"Are you sure about this?" Uru questioned as he stretched his arm, locking it across his chest with the other. He squatted down , pushing his weight down on one bent leg as the other stretched out, his eyes focused on the monster hound before him. He had stripped down to just his tank top and pants, laying out his -folded - clothes by the bleachers. It had came up briefly in discussion, but how he had found himself on the sparring field outside of the gym was beyond him. He was all for sparring. He enjoyed it. It wasn't often he got to let out his practiced motions on a moving, countering target. It was also a better work out, honestly. He got to use his FEAR and locate the weaknesses within them.

Uru hadn't actually witnessed Damien's FEARs. He was going to have to stay on his toes to not be caught by surprise. The demon hound seemed to flaunt his FEAR often. The monster knew of his blue fire, kinda how it worked, and how well Uru could use it - or how he cannot use it.

Plus, there was the factor that he may actually be hurting someone he really cared about that put him uneasy.

Damien knew that he was going to be staying longer as he took on extra training in the agency for honing his acting abilities, leaving less time to dedicate to his graduation. Uru was once a knob and suddenly the demon was ready to leave himself. Now it was a question as to who could beat who. The hellhound could recall telling the boil in the beginning that he was already too strong to fight him without a handicap, but did it hold any weight now? "Yeah, lets get this done." He replied back confidently, losing the jacket and checking his greaves and the straps holding them in place.

The demon had pushed himself closer and closer to graduation without realizing it. He was simply putting himself out there; taking classes, meeting new students, and the occasional spars only happened because he was conveniently there. He was a good fighters, taught to hunt and defend himself, pushed himself beyond the natural limitations - or at least the stereotypical ones - to become strong. But his opponent was a monster, whom are naturally stronger than himself. "Just don't hold it against me later. 'Right?"

Uru rolled his shoulders before crouching down, drawing his fists up as he dashed forward with an outward jab. He was being cautious, testing limits, boundaries, and reactions.

"Well, you have to catch me first before I have to hold it against you." Damien replied back in full bravado, Keeping the pin in place for now and sticking to the student form. Uru was already on the offensive, lunging into his personal space. He should have figured that the Demon was an infighter. "You always did like being close." he muttered, taking the jab and rolling with it and using the boil's position to pull him off his center and send him to the ground and making some distance between them.

"Just so you can't get away." He countered with a grin. It was brief was he was toppled, gritting his teeth as he took throw. Trying not to miss a beat, the demon hound kicked out with his foot. Even if he did hit him, the purpose was to act on one's instincts to avoid being hit to give himself time to get up. Uru kept the distance between them as close as possible - it was his style. His range was all close, including his FEARS. He was lucky to even manage wins over some students who preferred ranged combat.

The demon hound had to remind himself that he wasn't really intended on harming the monster. This was a test of strength between two individuals in a safe, controlled environment. No hurting. No hurting Damien.

Uru reached forward with a one-two hook.

The hook around his leg didn't let Damien get as far away as he hoped, swinging his arms to keep balanced. And Uru was in his face again, causing him to try and bat away the punches to less vital areas on his body. 'You're getting in my space though." It wasn't easy using non violent maneuvers for the monster, side stepping and giving the Demon hound a knee to the buttocks. "I might as well go for the area with the most padding on you." he added cheekily.

The dark tail flicked at the knee, his hands slapping it away before reaching for the monster. "Padding? I recall you enjoying me in your space, anyway." Uru rumbled as he grappled with the boil, throwing his weight - their weight - forward. He couldn't right well punch the monster too hard, he'd be regretting it later. He was pulling punches... but he was kinda enjoying it.

He chuckled.

"Not when we are sparring!" Damien piped up and shoved at the Demon's shoulder. Shuffling of clothes and it was like being at home, planting his feet in the boil's midsection and using the leverage to get Uru away. "I can't believe you are even laughing at this, i should knock you one on the chin for good measure."

"So, it's completely situational?" Uru returned, letting out a soft oof as he was kicked away. He tumbled before picking himself back up, giving chase to the monster hound. Bounding after him. For someone as himself, relatively larger and of higher mass, he was going to have to put in effort to catch Damien. Though, he manages to shove at his shoulder before nearly tripping over himself. "We taking this seriously now or are we going to keep playing?"

Damien rolled his eyes at the demon who had him by the collar. "I've been waiting for you to get serious the entire time." he took the moment to shrug off the hand on his shoulder. "So are you done pussyfooting around or are we going to do this Uru?" he asked, cocking his hip and grinning at the boil. "Playtime can only go on for so long, bub."

Uru gave an indignant huff at the boil. He recalled being shouldered, shoved, and kneed in the rump, so who was actually taking this seriously? Blue flames ignited from his palms, seeping through the creases of his fingers, engulfing clenched fists. He dashed forward, hook drawn back to let loose into a string of attacks that would leave him defenseless, but explode his FEAR into his opponent. At least, he would have. He would have struck the boil with right hooks, jabs, midsection uppers, knees, round houses, but he didn't. His flames expired before his fists reached the boil, the jab missing. Uru looked at the monster with wide eyes before withdrawing away he had almost hit Damien with his most powerful FEAR...

"Alright, serious." He cleared his through, shaking himself out, his tail swaying behind him. "Starting now. Serious."

It was adorable at first to Damien. All the pussyfooting at first like puppies and scarelings trying to be superheroes taking on a made up villain. The novelty was cute, and was quickly wearing off and turning into an annoyance and borderline insulting. He wasn't sure if the Demon was taking him seriously, or just didn't have the heart to hit him. and that was working on his nerves. Was he not good enough to take the attack and Uru quickly dispelled the fire?

The plumes of smoke were already billowing from his eyes, black and green swirls in the air like smoke signals waiting to be read. "Any day now bub. or are you just waiting for me to make the move?"

Uru's moment of panic seemed to have ticked off the monster. He rarely saw the boil's smoke manifest like that... Even when he encountered Melas. He didn't want to disappoint. He didn't want to appear weak to someone he cared about the most. The one he should be able to protect. And he wasn't showing that he could. Cracking his fists, Uru closed the distance between them again, grabbing at the hellhound's shoulder as if to hold him to attack. However, the punch that would follow was but a faint for what was really going on. It was the hand that was in contact with the monster. Slowly his FEAR spread from his grip, frost creeping slowly beneath his hand.

"You know how tactile I am."
