Today Mazin was on a mission of sorts. His mother had grown tired of looking after him all day, what with Mazin clinging to her like a bug and all. The part that was the worst for her however was that Mazin knew he was annoying. It was incredible to him, how easily his family was flustered by his antics and playing. It made him laugh.

So, she had sent him away to look for very important gems. Or at least that's what she had told Mazin they were. He was on a mission, he needed to find shiny rocks that were red like his eyes.

Only he was a bit distracted from his goal. Currently the black fiery cub was hoping over stones with amusement. The ribbon he had tied to his forehead was flopping around as he did so, skipping around and pretending he had to avoid hot boiling lava around him.

It had been a couple of days since his parents had allowed him to go on his last excursion, and goodness had it taken a LOT on convincing! In a way he supposed he couldn't really blame them, he kinda was trailing around nipping at Magi Vulkonus' scarf. He'd managed to damage the seams quite some bit before his Mother had spotted him and leaped into action bowing and apologizing profusely for his poor judgement.

He had simply rolled his eyes at his Mother's words and pulled against her tight bonds to try and bat at those seams a little more. but she was having none of it. Before he knew it he was being drug back to the den by his tail.

And that was the last time he'd been allowed outside the den. Come to think of it, his tail and bottom were still a little sore from all her tugging! He was sure the mountain she had made out of his situation was nothing compared to how silly it actually was, but she was his Mother. Surely she had some point to her madness?

The cub continued his walk, narrowly avoiding the larger stones, stubbing ones paw was a very undesirable outcome in these parts. When something hit his ears, the sound of rolling rocks!

"H-Hey? Who's here? I heard you y'know!"

His voice deepened into something very strange and funny sounding as he tried to replicate Magi Vulkonus' voice. His chest puffed much like a paroo's and his little paws stood trembling. Surely it was nothing dangerous right?

Magi Vulkonus wouldn't let anything scary in!

A gasp of shock escaped his little jaws as a realization hit him square in the gut.

'What if it was Magi Xiaofan'

"Oh no" He whispered, "Please don't me Magi Xiaofan..."

Mazin was balancing on one of the smaller stones, swaying with only one foot on it while pretending to not fall into a pit of molten lava below. "Wo-woah!" He grinned while imagining the whole cavern area as the deep inside of a volcano, a big bubbling pool of lava and heat for him to desperately try to avoid.

His imaginary scenery was interrupted however as the dark cub looked up to notice that someone was talking to him. His ears perked forward with interest and Mazin took a step off his small rock to try and find the source of the new voice. It didn't sound like his mother, father, or any of his siblings either...

"Who are you?" He asked the mysterious voice. "I'm Mazin, whose out there?"
