The Fire Chronicler had moved further into the Fire Tribe's territory, her eyes becoming more and more transfixed on the volcano. It was so different from where she had 'grown up', if grown up was the right phrase to use. She had been woven as an adult, as most had been from what she gathered. From time to time the Grand Weaver would put a cub out on their own. She assumed most woke in their own Tribe, giving safety and comfort to the lost and confused. Especially for the younger B'alam. But she also knew they could wake in the neutral lands. The lands between Tribe's. Or even in another Tribe's territory, though she didn't think that very likely. The Chronicler's were a different case. They had a purpose to be where they were. And, though she disliked the water, it would always be what she considered home.

This place, however, was also home, in a way. Eulalia couldn't stop thinking about the fact this was where the B'alam that looked more like her were. As she traveled alone through this land, she had seen some from far away. When she got closer, she had lost them. Whether partly from her curiosity finding something else to look at or her inexperience with this land, she couldn't say. And it wasn't like anyone was going to ask her why she had failed to get close enough to certain B'alam.

The mask made it difficult to see. Yes.

At the moment, she was slowly drifting closer to the volcano, her mask settled on her face comfortably, her stomach full from a meal that would last her a while. It was time to get down to business. It was time to finally find her a story to report back with.

Not far off in the distance, a figured laid upon the base of the volcano. Her fine fur clean of any suit and ash despite the fact that she was resting directly in the heart of the remains from the times this mountain had blown its top. A loud rumble shook the earth, and a roar seem to come from the large hole in the earth, yelling, screaming at the B’alam to awake. “ALRIGHT! The female roared back as she opened her eyes and stood up. “I’M UP!” She turned back to the volcano and let out a roar of anger in its direction.

A freshly woven life, a freshly awoken soul. This one though happened to be slightly different than the rest. She had awoken with a gran purpose, and she already knew what that was. She was to be the Fire Skati of the Valkyries. A fact she already knew from the moment she awoken. Yes most freshly woven beings where a little lethargic and a bit ignorant for a short time, but this awoken soul was a little more prepared for her future life she was about to live.

Ascua shook off her sleepy state and looked up to the volcano with a slight glare, a small snarl lifted up from her lips before she turned her back upon it. “You could have awoken me a little closer to home…” She snorted looking up to the sky. Yeah she could complain and argue all day but that would do no good. “Thanks…” she muttered before shaking out her coat again.

Slowly her claws dug into the ground, feeling the earth beneath them as she gave a soft purr of delight. Slowly she started to make her way down to the flat lands, then away from the Volcano. Allowing her instincts to guide her in the direction that the Valkyries called home. Ready to meet her sisters as well. Little did she know that the Grand Weaver was about to toss an interesting encounter into her path before she could meet up with her Sister Skatis. Apparently the Weaver felt Ascua’s story was one to be told for some reason, or maybe she might need a lesson in manners? I feel it safe to go with the later.

Through the slits in the mask, Eulalia watched the lava flow from a safe distance, entranced by it. To her it was a stream thick with orange plant life below the surface, giving it the appearance of being a solid color. Like a pond full of algae or seaweed, giving it a beautiful green tinge of color. The Water Tribe had many streams. Nothing quite like this. This bubbled. It gave off steam. It would probably really hurt if she touched it, unlike water, which was just a discomfort. Or was she, as fire blood, able to touch it?

No. Probably not. That would be silly. That would be like thinking only Water Tribe members could swim when all B'alam had the tools to. B'alam weren't that different. They all had fur. They all got burned.

Unfortunately, the slits in Eulalia's mask were too narrow as her eyes were fixated on the volcano. She almost didn't hear the other Nantlil until they were nearly on top of each other. The sound of footprints brought her attention back to her own path and she jumped back quickly, landing on her behind and releasing her muzzle from the mask at the same time so she could utter a quick sorry at almost trampling the other lady.

"I should have been watching my surroundings."
