Once again the sun made an appearance over the eastern horizon. Its golden light shifted upward from over the cradle of the hills resting the horizon.Long shadows were cast against the ground creating depth to the land around them. The dry grass, hinting that they were drawing further and further away from the volcano, appeared a dull gold against the bright morning. The dry blades rubbed against each other creating a melodious chorus to the entire land, as if it was all welcoming the day. The more it rose up over the edge of the world the brighter the world became. Colors swirled about over the sky and the land like an artist's color palate just before the start of a great work. The sky itself appeared like a great blanket made of fire. Maximus watched the sun and recalled the first time he had awoken in that ore filled creator those long months ago. The sun was slow in its journey, but that was more a boon than a distraught sign. The longer the sun was in the sky the more light it had to give to the world. It seemed to delight in making the journey with the subjects below. That light it gave was a warm blessing that was appreciated each day it came. It had proven faithful every morning since Maximus had awoken months ago. Each day it rose it seemed to have a new event to bring with it. No two days were alike. The more Maximus had been awake, the more he had realized that nothing was ever repeated. Some days the sun would have puffy obstacles that at times blocked its light to the world, but this did not hinder its path. Each time it would emerge in the same place it had before. Some days it had a clear path and some days it brought with it strange weather phenomenons. Today it brought with it a warm wind, normal for the fiery mountain landscape. At the base of the mountain received a good amount of wind particularly in the morning.
Maximus drew in a deep breath as he watched the sun crawl leisurely over the distant hills. Just past some dark clouds forming in the distance. Perhaps the sun would have its trouble after all? Even so, With his master Max had learned that sometimes the sky changed depending on what the earth was doing. It was mostly unpredictable. The sky abovehead was clear and likely would remain so unless the winds shifted enough to bring those dark clouds near. It was impossible to judge the sky's will sometimes. The winds were always so unpredictable. They were sometimes like a lasso to the events in the sky. Sometimes the winds would be fierce and the sun would be hidden behind the dark clouds. Sometimes the sun would remain out and the winds would play along nicely along side the bright orb in the sky. It had been a long time since Max had stopped trying to understand what was going on with the heavens above. It was not worth the headache. There were far more important things to think and ponder on. Like ore, smiting, the day's tasks. His master had always encourage his thinking to remain on the task at hand.
The dry golden blades of grass crunched under Max's shifting paws as he advanced forward. His claws lightly dug at the dirt at an odd colored patch of dirt while he shifted thought to the day's tasks. There was no business to tend to today. It had been a while since he had seen that odd earth b'alam clad in armor or that dark b'alam looking for trinkets. The day was his... but what to do?
He had been looking for ore all the day before. It was both a task and a hobby, but today he had found there was none in this area. He was supposed to be relaxing, taking a day off of duty, but it was so uneventful.

![User Image](https://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag228/Silvernau/th_Sahar_zps8jttxdgw.png) Sahar had spent the night alone, cold, and in a tiny shelter of a cave she had called home for the past few nights. The little cub shivered as she stretched and move outside the little crevice of a cavern, stepping into the sunlight. Her red eyes scanned the area for anything that would cause her concern. Hmm. Nothing. It drew a smile to her features that nothing spoke to her as an immediate threat, and Sahar shifted fully out of her little den. She loved the sunlight, if only because it was warm.
When a gust of also warm wind brushed by her fur Sahar giggled in amusement. The world was big, and somewhat scary from what she knew of it so far, but that also had to do with the fact she hadn't met anyone yet. As far as she knew she was all alone in the world. She was okay with that, because new things seemed scary. Tall things were freaky. In fact, anything bigger then her seemed to be something she should have feared!
Sahar was content knowing she was alone in the world, but little did she know that was something soon about to change with her small, short lived existence. Something big was coming, and she wouldn't be alone anymore. Of course, for the time being, that wasn't the case...

![User Image](https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/Ambrel/Balam/YoyuCub.png) ![User Image](https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/Ambrel/Balam/SeikaCub.png)
Yoyu was the first to spot the cub. She was sitting high up on a rock, watching the sun come up. She always enjoyed watching the sky do from black to red, and then to blue. It reminded her of her family, of her brother. Not that she really needed reminding. Still, she was the first to spot her.
Seika was the first to spot the adult male, who was watching the sunrise like his sister. He twitched his tail a bit, flexes his claws against the stone. He hadn't seen anyone recently, no one to play with. His eyes focused on the male, trying to figure out what he wanted to do. "Yoyu."
She turned and look at her brother, stretching so she could see what Seika was looking at. She saw the adult and stood slowly, pacing so she was laying down next to him rather than behind him. He never really enjoyed watching the sunrise. He preferred watching the sunset, but that was okay. He understood her, and she understood him, so it was okay. "There is one behind us too. A cub. Easier."
Seika glanced over his shoulder and looked at the young girl. Then back at the adult, then back at the cub. He smiled abruptly and nuzzled against his sister. "Both."
Yoyu giggled and nodded. "Okay, what then? What can we do that will get both of them?" She considered the male. He wasn't doing much, really, but he seemed to be a steady sort, not easily shaken. She turned around and watched the cub. She seemed a bit timid. Yoyu grinned a little. "What do you think about Misleading?"
"Hmm?" Seika looked back and forth between them, seeing the same things that his sister, before he nodded in agreement. "You take the cub, then, I'll take the adult." He jumped down off the rocks, careful and sure. He wasn't worried at all, approaching the adult. One of his other sisters had been sure that they could all take care of themselves. And Yoyu was only a shout away, no matter what game they were playing. And they two of them could take on anything. So, he approached the adult with a charming smile. "Hi there. Do you think you could help me?"
Yoyu watched her brother for a moment before pouncing down on the other side of the rocks, dropping out of sight and slinking along the rocks before she was above the little girl. Yoyu jumped down next to her without a sound. "Hi there."

Yoyu grinned a little, trying hard not to give herself away, though, because with as skittish as this stranger seemed to be, the prank was going to be so much more fun. With an exaggerated look behind her at the rock outcropping that she and her brother had been sitting on, she schooled her features into something resembling worry. They couldn't see her brother, or the adult that he was with, from where they stood. Which was all part of the prank, of course.
"I didn't mean to scare you!" She started in a stage whisper, looking around hurriedly, falling into her role as she pretended to be afraid of whatever she was going to say next. "And there isn't time for that!" Yoyu shook her head quickly, though she decided that she was going to remember the name. Sahar. Of course, the other cub probably wouldn't speak with them again, once this was all over. "It's just that there is something I need to tell you!"
Yoyu stepped closer, dropping her voice even lower. "There is someone out here who is really not nice!" She started, looking around like she expected someone to jump out at them from behind a rock. "He's big and has horns like us, but he eats cubs!" Barely keeping herself from laughing, she glanced around again. "We shouldn't be out here on our own!" Yoyu took a few steps forward, placing the pair of them right at the edge of the rocky outcropping so that when it happened, it would be perfect.
Seika twitched a little at the title, because it didn't really matter how little he was, only that he got to have his fun as all. So, he plastered an alarmed expression on his face and jerked his head back toward the rock he'd come off of. "There was an accident!" He started, pacing back and forth, tail twitch with false alarm. "There's a cub back there whose trapped under some rocks and I can't get her out!"
He took a darting step forward, then back again. "Come on, mister, you have to come help! She could be really hurt!" Or would be, whatever. He turned just in time to hide the wicked little smile that played over his face, hiding it again before spinning in a circle back to him. "You will help, won't you? Please?"
Seika didn't wait for an answer, instead turning in another circle and bolting off toward the rock, expecting him to follow. He didn't run as fast as he could have, hoping that the adult would outstrip him and get around the rock first, so he could scare the daylights out of the cub. That was the plan, anyway, provided Yoyu did her part right, which she always did, of course. Now it was just up to the other two players in this little game. He smiled again, sharp teeth bared in the sun.

Something she needed to tell her? Sahar bent near and listened as Yoyu told her with feigned innocents that there was someone scary out there. "Someone who- who eats cubs?!" She could hardly believe it! Sahar was indeed scared of many things, but she hadn't considered the possibility that someone out there actually ate cubs.
She shivered out of fear. It, that wasn't true right? There couldn't be someone out there who ate cubs and was coming near them. But... If there wasn't then Sahar had to come up with a reason for a fellow cub to lie to her. Because that was the alternative, that she was being lied to, and Sahar didn't like to think that she was being lied to.
It was like all of a sudden her bright and cheery day had turned disastrous. One minute she was asking a cub her name- to which Sahar had seemingly forgotten she still hadn't gotten a reply on that, and now she was worried about getting eaten!
Then, it was the moment the siblings had been waiting for. The moment Sahar spotted Maximus as he turned around the rocky outcropping and shrieked.
Really, she hadn't meant to shriek like she had, but it was a big scary adult just like the cub had told her! Maybe it was the fact that his eyes seemed to be covered, or the fact that he was just plain big, but Sahar turned around as quickly as she could and bolted back to the entrance of her little makeshift den. She needed to hide! She needed to hide now!
