with Haunter she began to try and forget all her dreams of becoming a trainer, much less a master, and became solemn for some time. This all changed when she befriended Cyndaquil. She reignited a spark within Koru that made her want to make up for lost time and go for her dreams. Even with her revived enthusiasm she is still cautious about things and isn't so naive anymore. To her she believes the need to show optimism also shows the need to show control of situations.
Strengths: One of Koru's greatest strengths is her ability to embrace challenges. She really isn't afraid to fail and knows that as long as she tries her hardest she'll be better for it in the end. She has a high enthusiasm for anything she does whether it be from chores to schoolwork to pokemon. She has intermediate skill in traditional dancing. She has been learning it since she was 4 at her mother's dance studio along with her sister. While she is usually high-energy she can be cautious and considerate to people and situations. She is quick to try and comfort others if they are feeling down or upset about something.
Weaknesses: Being quick into a task with such high enthusiasm the smallest hiccup could send her into a small panic. Growing up in Ecruteak and the surrounding ghost pokemon she's become suspicious of things around, i.e. a strange noise/rustling in the bushes, and may overreact.
Biography: Koru comes from a family of a long line of specialists. Most of her father’s family, more specifically him and his two brothers, worked with Fire pokemon and her mother’s family worked with multiple types, such her mother's sister working with water and her husband working with ground types or her cousin using electric types. While the flame of competition always filled the air during family-get-togethers it was her father Bryne that got her quickly aimed at the goal when she got to watch him battle in a tournament with his Arcanine. She couldn’t even begin to comprehend how outstanding they were and wished she had a pokemon so she could be that amazing too. When he wasn’t battling he was working in construction at Tin Tower and her mother was working as director at the dance theater. She and her sister, Kenna, took lessons there but she preferred the art of battling to dancing. When Kenna moved away to the Kalos region for a job she became a little disheartened but Kenna promised to come and see her in time and wished her luck on becoming a trainer.
When she was 9 years old she and her parents were partaking in the Autumn Festival, but she saw what she thought was a pokemon glowing in gold. She was mesmerized and wandered off to find it. After running deep into the woods she realized she was lost and came face to face with a Haunter who had tricked her and began to scare her even deeper into the forest. She wasn't aware of a Haunter's tricky and playful nature so she took it as a sign that it meant to harm her and ran farther to get away. She hid herself in a hollowed out tree and eventually fell asleep after being there so long. When she woke up it was morning and people were in the forest looking for her. This experience made her afraid of pokemon and she stopped playing with Arcanine and the others. She took up more time at the dance theater to keep herself busy, but her mother knew she was only doing this so her father wouldn't ask to go and play Arcanine. Her little brother Kenny was born after this and Koru promised to keep him safe no matter what, but like her he showed a enthusiastic and dreamy-eyed interest in pokemon and always wanted to play with Caterpie that approached the back yard. Koru never meant to, but she would be harsh and tell him no.
During the summer after Kenny's birth her father brought home a baby Cyndaquil, injured and presumably abandoned at the Tin Tower where he was working. Cyndaquil was afraid of being touched so it was tough treating any wounds without him shooting out a smokescreen. Bryne thought that Koru could have a go at it but she refused, despite feeling sorry for the little Pokemon. From time to time he would show Kenny Cyndaquil, but Koru scoffed off any interest. One night she woke up to crying and went out to see what was wrong and was shocked to find Weedles had gotten into the shack and was bothering Cyndaquil. Though extremely afraid she ran forth and scooped Cyndaquil up in her arms and took him inside where she didn't let go of him til the morning. She explain to her father what had happened but he was most of all glad to see that she was holding a pokemon in her arms again. She got to thinking about how scared Cyndaquil was and that she had been the same way, so asked her dad if she could train the Cyndaquil as it's trainer.

After it was found injured and alone by Koru's father she took it under her care in the hopes it would become her starter pokemon and her first step to becoming a fire pokemon master. Met here. He stole a snack bar from Koru and Cyndaquil jumped into a fight to defend her honor- and food. Feeling in the moment Koru happily made her first capture. ✾After falling asleep on the train Koru and her pokemon Cyndaquil arrive in the Evren region's Lamia train station. Immediately after leaving the train she becomes instantly intrigued by a girl and her Noivern. This intrigude sparked up a early friendship between Koru and the girl, later to know her name as Li Xia-Tian. They go off together to the academy, but unfortunately her stomach speaks more and they stop for some food at a cafe. While there their peaceful meal is interrupted by a curious Shinx and her trainer...
◉Opening Ceremony
✾Koru rocketed to the opening ceremony, meeting Evelyn along the way and when arrived she met with not only Xia but also Hayato, a friend of hers that Evelyn had met earlier as well. Seems fate brought the four of them together without even realizing.
◉First Day
✾Though sluggish in the morning Koru and Cyndaquil made it to her first class, Battle class. She couldn't contain her excitement but as soon as she entered she froze up. Upon entering she also inadvertently meets her roommate. Maybe they can talk later? Who knows but Koru took the chance to admit her goal as a trainer to the teacher, though he only asked why they wanted to take the class. After class she got her chance to meet her roommate again, but it didn't go as well as she hoped and started to feel like she messed up.
◉Two Weeks Later
✾It's been two weeks since Koru started at the school. She loves it so far but during battle class she was met with another meeting with her distant roommate Skylar Moore. Despite her cold attitude she likes the girl and wants to try and bring her out of her hard shell- she just needs to re-think her approach a little...
◉My First Capture!
✾After leaving her morning class a little lax Koru and Cyndaquil came to meet a Fletchling that decided to snatch her snacks. Cyndaquil decided to suck up its fear and fight for her food and Koru made her first pokemon capture ever! Cyndaquil also learned smokescreen and used it in the fight...it was hard to see though...
◉Realized Something...
✾At the end of history Koru had asked Ray to hang out in town and she was so happy he accepted and it was going well she thought- but then Ray suddenly ran away from her at Cafe Salvatore...When she found him she fell and injured her knees and chin, but ignored the pain and went to his side and she finally got something out of him about what has been hurting him. However, she couldn't take seeming him this way and began to cry as much as he did....Seems she has a lot more to learn about her friends-but how?
◉ASurprise?
✾Koru wakes up to a loud beeping of her pokegear and finds out her newly returned friend, Li Xiantian, is planning a surprise for her. What could it be? After the passed couple of days Koru could really use some cheering up of some sort- maybe Xiantian is just the person to do that for her!
◉Two Weeks Later and a School Trip...
✾ The past few weeks haven't been all that great...Koru has become focused on training with Cyndaquil and Fletchling more which is great- but that's the only great thing...Since certain events Ray has been avoiding her and she can't ask him why 'cause he runs from just seeing her...She feels like Marcus Bennett has something to do with it but she hasn't gotten any proof yet. To top it all off she finally tried to confront Skylar about her attitude with her, but all it ended up being was a screaming match between them...Now everyone's on this great field trip but all Koru can think about is if she was better off the way she was before she got to school...
Friends and Battles
✾ This trip was supposed to be fun, so why do I feel so down? Since the dance performace Ray has been keeping away from me like I have cooties or something. I feel like Marcus is helping him and I kinda want to tackle him...I know something more is going on and it hurts that Ray and I agreed he could talk to me if anything was wrong, and yet here we are. Boys are weird and I don't want to cry anymore. Kirsi has been the best friend ever on this trip and I owe her so much. I even gave her the Ivysaur plush I won at the booth today, but something still felt wrong. Winning the soccer game was definitely awesome! Kirsi was the MVP and the captain! I'm proud to be her friend : ) Tomorrow doesn't scare me so much now that I shared all this with her...but not knowing whats gonna happen is still making a little anxious...

◉People at School ◉Kirsi Rhodes★★★✰ xxxxxx Met in gym class as a new girl to the Salamence dorm. Has a Growlithe named Chance that likes to be petted. Already likes her as a friend. Update: Oh man I hope she's not mad at me! I don't think I can do this right anymore... Update: Kirsi is such a cool person and awesome person! We entered the tournament together...but I lost so I couldn't have a match with her, but she got 3rd place isn't that great!? ◉Li Xia-Tian★★★✰ xxxxxx Xia was the first person Koru met when she arrived in the Lamia district and her first official friend. Like her she is upbeat and is also a strong person that Koru admires a little. Hasn't seen her in a while and missed her greatly. Update: Xia really helped me out the last day of the trip I feel so bad for bring everyone down I need to make it up to her and everyone somehow! ◉Makoto Sharp and Inari★★★✰ xxxxxx Makoto is a friend from back home in Ecruteak City. When Koru began to despise pokemon after the incident in the woods she cut herself off from Makoto and her other friends. Makoto actually became her roommate and though talking normally was awkward Makoto forgave Koru and even helped cheer her up when she was sad over what Marcus had said about her. She sees Makoto as a true friend and doesn't want to mess up their friendship ever again. Since Koru didn't take in Cyndaquil til after she had distanced herself from her friends none of them got to meet him and vice versa, but Cyndaquil finds Makoto's Vulpix, Inari, really pretty.
◉ Ray Myers★★★✰ xxxxxxKinda shy and reserved, but she appreciates his insight. She likes him and considers him a pretty close friend already, but she feels something's hurt him but she's afraid to ask him about it or it might hurt him even more. His pokemon is really cute and fluffy. Update:Now knows something is hurting him, but as to what it could be is still the mystery...Afraid for him and cares for his well-being more than ever now. Update: I'm not sure why but for past few weeks he's been avoiding me...I wish we could talk like we used to but I probably messed this one up too... Update: He doesn't hate me! ◉ Koru is the middle child, between an older sister and a baby brother ◉ Koru, though usually happy and confident, is extremely scared of the dark and ghost pokemon [see bio] ◉ She can read upside down ◉ Though she has great ambitions she can get self conscious rather quickly ◉ She is left-handed ◉ The choker necklace she is always seen wearing was a gift from her cousin, Staci. She has an identical one and considers it as a type of friendship charm, but the charm broke off by accident not too long after recieving it and was afraid to lose it again if she put it back on, so it's left blank compared to her cousin's. ◉ Despite loving fire types she says if she could be any pokemon she would be a Mareep because they are so fluffy xxxxxx◉ As a side note for the first 6 years of her life she slept in Mareep onesie pajamas xxxxxx◉ If anyone finds out or worse sees the pictures she may literally jump into a volcano... ◉ The only time Koru likes to dress up is in her favorite festival yukata. xxxxxx◉ Her favorite one includes a obi design after Cyndaquil. It was given to her by her mother shortly after she received Cyndaquil. ◉ She makes it know that her dream is to become a fire pokemon specialist and meet Entei, but what doesn't tell anyone is that she wants to be Entei's trainer. She mainly keeps this a secret because she doesn't want anyone to make fun of her. ◉Surprisingly Cyndaquil does like water, as long as it is super hot or equal to a hot spring temperature.
