Under a bright sun a little blue shape frolicked alone, having wandered away from the family when the natural curiosity of a cub had gotten the better of her. On her fur was reflected the sky above, clear of the clouds that floated by over head. The sun's rays followed lines to her legs, which appeared to copy the water on both a calm and a stormy day, the waves on her hind legs curving upwards harshly.

Pale eyes watched the world around her as Jocosa swiveled her ears and twitched her nose at all the sounds and smells. It hadn't been long ago that she had woken for the first time, nestled in a soft heap of fur. The warmth and the comfort was not something she could have easily described. And, as much as she loved the company, it was nice to relax a bit by herself. Explore the world.

A soft flutter passed by one of the cub's ears, making her flick it fiercely at the tickling sensation it left. Unlike the pestering flies that sometimes came at her, it didn't come back. She turned her head towards it, but seen nothing at first. She spun in a circle, hoping it was still buzzing around her, but all she ended up doing was making herself dizzy. Plopping down on her read-end, Jocosa took a few seconds to allow her head to clear, her eyes closed. The soft brush of little wings returned. She opened her eyes and, on the tip of her nose, was a little, colorful creature staring back at her. The cub sent a little jet of air upwards to make it take flight, watching it glide back down to within catching distance of the little Nantlil. She took this as an invitation to play, chasing after it as it fluttered around just out of her reach.
