Day 1
After that odd class, Hollandaise had found Deszeld's dorm room lock easy to pick. The ghoul wasn't there (as expected). "Don't touch my things," the dragon has told her. Hollandaise did not like no's and don't's and mine's. In fact, she could easily say that edicts and rules were meant to be broken. She tapped her lip in thought, eyes glowing, soaking up the plants' loving emotions. After much deliberation, she moved.
And carefully set a potted plant in the center of Deszeld's bed.

Day 1
Someone had been in her room.
Not only had someone been in Deszeld's room, they'd also touched her things. It hadn't taken her long to put the potted plant back where it belonged, but that wasn't the issue here. The issue was simple.
Someone had touched her things.
Letting out a low hiss, Deszeld settled on her bed where the plant had been. Her tongue flickered out to taste the air; it was something almost familiar, but just a little off. A little too weak.

Day 3
It was irritating to Deszeld that the lock to her door wasn't working the way it was supposed to. She locked it when she left, and it was locked when she got home, but in between those two times it was unlocked.
She was a dragon of the forested swamplands. She knew how to be patient. Rather, she should know how to be patient.
But patience was not a virtue that Deszeld was fond of.
On the morning of the third day, Deszeld lasted three hours. Three hours of motionless waiting. Three hours.

Day 2
Hollandaise wondered if Deszeld had noticed... of course she had. She was so tempted to leave some sort of calling card in the ghoul's room. But the fun lay in Deszeld not knowing who it was. Ever. This time, she waited and watched as Des left for some class or other. With a small, breathy giggle, she eased her way into the room once more.
This time, Hollandaise took her time and moved every plant she could to the left by about five inches.

Day 2
Deszeld was sure that she might be going crazy. Everything in the room was off just enough that it made her feel like she was going mad.
It took her an hour -- an hour -- to put everything back just so.
Once she was finished, she opened her door and peered down the hallway. Both ways.
Nothing.

Day 3
She saw Deszeld in the hallway and almost dissolved into a fit of laughter. Not a very becoming look for a warder. So she containted her laughter into an odd sort of hiccup and greeted the dragon, and if her smile was a little secretive - well, to most creeple, it looked normal.
Today, though, she did not touch anything in Deszeld's room. She did, however, unlock the door.
Day 4
Hollandaise lingered in the room, laying on Des' bed, thumbing through a notebook tossed lazily into a corner. She wondered how long she would keep this up. Probably... a really long time, she thought, kicking her foot idly. She hoisted herself off the bed, straightening the cover. It was such a nicer bed than her own. This time, Hollandaise set one plant just outside of Deszeld's room. She rolled another small one underneath her massive bed.
"don't worry," she whispered. "She will find you soon."

Day 4
Des was beginning to feel frazzled. Yesterday the door had only been unlocked, but nothing had been moved. Today, there was a plant outside of her door, and it had taken her half the night to find the one that had somehow gotten beneath her bed. Half. The. Night.
She did not sleep a wink.
Day 5
Deszeld gathered all of her things into a pile in the middle of the room and formed a circle around them with the various plants.
Fine. She'd move her own things and wait to see what happened.

Day 5
Hollandaise had stopped, bewildered, to stare at the circle of plants. Bending down, she stroked one leaf. ...why? Her mouth quirked up. "Reverse warfare..." She was almost certain that was a thing, and if it wasn't it should be, because it sounded quite official. So official, in fact, that she kept murmuring it herself as she proceeded to place Deszeld's things in a circle around the plants.
"Now it is a reverse harem." That was what that phrase meant, right?
Day 6
She did nothing. Hollandaise did not even go down the hallway where Deszeld's room was. The temptation was too great.
Day 7
Instead of moving things, Hollandaise left a small cactus outside of Deszeld's room.

Day 7
Deszeld was not sure how she felt about the cactus.
Day 8
She had the locks on her door changed.
Day 9
Deszeld woke that morning feeling completely rested as she left her room. The green was utterly confident that nothing would be touched.

Day 9
The new lock was sturdier, sadly. Hollandaise broke three lock picks in it. But Deszeld was that important. Three. She left them on the ghoul's desk.
Deszeld's bed looked rumpled, as if she had spent a restless night. Hollandaise frowned and placed her favorite plant - a small flowering thing covered in orange blossoms - right on the bottom corner of the bed. This time, she even relocked the door as she left.

Day 9
It struck Deszeld, suddenly, who had been breaking into her room.
Day 10
She left her room via the door.
She flew around the monster dorm.
She waited outside the window like some kind of creep.

Day 10
Hollandaise made a pleased noise as the lock popped open, gliding into the room gracefully. Her eyes lit immediately on the bed. She whispered encouragement to the smallest shrub and placed it on the desk. She looked around, deciding what else to do, but...
The bed looked so comfortable. In a rare fit of whimsy, she ran and flopped down onto it with a thud.

Day 10
Just. As. She'd. Suspected.
Day 11
Deszeld once more left her room through the front door.
She flew around the monster dorm.
And peered through the window like some kind of creep.
She'd made sure to unlock the window before leaving the room.

Day 11
It would be more fun if Hollandaise had a way of seeing Deszeld's reactions to her... impromptu plant rearrangements. Imagining them was enough, for now. She was getting at picking locks, she noticed, breaking only one this time. Hollandaise hummed sweetly as she entered the room. Carefully, she begin to arrange the pants in a half-circle.... a sort of audience to the bed set-up.
Maybe after this, she wouldn't do anything for an entire week. Just to build the suspense. Maybe.

THE RECKONING
Deszeld slammed the window open and got about halfway through before it became very obvious that she would not fit in without at least a little assistance.
"Hollandaise!! I AM GOING TO BE VERY UPSET WITH YOU AS SOON AS -- uugnn -- I AM GOING TO BE VERY UPSET WITH YOU."
