After calling the police, they took his body and within a week he was buried, but there was no memorial service for him which he found strange. Name: Vivian Smith Age: 18 Vivian grew up living a privilaged life. She always had everything she needed and then some and there were always people around to talk to. But she never could agree with anything that anyone at the castle would talk about. It was all polatics and foreign affairs. She always wanted to talk about something interesting! Like adventure, mystery and love! But everyone else thought that she was silly for wanting something so strange. So as the years went on the more she wanted something more than just politics and pleasantries, she wanted an adventure! One like the ones she read about in her books where young girls and boys go off and explore their worlds while making friends and saving the world along the way. Her father has other plans for her, so instead of learning to use a sword she learned to see and instead of riding like a madwoman through the forest she was forced to ride like a proper lady. She loved her parents and her kingdom very much, she just wished that they gave her a little more freedom.

Vivian Smith ✦ The warmth that surrounded Vivian was almost stifling but she was way to tired to even bother with dealing with it. Instead she curled up deeper into her blanket pile with a small groan of exhaustion. It took her a few minutes but she had finally grown used to the warmth, to bad her hand maid Maria decided that now was a good time to interrupt her cozy cuddle session with her blankets. "Are you still asleep Princess Vivian? Oh dear you have over slept! How could you do that? Now you have missed your lessons and we have to start getting you ready for tonight immediately!" A small, sweet looking woman, who could not have been to much older than Vivian, cried as she hurried over to the bed and yanked the largest of the blankets away. Doing so revealed a countless number of books scattered around the bed with the princess in the middle of it all curled in on herself. "Princess? Did you stay up all night again reading? You know that your father would be very displeased if he found out!" The princess had finally decided to humor her maid and sit up, stretching as she did so. ✦ Talking - #ccaa99 / Thinking - #bbaacc ✦ "That's exactly why he won't find out. Right Maria? Because you wouldn't want me to get in trouble fore doing something that I enjoy right?" Vivian as she sat up onto her knees and pleaded with the woman who tried to look cross with her but gave up in favor of giving her princess an adoring smile instead. "Why princess I don't even know what you are talking about. I remember you missing your lessons because I was nursing you through a migraine all day." Maria chuckled, earning a thankful hug from the princess. "But I do insist upon getting you ready so you must get up princess! The party is only in four hours and we still have a lot to do before either of us are ready!" Maria's excitement was coupled with a begrudging groan from the princess who only followed her into the bathroom because she was to tired to fight back. ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ The two women hurried down the hall together after getting ready for four and a half hours. They were now late. "I told you that putting the flowers into my hair would take to long Maria. Now we're late and mother is going to be cross with me." Vivian sighed as she hiked her dress up a bit so that it was a little easier to walk with. It wasn't poffy like most women preferred, in fact it was a rather plain dress like Maria's, after all she didn't like that weird poofy style that people were trying to bring back from a time long ago. The only difference was the embroidering of flowers in different hues of blue, purple, and pink that decorated the hem along with the golden broach in the shape of a star that she had pinned up near her left shoulder. It had been a gift from her father for her seventeenth birthday and she always wore it because it reminded Herod the northern star that was mentioned in a few of her books. "I'm sorry Princess! But you're dress is so plain so I thought... Princess what are you doing?" Maria asked, covering her mouth in horror as she watched the princess take off her shoes and start running with her dress hiked up to her knees. "I'm sorry Maria but I can't be even more late then I already am!" And with that she was gone around a corner with Maria calling after her to wait. ✦
✦ The party had already started when she ran through the doors that led to the ballroom. A few people turned to look at her when she came running in like a mad woman but dismissed her as a lower class because of how she was dressed. This actually worked in her favor because now she could claim that she had been here the whole time and no one would be the wiser because they had first brushed her off as a maid. After quickly slipping into her shoes once more she went on a mad search for her father, a few people who actually recognized her stopping her now and then to greet her. Twenty minutes had passed and she was about to give up on finding her father when a familiar figure walked through the crowd looking around as if he was waiting for someone. "Father! Excuse me I have to get to my father. Father!" She called out as she pushed her way through the crowd towards her father. ✦

As the King welcomed their guests, he began to wonder where Vivian was at. He let out a smile sight. "She's late again..." He said as he continued to mingle with the guests. After a few minutes, he walked around the ballroom, very curious now as too where she was at. He was able to find her moments later and made his way towards her, a smile on his face. He gave her a hug as they both finally found eachother. He looked at her with a smile on his face. "Ah my beautiful daughter, my sweet Vivian. It's about time I was able to find you." He said with a slight chuckle. "Come, I wish to formally introduce you to our guests, and possible husband." he said as he led her up the staircase and the podium, overlooking the whole party and the guests. He cleared his throat, as if he was about to announce something. "Attention! Honored and privileged guests! I welcome you all to our wonderful kingdom, and I thank you for coming during our daughter's most important time in her life, for my daughter is to be wed to a very suitable man. So please, enjoy your time and I wish my daughter the most happiness in who she decides to choose." The king said finally as he started clapping, with the whole audience applauding as well. However, as the clapping started dying down, someone was still clapping. Confused, the guests looked around to see who was still causing it. They all looked towards the center and they parted away from him. It was a tall man, dressed in dark clothing and had black spiky hair. He looked at the King and Vivian, a smirk on his face. "I must say that was a rather good speech, but unfortunatly for you, it's not going to end happily as you may think." He said with a smile on his face. The king looked at the man with confusion and disgust. "Who are you? How did you get in here? Only royalty was invited to this party." The king stated simply, only for the man to scoff. " I find it hilarious that you set up this party and can't even keep an eye on your guests. Sounds like sheer stupidity to me." The man said, still with a sly smirk on his face. The king was now angry. " Guards! Escort this man out of here!" The king shouted as the guests started moving farther away from the man. The guards pulled out electric rods to try to subdue the man, but as one of the guards came too close, the man grabbed the rod quickly pulled it out of his hands, and swung it at his feet, knocking him to the ground. He then quickly curb stomped him, and the guard stopped moving. Another guard charged after the man, only to get butted with the end of the rod and smacked with it, knocking him to the ground. The man walked up to the guard. "Unbelievable... he said simply as he then forced the electrical part of the rod into the guard's face. The guard screamed for a few seconds. After that, the screaming stopped and he went limp. The king and the guests were now frightened. The guests wanted to leave and the king was now in front of his daughter. "What is it you want? I will give you anything as long you leave us. The king told the man, trying to be reasonable.

Vivian Smith ✦ Vivian ran into her father's embrace when she finally caught up to him. She loved receiving hugs from her father, they were always so warm and protective like a father's hug should be. "Father you know how I feel about looking for a suitor! I would rather it be done naturally, not through some party to entertain a bunch of rich people." She tried to tell her father for what felt like the millionth time but like always her pleas fell upon deaf ears. She accepted her father's arm with a defeated sigh when it was offered to her, a distressed Maria finally catching up to her as her father lead her up to the podium. Maria being the good hand maid/babysitter that she was followed behind her princess and stood a few feat away while the king gave his speech. ✦ Talking - #ccaa99 / Thinking - #bbaacc ✦ Vivian clapped along with everyone else when her father finished giving his speech, although she wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about it, and even gave her father a light pat on his shoulder. She had been so distracted with how happy her father seemed that she hardly noticed the one person still clapping until her father began to frown. What could possibly be wrong now? She wondered curiously as she looked out at the crowd. Everyone had parted from the center of the group aside from one man who looked an awful lot like the main hero from her favorite book. The only difference was the mysterious look in his eyes as he looked up at them at the podium. Sadly she had only gotten a quick look at the man because her father had stepped in front of her right before the fighting had started. "Maria what's happening? I can't see past my father!" She asked the blonde female who was staring out at the crowd in horror. "This man just took out a group of you father's greatest soldiers! How does a man even... Princess Vivian what are you doing?!" Maria screamed as Vivian managed to slip past her father and her hand maid before running towards one of the fallen guards. ✦
✦ "Are you alright?" She asked the guard as she knelt down beside them. She recognized this one, it was a female by the name of Carmen who would always sit with Vivian and talk about her adventures outside the castle. Vivian took ahold of Carmen's wrist while pressing her fingers to the pulse point. There was something there but it was so faint that she almost missed it. "What are you doing you, you... You brute!" She snapped up at the dark man who had attacked the guards, her people! "Who gave you the right to just waltz in here and start attacking people? I can understand wanting to crash a party but this is just taking that yo a whole new level! Who are you?" She demanded, standing herself up to her full height. She was suddenly very thankful for the heels she was wearing because they brought her a little closer to the mysterious man's height. ✦

"Vivian! Get back over here right now!" The king shouted at her, demanding that she returned by his side for her safety. The man looked down at the young princess as she tried to stand up for herself. A smile came to his face. "Well well well, Princess Vivian. I've been expecting you." The man said as he grabbed her and pulled her close to him, grabbing her tightly, refusing to let her go. As he did that, more guards came in, this time with guns and they were all aiming at her. "I don't think so." he said as he pushed a few buttons on his wrist, and a few moments later, two air drones flew in through the window, both heavily armed, one aiming at the guards and the other aiming at the princess. "You so much as even think of pulling the trigger, I will kill you and the princess." he said as he looked at the guards then at the King. "What now? I have control of your men and your daughter! I will return you to her, for the right amount of course. I will send you a message of what I want for your daughter, and if it's not paid by the end of the month, she dies!" The man said as another air drone flew in and the main jumped on it with the princess still in his arms and flew off, the other two following closely behind him. After a few minutes, they landed in front of what looked to be an abandoned prison. The man landed on the ground with the princess and let go of her, keeping her in his sight, still smiling at her. "Welcome princess to your new home!"

Vivian Smith ✦ Her father's warning came to late as the man spoke to her before pulling her towards him. Her eyes widened as the man held onto her. She had been so shocked that she almost forgot what was happening, but when the two drones flew in armed to the gears she immediately began to kick and flail about. "Don't hurt them! I'm the one you were after am I not? Leave them alone!" She spat out as she glared up at the man, her look daring him to shoot her just so she could spit him and make herself useless. "Princess! Leave the princess alone you monster!" A delirious Maria screamed as she made a dash for her charge only to be stopped by one of the King's guard. She continued to scream for her princess to come back which broke Vivian's heart into a million pieces, and she did try to wriggle her way out of her captors arms she really did, but he had been to fast. She was on a larger drone in a matter of seconds and calling out for her father and Maria as she was spirited away by the mysterious man. ✦ Talking - #ccaa99 / Thinking - #bbaacc ✦ She refused to look at the man until she was placed on the ground. She ignored his words in favor of taking in her surroundings while trying to come up with an escape plan. She wasn't stupid, she knew that she wasn't strong enough to take on her kidnapper nor was she fast enough to outrun one of his drones. Maybe him but not the drones. So she would just have to wait until he took his eyes off of her, even if it was only for a second. "Well sir you seem to have me at a disadvantage. You know my name but I do not know yours. May I at least know the name of my kidnapper so I know what to write on you're grave marker when my father finds you and has you executed?" She asked the tall male, a sweet smile plastered onto her face as she spoke. She had been told once by Maria that it was 'morbid' when she did that but she really didn't care what the other thought of her. She would rather die then impress him in any way, shape, or form. ✦

The man looked at Vivian when she asked for his name. He laughed after her comment. "Alright princess, if you insist." he said as he cleared his throat. "My name is Jonathan Masters, and I am the leader of the rebel group known as Black Caliber. And that's all you need to know about us Princess." he said with a smirk on his face as he turned his back to her. "Oh, and don't worry about your father executing me, he already killed me long ago, and now he's learning the hard way on what it means to loose someone..."He said quietly as he started walking towards the building, all three air drones glaring down at her, keeping her in their sight. "Come along princess, I might give you a tour if you behave."

Vivian Smith ✦ Vivian frowned when she heard his name. "Masters? That sounds familiar. I think I remember hearing my father mention that surname to my hand maid when they thought I was asleep." She said calmly, her frown deepening when she heard his position. This is dangerous. If I anger him he will kill me for sure. I better behave myself until I see a chance to escape, besides if I behave then I can get a tour that could help me with planning my escape. She thought as she removed her shoes and followed behind the male. If she was going to be walking around for an unknown amount of time then she was not going to do it in a pair of the most uncomfortable shoes she had ever owned. "Hey wait up if you want me to follow you! Jerk!" She murmured the last insult under her breath as she set her shoes down nearly before hiking up her dress and running after the male. ✦ Talking - #ccaa99 / Thinking - #bbaacc ✦ She allowed her dress to fall back down when she finally caught up to Jonathan, seeing no danger of it tripping her as long as she was only walking. "Alright Mr Masters. What did you mean by what you said about my father already having killed you. You're obviously not dead as I am talking to you at the moment. So something must have been taken from you, something that you blame my father for so you started a rebellion to get him back. And you had to have been a part of some armed force to get the drones, I'm guessing that you were a. Mech Pilot or are related to one. And why do I feel like you're going to kill me reguadless if my father gives you what you want or not?" She questioned the male all while knowing that she was walking on a thin line by doing so. ✦

As Jonathan was leading Vivian towards the main gate, he stopped dead in his tracks when she started asking way too many questions. He didn't turn to face her however. "You know, for a princess you sure do ask a lot of questions. I'll be more than happy to oblige you, only if you promise never to ask me any more stupid questions." he said as he turned his head to look at her, only to look foreward once again moments later. "Yes, it's true, I knew someone very...influential in the mech force. After his unfortunate passing..." he stopped and was quiet for a few moments before continuing. "...several very close co-workers generously donated many of their battle drones, armor, weapons, and HIS greatest prize..." he said again as he looked over to a part of the prison building, which stood five stories tall and looked like it could store a lot of prisoners, or a large supply of stuff. He then turned to look at the princess. "I'm not going to kill you, I just needed something to inspire your father to try to come look for you, and once that happens...it will all fall into place. I can't tell you how much I despise your father, because he has done things that rulers should never do. I won't tell you cause I don't think that you want to hear anything bad about your pig-headed father." Jonathan stated to her. Talking about the king made his blood boil, when he spoke about him, he spoke with deep hatred. "Alright, enough goofing around, let's continue." he said as he turned around and continued walking towards the main gate, all three of the drones still keeping the princess in their line of sight. As Jonathan walked up to the gate, he made a bit of small chat with the guard. "Hey! So the mission was a success. Congrats boss, we all knew you could do it. the guard said to Jonathan, followed by a chuckle. "Yeah, it was way too easy. The king's security is absolutely terrible. Just walked right in." he said followed by more laughter. "So, how was it this morning? Just as bad as yesterday?" Jonathan asked the guard in a now serious tone. The guard nodded. "Yeah, they came charging in through the tunnel again this morning. Their raid lasted ten minutes before we shot down their strike party. We still can't continue onward because of those stupid mine traps, and unfortunately we did lose three more to them. Our forces are getting smaller and smaller each day, I still hope we can last out this long in order for help to arrive." the guard said to Jonathan with a concerned tone in his voice. Jonathan gave him a reasurring smile and nodded. "I can assure you, as long as we have it, we won't allow them to get through." he said as he gently patted his shoulder as the guard finally allowed them access and both Jonathan and Vivian walked past the gate and into the prison walls.

Vivian Smith ✦ She had been daughter off guard when the other had finally stopped. Something about him when he began to address her, his back turned to her almost adding to the already dark vibes coming off of him. So I was kind of right. Interesting... Masters. It sounds so familiar but I just can't place it! The more he spoke the more she kept thinking of his last name. It kept tumbling around, and around in her head driving her closer to frustration with every second. She had been so caught up with trying to figure out the name that she had almost missed the look that he had sent to another part of the prison. It appeared to be a large storage room that he was looking at, one that could hold a large store of weapons probably. Sadly her attention was forced away from the mysterious spot in, what appeared to be, the prison when he began talking once more. ✦ Talking - #ccaa99 / Thinking - #bbaacc ✦ So he says I'm not going to die and I guess that's a good thing. But why would he want my father... Oh no he doesn't plan on killing Father does he? He can't that would send the kingdom into chaos and I'm not ready to take over the kingdom! And that's even if this man will allow me my birthright! And what does he mean when he says that my father has done horrible things? She stared at the man with wide eyes as he turned to continue on his way, her already high discomfort level skyrocketing to a new level that she didn't even know existed, before remembering that the drones would probably shoot her if she didn't keep up. He might of told her that he wasn't going to kill her but that didn't mean he wouldn't shot her, and to be honest she was not all that curious about how it felt to be shot by anything. So she sped up her walk a bit to catch up. ✦
✦ She thought about the name some more as they wandered toward whatever destination that the man had in store. Never looking up to see where they were going, a stupid mistake on her part, until she heard the voice of a new person. "My father's guards have never had a reason to be suspicious of anyone until now." She mumbled under her breath, listening to the rest of the conversation with only mild interest. Now that she listened to Jonathan speak a bit more he did sound kind of familiar. She could have sworn that she had heard a voice kind of similar to his only older and gravilier. This thought kept floating around in her head as she followed him through the gate, more focused on the back of his head then anything else. Then something struck in the back of her head. "He's the son of General Masters..." She whispered quietly to herself while a memory of her father taking her to go see a demonstration with all of his Mech Pilot generals. She remembered the kind general well, he had spoken politely to her and unlike the other generals he had tried to include her in their conversations. Sure this was probably only because she was the princess but she had found it nice. Why is a General's son behaving this way. Don't tell me that his father was the one that died! She gasped aloud, immediately covering her mouth when she had realized what she had done. ✦

Jonathan heard the princess gasp loudly behind him and he stopped and looked over at her, only to find her hands over her mouth. After a few moments, a smirk came to his face. "What's the matter princess? Swallow a bug? Or you just realized what your going to be staying in for awhile? Don't worry, it's not too bad...well, not for me anyway." he said followed by laughter as they walked into the complex. He looked around to see everyone working and this brought a smile to his face. He looked over to the right of him and to see in the corner were three body bags. His smile disappeared and he let out a sigh. "I promise that your deaths were not in vain." he said as he continued walking with the princess following closely behind him. After a few more minutes of walking, they came across an open cell. Jonathan smiled as he turned to face Vivian once more. "Here you are princess! Your new home. I hope you like it. We have been trying to keep it up to your standards. You can go ahead and stay in here, or would you like the tour now?"

Vivian Smith ✦ "I am not so shallow to worry about where I stay based on how it looks! Though my reason for being there may make me a little less willing to be there. No instead I just thought about a lesson that I skipped today by accident! It's. A shame that I've missed my lesson is social etiquette." This was of course a lie but it was the best that she could come up with on the spot. She wasn't used to having to lie to people, it just made her feel... Disgusting. She watched as he said some sentimental words to three large bags but she didnt understand why until she remembered what the guard had said only moments ago. "T-Those are bodies! But why? Oh god those are bodies of my people! Who would..." She whispered quietly, stopping in front of one of the bags only to be shooed away by one of the people nearby. My father wouldn't send his troops here to fight his own people... Would he? And wouldn't I have found out if one of my father's prized generals died?" These thoughts plagued her mind as the drones forced her to catch up. ✦ Talking - #ccaa99 / Thinking - #bbaacc ✦ Vivian walked silently behind Jonathan for the rest of the walk, a million question bouncing around through her head as they went. She was so obsessed with his thoughts that she had even failed to react to the other's teasing. "Mr. Masters, I know that you said no more questions but I still have just one more..." She chewed on her bottom lip for a second, a nervous habit that she had picked up from Maria, while she finally decided to ask the question that kept coming to the front of her mind. "What... What are the things my father has, I mean that you are accusing my father for?" The question was hesitant but she really felt as if she wanted, no had to know. ✦

Jonathan looked at Vivian as she asked the question about her father. He stood silent for a few moments, almost as if he himself was afraid to tell her. After all, just because he kidnapped her doesn't mean he hates her, only her father. However he kinda figured that because of this she would hate him a lot, but did he care? Not really. All he was looking foreward too was making the King suffer, and he came to the conclusion of why not tell her anyway? It could lead to her actually believing him, not wanting to believe him, or just straight up not believing him. He then let out a sigh. "Your father on multiple accounts has been found to be very corrupt, both for power and wealth. Your father asks for outrageous taxes, that no one in the kingdom can pay for. Many people are suffering because of his greed, and he thinks he can do whatever he wants and gets away with it. I can't tell you how many people were killed just for trying to stand up to him." He said as he looked the princess dead in the eye, believing every word that came out of his mouth was an absolute fact. "Does that answer your question?"
