New Bark Town is located in southeastern Johto and is the hometown of the main character in the Generation II games and their remakes. It is home to the lab of Professor Elm, who possesses the starting Pokémon for Johto: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. Other than being connected to Route 29 in the west, it is also the town that must be passed through to reach Tohjo Falls, Victory Road, and Indigo Plateau, via Route 26 and Route 27.
-3 rp posts are required, then roll a 6-sided dice. This will determine the Pokemon that appears. In the next post, roll a 4-sided dice to determine level of the wild Pokemon.
Takumi left the lab after his traveling partner Jun. So, to assert his dominance and prove that he definitely was the alpha dog here, he moved off into a grassy patch on his own to let out his new pokemon. How about Jun followed him around sometime? After all, he was the one paying the swordsman.
The Cyndaquil yawned its mouth wide after being let out, blinking into the sun. "Your new name is Paimon," Takumi announced to it, taking a rare moment to place a hand atop its head.

A problem with having such light eyes (aside from being almost immediately memorable and recognizable) was that he was especially susceptible to light. Jun of course had no clue why, however, and just took it as a matter of course. Whether or not his superb night-time vision had anything to do with this was unknown.
"What next?" he asked Takumi as he walked up to the boy, noticing his obvious wandering off but not commenting on it. He stood with one hand on his katana while his eyes scanned the treeline. It was helpful that old habits died hard when those habits were necessary for your job.
With no obvious threats, Jun relaxed, slipping a hand into his pocket. His body suddenly tightened as his hand came into contact with something gooey and vaguely warm. "Takumi," he stated, voice ice-cold as he raised his hand, the fingertips coated in smudged chocolate. "You really should stop eating these things. You know they're bad for you." He then, slowly and very deliberately, licked the chocolate off his fingers one by one, staring Takumi dead in the eye as he did so. Christ this tastes terrible I think I may hurl. On the outside he seemed as unflappable as ever.
The Cyndaquil snorted, sending flames shooting out its back inches from Takumi's hand. "Gah! What was that for!?" The Cyndaquil eyed him angrily, snorting smoke from its nose. Takumi narrowed his eyes. He grew taller, darker, his uncovered eye shadowed by his hair. "You don't like the name I've given you?" The Cundaquil faltered, hesitant in the face of Takumi's suddenly cold voice. It reaffirmed itself with a shake of the head.
"Fine~" Takumi suddenly lightened, leaning back into a relaxed stance. Cyndaquil had only a moment to be confused before it was returned to its pokeball, likely to never be let out again.
He turned at Jun's voice. "Oh, I was thinking it'd be fun to rob a bank." Takumi noticed the stiffness in Jun's shoulders and the hand down in his pocket. A cruel smile crept across his face. It stayed glued there when, without a care in the world, Jun began to lick the chocolate off his fingers. "Hmm~? Are you enjoying it, Jun?" He reached forward, sliding his hand into Jun's pocket. He withdrew it, eyed the chocolate now smeared on his fingertips, and held it out to Jun. "Lick it off*," he commanded.

And god knows nannies aren't supposed to do that anyways." Jun wouldn't put it past Takumi to have made his caretakers do that in the past.
Jun regarded the distant trees. Between them, the long grass swayed in the breeze. The sky above was a startling blue. "It's peaceful here, though," he mumbled, smiling softly. It had been a long time since he'd been in a place like this and been able to feel it. Before, there had always been one pressing thing or the other, a hollowing need that sucked his soul down to search the shadows. It was odd, considering all manner of people were out in the world searching for them. I must be going insane from Takumi.
Lolololol that footnote though I almost wanted write: "he seized Takumi's hand, staring the boy in the eyes as he ran his tongue up the chocolate-smeared fingers" or something like that
"Ahh, Jun, so boooring." Takumi popped his fingers into his mouth, licking the chocolate up. He was fairly content with how thoroughly he'd thrown Jun off up until the moment he saw a really weird look on the guy's face. It was one he'd never seen before. "Oi, you gotta go to the bathroom or something?" he asked rudely.
"Hm?" Takumi rolled his eyes to the side at a flash of pale red. About thirty feet away a Spearow had fluttered down to peck at the ground. Perfect. He reached for Cyndaquil's pokeball, remembered he had decided he didn't like it, and instead sent out his Vulpix. "Nala, use ember a couple times, would you?" He waved his hand, his interest not held by such a weak pokemon. No matter how hard the Spearow pecked, it wasn't enough to save itself from its fate. "Weak."

He wandered the edges of the treeline, welcoming the shade with tired eyes. Watching with for signs the area had been disturbed he saw nothing wrong, but Jun honestly wasn't sure what that meant. Where was he safe? Where wasn't he? His memories up until leaving Takumi's home were crystal clear, but those after he couldn't trust. By his waist, his hand tightened into a fist. "Damn it.." Screw those Rockets, for messing with him like this. The only thing he knew for real was...well, Takumi. Maybe that was why he felt compelled to help the kid out.
Feeling calmer, Jun reached his hand into a small pouch hanging off his belt. The tips of his fingers brushed against a hardened sphere, cold to the touch. He knew if he took it out it would sparkle an icy blue in the light. My last mission... All he knew of the sphere was that it was very, very rare and powerful. When did he start doing priority missions like that? How many missions had he completed that he now didn't remember?
All of this thinking was, by default, pointless. One with no memories couldn't suddenly reclaim them by just thinking about it. Not to mention Jun had no intention of seeking Team Rocket out; what they might do if they captured him was terrifying. A sudden thought sent an icy shiver running down his spine. Is this even the first time I've run?
Damn it, he was doing it again. Jun spotted a Rattata scuffling about in the grass and decided to battle it to get his mind working again. He'd might as well give Tonks a shot. He released the small croc. "Tonks, think you can battle it?" The Totodile took a second to get that apparently it was the Tonks. Then she looked over at the Rattata. Her jaw parted, showing her sharp teeth that she wanted to dig into the small rodent, but she hopped from foot to foot, nervous to say so.
...and I actually managed to post before you replied in the plotting forum. Heh. On another note, I'm trying to finish my entry for the custom pokemon contest so that's also part of why I haven't been posting >.>

After the events in Little Root Town Yukie was forced onto a train headed for the Johto regions New Bark Town. It meant he would have to head to Goldenrod city simply to get back to the head quarters by taking yet another train from there. But first he'd need to send in a report of what was going and why he'd be late to check in with Ace. Slipping off the train unnoticed as the authority's now checked the train car by car after having been tipped off by those in Little root Yukie made his escape into the night life of New Bark. It would be a full hour before he finally made it to the pokemon center. The cops had long sense giving up the chase so it was easier to get in without raising supposition. No one had gotten a clear look at him besides the guy he had tried to mug and he assumed looking like such a petite women then had thrown him off. Taking a room in the center Yukie made another quicker gender role change bck into a guy in order to further thrown the cops off his trail.
Waiting until later mid night Yukie sneak into the centers main Pc compartment room. He needed a Land line base cable in order to wire into the triple layered firewalls on Team royals system. Once in the Laptops screen flashed bright to reveal the heavily blurred images of the team royal leader gazing down at the Pc with a slight look of shock as if he hadn't expacted this, and in fact he hadn't
"Grunt Yukie reporting in sir. Sorry for the informal manner of my report sir but iv been forced off my main objective. I was able to collect a Torchic and Mudkip as par with my mission but the Tteecko escaped me. The lab wa" "Enough, Iv no time for excuses Havick. Results are all i care for." "Ye.. yes sir." "Were are you?" "The Johto reg" "Why the hell are you in the johto? The mission was in Heonn. Are you trying to test my patience " "No sir. I was caught and fled. I got confused and jumped on the wrong train. Im headed for Goldenro.." "Shut up and listen boy. Your skills got you into this organization but they won't save you from me if i have to send someone else to do your job. Now get get your pasty white a** moving or else. "Yes Sir, understood" "And Yukie ..." "Yes sir" "If you ever hack this system again ill personally cut off left your arm. your a rightie correct?" "Ye.. Yes sir." "But first, sent me the pokemon. Now!" "But i need a pokea" "And you'll have one. Now do as your told."
With that the screen went black. Yukie new he didn't have much choice in his next move. He had to get a treecko other wise Ace was going to literally kill him. Booting up the Pc trancefure system Yukie sent both the Torchic and Mudkip to the main headquarters. He would get them back but not for a while. In exchange the machine returned a single pokeball containing a Litwick. A common starter for Team royal grunts or at least he thought as much. Returning to his room Yukie slept out the night in peace until the early morning when he was woken up by loading banging on the door. "open up we knew your in their. This is the police." Jumping from the bed and with a single well aimed kicked Yukie flipped a near by chair to help block the door. Thinking fast Yukie shoved the bed behind that. Dressing and gathering his things Yukie smashed the window and fled into the city headed for the route to Cherry Grove City.

Escaping into the woods Yukie found a momentary resting place far from the city and the chasing police. A small rock outcropping hidden in a open field which itself was hidden in the forest. Knowing he couldn't keep running like this time and again Yukie had to find a better way to get around. Perhaps a pokemon with teleport for a faster escapes ? An Abra or Natu for sure. But asking for boss for one was out of the question. He'd have to find one himself. Johto was known for Natu and Abra was common around Goldenrod so perhaos he could take the time to find one. Returning to the main trail Yukie needed to put as much space behind him as he could if he wanted to reach Cherry Grove before morning.

His sharp eyes caught something that looked a bit out of the ordinary. Brushing away freshly upturned dirt, he found a trove of berries along with a few man-made odds and ends. He lifted a shiny white egg from the pile, wondering how a lucky egg ended up in a stockpile like this.
"EGGGGGGG!!!!!" The enraged shout of six different eggs thundered from behind. Jun whipped around, sword arcing through the air. He tilted it at the last second, hitting it with the flat of the blade. It flew into a nearby tree with a sickening crack.
As the exeggcute regrouped, Jun calculated his options. They must be after the egg. No trainer, then. No trainer meant he could deal with them at a slower pace. He recognized these brightly colored eggs would be stronger than normal, however, and so called upon Reshi to fight. The skarmory screeched menacingly, but the eggs didn't back down. They threw themselves at Jun in a barrage but Reshi spread his great wings to protect his trainer. "Peck, Reshi." With each egg that threw itself at him, Reshi snapped his beak quick as a whip, knocking them out of the air with brutal force. The cracked eggs refused to give up, throwing themselves into an uproar. "It's fine Reshi, get back." The skarmory, depleted of energy, thudded to the ground before Jun recalled him.
Jun replaced the fallen Skarmory with Vin. "Vin, quick attack." The Riolu nodded, reading the angry egg's sloppy movements and darting in for the fatal blow.
Vin slicked egg and bits of shell from her fur as Jun retrieved the items from the small stash. "That wasn't a normal pokemon," he said aloud, wondering what it was doing out here. Vin stepped closer to help, scooping berries from the hole and handing them off to Jun. "Thanks Vin."
Since you said it was okay, I'm just gonna go ahead and post again for the easter fight. Hopefully you finish your paper soon D: When were you going home again? I can take the train back for to hang out :3
Jun was right about Takumi not following. He scrunched his face, but of course Jun didn't notice, he walked off so fast. "Weirdo."
Takumi knelt down to pet Nala, enjoying her warm fur now that Jun wasn't around to watch. Right by his feet he noticed a mushroom, half squished. He recognized a big mushroom when he saw one, so even though it was a bit gross he had Nala char and eat it so she could learn a good move.
He couldn't amuse himself with Nala forever, though. "Oii! Jun! You broken or something? What's taking so long?" he yelled into the woods. He knew Jun had probably made up needing to go to the bathroom as an excuse to search for possible threats, but he was getting rather bored. The grass rustled. "Good. I was wondering where-" A giant pink puffball exploded out at him, knocking him clear of his feet. "PPPpffflippity!" He spat cotton out of his mouth. "What was that!?" A Whimsicott floated on the air, giggling into its hands. "Big mistake. Nala, Ember!" Nala shook herself, ignoring the seeds the Whimsicott had leeched her with on its first pass, and brought it down with a spray of fire.

A few miles out from the city of Cherry grove Yukie was stopped by the sight of an off little pokemon that had been flouting in the wind only to get trapped in a tree. Its colors where a combonation of pink, blue and yellow. Pulling the Dexter he had snagged from the lab and scanning the thing he discovered it was a grass type. Easy prey for his fire type Litwick. If he was going to stand any chance wining battle which he was sure to be a heavy part of his job he would need to raise the pokemon to some degree. "Go Litwick and use Smog !" Before his pokemon could react the grass type has gotten free and was now pelting the candle pokemon with a mega drain. Sapping its health away. 40-1/2=20Dmg When the Litwick returned fire though it covered the field in a thick black smock that chocked his slightly but also burned at his throat. It had to have been much worse for the pokemon having now falling to the ground knocked out. 30x4=120Dmg "Your ugly but you'll make for a good first prize." Throwing the pokeball thinking it had nothing left to give the pokemon countered by smacking the ball aside proving it still had a little fight left. "Litwick Ember. Teach it to stay down." Blasting the pokemon with a peppery eruption of flames Yukie tossed a second pokeball only for the same results along with the pokemon fleeing into the sky and out of the Litwicks ember range. <******** you to then." His first attempt to catch a rare pokemon ended with failure. At least Ace wouldn't know he let such a rare pokemomn escape him. +20Exp

However it's Speed will not double on the turn that the weather changes Mega Drain-40 damage, Restores HP to the user equal to 1/2 of damage dealt. Gust-40, hits Pokemon in the air during semi invulnerable stage of an attack for double damage Leech Seed-Sprays seeds on the target that sap 1/10 of their HP every round and restores that amount of HP to the user. He turned, and a wild spritzee sprayed a face-full of perfume into his face. "Huk...kak..." Jun covered his mouth, coughing while his eyes watered until he could barely see. "V-Vin..."
Vin dashed out for a quick attack. The Spritzee countered with a spray of perfume into Vin's face. Vin slapped the Spritzee around again, adrenaline pumping as she danced near enough to be hit by a super-effective attack. Luckily the Spritzee chose to use wish to heal up, and Vin was able to dart in before it attacked. With Reshi out cold, that was a close call.
Vin hurried to Jun's side. He'd managed to cough out the worst of the perfume and had wiped away the tears. "Come on, Vin. I'm worried about Takumi," he said, voice raw.
Jun left the trees to find Takumi as he'd left him, albeit looking a bit dazed on the ground. "Something the-" he coughed, "Something the matter?"
Takumi quickly stood, brushing himself off. "I'm fine. Some weird pokemon attacked though..." He trailed off, a curious look on his face. He leaned forward and sniffed once, sharply. "Are you wearing...perfume?"

Jun frowned to himself, then realized Takumi had leaned forward and heard his noise sniffing. "No," he said, perhaps a bit too crossly. Then he noticed something and smirked internally, realizing he could change the subject quite effectively. He reached out, plucking a bit of pink fluff from Takumi's hair. "What's this?" he asked, eyes dancing with amusement.
