With a smoothie in hand, Talon kicked his legs lazily as he hung off of the dock wrapped around the building. He watched the reflection of his legs in the water, the way they kicked back and forth like a child as he took a long sip from the straw. The cold of the smoothie went straight to his brain, making the dark haired Griffin winch as his brain gave him a warning throb of the brain freeze that could happen if he kept it up. Even so, the warning never kept him from stopping, he would only take another long sip from his drink a few minutes later. Especially as the sun beaming down was sure to make the ice of the drink melt much faster. He wanted to enjoy it before it became warm and just like a cup of juice.
His cellphone sat next to him on the dock, which probably wasn't a good idea. Any wrong move would send it splooshing into the water below. Meaning he would have to go buy another one and then tell Lyra why it was he had to get a brand new phone. But, he was waiting for a text back from his only friend he'd made so far in Soleil. The two of them had made quick friends, but it was probably due to how more talkative Talon probably was in comparison to Robin. But, not that it was a problem for him, just as long as the neko was enjoying his company and wasn't being chased away by how often it was Talon could talk exactly.
Just to be on the safe side, the Griffin set his drink down on one side of him, while his other hand picked up his phone to double check that he had indeed sent a text message. There were.. a few of them actually. 'Hey, are you up?' 'Whatcha doin?' 'We should grab a smoothie' 'If you don't show up within 30 minutes, I'm asking them to throw a mix of different fruits inside'. Followed by at least three emoji's. Yeah, Talon may have been pestering Robin just a bit more then he probably should have been, but it was hot out and Talon didn't want to be wasting time out here waiting for someone who may or may not show up.
Setting his phone back down, Talon scooted himself just a little closer to the edge. Dangerously close, that one wrong move would have sent him into the water just as quickly as his phone could fall in. This time, his toes could just graze the cool water below. Shivering, the man wondered if Robin would want to head to the beach again. They didn't have to surf or anything, just enjoy the cold waters. Talon was even properly dressed this time! His bright blue eyes glanced down towards the matching blue swim trunks he wore. Grinning, he figured, why wait for Robin? With another long and painful sip from his smoothie, Talon gave a loud 'woohoo!' before he pushed himself off of the edge and into the water.

Robin was walking along the path leading to the beach. After he woke up he had taken a shower before checking his phone for updates or messages. His ears moved to the side a bit in surprise to see a few from his friend Talon. No messages from Ryan, but then they hadn't spoken for a while so perhaps they had just been one of those fleeting friends he heard about back home before coming to Soleil. Talon on the other hand he seemed to have befriended quick and they were going strong. Meeting up when able, keeping regular contact and sharing a few of their interests like surfing and the beach.
Sometimes the other could be a little to active than Robin was used to, but he never minded once, which was a change in itself. Before moving here he would likely have gotten irritable but the carefree feel of Soleil had mellowed him a bit on that account. Just as he was reading the earlier messages the next three already came in. Robin blinked as he saw them arrive as they were sent and he tilted his head a bit before chuckling a bit to himself. Man they were awake at this ungodly hour. The feline was about to send a message back when he changed his mind and put the phone and his wallet in his back pockets of his denim shorts.
They reached perhaps just over his thighs and they showed rips and tear from use. It was the only one he actually liked besides his more Archaic outfits and it showed. The legs had even been so torn they were beyond repair so he had turned it into shorts. On top of them he was wearing a semi-loose white shirt which fell ever so slightly over the denim shorts on one side. Robin sighed a bit, but smiled nonetheless. It would seem his plans to stay home were just canceled. Not that he really minded, he always has fun with Talon when they hang out.
Rather than replying to them, he left his house, locked the door and walked to the beach. The last message about all the different fruits was from 10 minutes ago. The feline had plenty of time to make his way to the Smoothie Palace before his friend's deadline. That said, perhaps so many different fruits would actually taste well. With that thought in mind he walked in the warm sun and took in the rays as he went passed the docks. By now even being slightly distracted wasn't enough to fall off a dock this time. He got used to it now.
In about 10 more minutes he had made his way to the Smoothie Palace and looked around to see if he saw Talon. He was absolutely certain they would be here with how they had messaged him. It was then that his ears perked as he heard his friend's voice and he looked at the source to see his friend disappear into the water. The feline chuckled and walked to the edge, though he kept some distance, knowing the trickster Talon could be and he had his wallet and mobile phone after all. He couldn't let them get wet.
Robin would wait until Talon surfaced before speaking, as otherwise it was no use anyways. "Why hello busy bee. How come you are this awake already? This weather is enough to put me to sleep at any given time." he teased slightly, of course about the messages they sent. It was funny to realize how Talon had grown on him. Robin guessed this was what it meant to have an actual friend. One that he wouldn't need to leave behind because his father would move again for his work. It gave him a safe feeling, that he didn't need to hold back this time.

As soon as he had surfaced from his sudden dive into the water, he heard a familiar voice speaking from above him. Reaching up to wipe wet hair away from his face and then to blink a few times to shake away sea water, Talon grinned as he gazed up at his recently made friend. "About time you got here." He said with a cheeky grin. It was rather tempting to send a large splash of water towards the neko, but there was still the risk of his own cellphone that sat probably just a step or two away from Robin. So, instead, Talon settled for laying back against the water, letting himself lazily drift where he was near the deck. "It's hot, why don't you join me?" He offered, giving the top of the water a gentle pat which sent a few splashes.
He didn't have to glance at his phone to figure Robin had just barely beat the deadline that Talon had set for him, but by the appearance of him, he didn't seem to have been in any rush to get there. Guess he wouldn't have minded the mix of fruits.
When his friend mentioned the weather putting him to sleep, Talon found himself shrugging, the water moving around him at the action. As much as he enjoyed his naps, he didn't think he could do it in this heat. Nope, not unless he wanted to risk getting into some legal troubles for public indecency. Probably wasn't a good idea when you were still technically the new guy in town, and you didn't need your reputation to become 'the new guy who slept naked on the beach'.
"Huh.. I'll probably take a nap when I get home." He gave another shrug before finally moving closer to the dock. Hands grabbing onto the edge, he struggled just a little to pull himself up and out of the water. Bright blues were focused on his phone, making sure that none of the water dripping off of him ended up dripping too close to the electronic. Maybe he should have asked Robin to move it before he had decided to pull himself up and out of the water. Too late now, as he already had his torso over and one of his legs were swinging up to get him further up and onto the deck. "Don't wanna head home too soon, might run into scary sister."
Finally fully out of the water, the Griffin reached over to where he had left his smoothie. Which, had melted just a bit more while he had taken his short dip. Frowning, he gazed into the cup before taking a sip. Maybe he'd get another drink before he left too. Sucking up the liquid, his gaze slowly drifted back to look up at the other male. At the mention of his own sister, Talon found himself beginning to wonder if the neko had any siblings of his own. They hadn't really ever talked about families, though, Talon probably complained about Lyra enough for Robin to get some slight indication of what kind of person she was.

His friend sure seemed to have fun out in the water. Not that it was very surprising, they shared their love of swimming as well after all. The feline chuckled as he watched them float in the water. "Looks like you sure found your perfect spot in this weather. It really is blazing." he commented. It was good to see his friend again. But then they gave a new dimension to fun together often. "It looks amazing, but we might get a smoothie first." Robin offered. It was hot enough to melt but the nekojin was pretty good with handling it. That said all this talk about smoothies made him want one.
"why not just find a nice shadowy place to take a nap? If there are any left right now." he said and laughed a little. When his friend struggled a bit to get on land, Robin had set one foot towards them to lend them a hand (carefully) but they already managed and the feline smiled. He glanced at the phone they looked at near the edge and he blinked a bit. That must have been the least safe spot to place the device! Robin walked towards it and picked it up, just in case Talon didn't think of bringing a towel.
"Scary sister? The way you mention her I keep wondering if I'd even survive a meeting with her." Robin said his ears twitching and he tilted his head. He had yet to meet this girl but his friend was definitely not making him eager to do so! As much as he was good with his bow and arrows, the demon wasn't a trained fighter. She sounded scary to Robin too by now. Still this was not the time to be thinking about that! The feline walked a few steps to the side and placed Talon's phone on a nearby empty table and took off his own shirt.
If they planned to go swimming here he didn't want to do so fully dressed. Of course his denim was not a suitable outfit either so the feline looked around to see if there was any place where he could change. "I'll be right back." he said spotting a changing room and went there to change his denim shorts into his swim shorts. He didn't take long to come back and he threw his bag now holding his towel and denim shorts on top of his shirt next to one of the chairs near the empty table, his phone on the table next to Talon's and smiled to his friend. It was time for fun!
"Shall I get us another smoothie before we dive in the water? Or back in the water in your case. Perhaps we can move to the actual beach later." the feline offered. He wouldn't mind paying for them both. As his friend Robin was happy enough to be spend some money on them as well. Didn't friends share like that more often? The young man looked forward to spending the day together and swimming in the water. Be it at the Smoothie Palace or moving to the beach.

When Robin suggested finding a nice shadowed spot to take a nap, Talon actually let the idea roll around in his head for a couple of minutes. It wasn't a bad idea, but, he better find a good spot where the sun wouldn't be blazing directly onto him once the day continued to move from day to evening. He heard Robin pick up his phone, grinning when he watched his friend move the device over to a place where it wouldn't risk becoming wet. "You're the best!" He told him giving the feline a wink.
Hoisting himself up to stand, Talon felt more of the sea water drip off of him as gravity caught up with the liquid, leaving a large damp spot underneath the male. His bare toes wiggled, a small laugh escaping the Griffin when his friend told him that he wondered if he'd survive meeting Lyra. Maybe Talon was over exaggerating how much of a menace his sister could be. Besides, as far as he was aware, the female had yet to really make a friend there in Soleil.
"You should meet her."
The suggestion probably sounded strange coming from him, since he had just kind of been complaining about her. But, maybe if Lyra made a friend, she would cool down her temper just a little. Besides, then Talon could have Robin come over to the place they shared and she would loosen up with having a friend and everything would be sunshine and rainbows! "Just don't grow a crush on her, I don't want to be one of those guys who loses his best friend to his sister because his best friend and sister are now dating." That was probably a bit of a mouthful to say.
When Robin told him that he'd be back, Talon nodded his head while he walked over to plop himself down into a seat set up next to the table. He watched the other male leave, before leaning his head back and closing his eyes. Already he could feel the water on his body beginning to dry now that he was no longer submerged under the water, and now out in the rays of the hot hot sun. Eyes remaining closed, he heard Robin's return but didn't look at him just yet.
Grinning when Robin offered to go get them smoothies, Talon finally let his head drop back to look at the other. "Man, you really are the best friend a guy could have." He chuckled before nodding his head, making sure his hands were dry before he was reaching over to grab his phone. "Want me to send you over a couple bucks? I don't have my wallet with me, but Paypal is amazing and easily accessible." He didn't want to instantly assume that Robin was going to pay for the both of them, and he had enough money to pay for another smoothie. Luckily, technology was amazing and always adapting to those who seemed to have their phones on them more then their own wallets.

Robin had smiled when Talon called him the best, but to him it was just common sense. "Don't mention it. Water can't be good for a phone, let alone salt water." he had replied. He went to get dressed in his swim shorts and as he came back and offered for smoothies, he waited for Talon's answer. "Which flavor would you want?" he asked. But when he offered to book some money over to him, Robin shook his head. "Nah, it's on me." he said and grinned. Once he had his answer he would make for the row in front of of the smoothies turning around just before entering the building.
"Oh and I wouldn't worry about me falling for your sister. I'm not into females." he said ans chuckled before going for their drinks. It seemed funny to the feline that Talon would worry about him falling in love. If not for the fact that she sounded like she'd kill him on sight, he would definitely be put off by the mere fact she was a girl. Though he considered those some of the best friends one could make, he didn't like them in a romantic sense of the word. Talon might not have known till now though, so maybe the young man could rest assured now.
Once inside and given his turn, Robin asked for two large smoothies, one for Talon to his friend's preferred taste and one for himself which he asked for a mix of mango, passion fruit and pineapple. After that he waited as they were made and then walked back to their table with their two drinks. "Here you go, perfect for a hot day as this." the feline said as he approached and his ears moved cheerfully as the thought of the cold drink of fruits in this warm temperature. It sounded like pure bliss. Robin placed Talon's smoothie in front of them and his own next to it where he sat and allowed himself to fall back into the chair.
"Now this is what I imagined of living in a tropical environment." the feline said and sighed in contentment. It sure beat staying inside the house and studying those dusty old books his father was intend on his son to study. It was hard enough to focus on schoolwork, let alone a study for something he felt no affinity for whatsoever. "Is there anything you really really want to do around here at least once?" he asked curiously of his friend as he picked up his own smoothie and drank some of it. It truly was all he had hoped for. Refreshing, cooling and delicious.
When he stepped up onto the deck, he had to take a double take at the screen to his phone. Blue eyes rereading the address, Francis had to make sure that this was the exact place. Maybe if he'd explored the city more, he would have been sure. But, he hadn't expected to find a shack right there on the water where the smoothie place was located. His arm dropping to his side, he carefully shoved his phone back into the pocket of his cargo shorts as he made his way inside.
It was hot outside, but, the inside of the building felt a lot cooler. Sighing, he let his eyes wander to get a better idea of the place. It seemed pretty chill right now, but then, most people were probably gathering at the Farmer's Market right now. He had been tempted to go over and check it out, but then he'd gotten a notification that the blind dating site he had signed up to got him an actual date.
Stryker was... an odd name, but the man wasn't going to use that as judgement for the person he was going to be meeting with. As long as they were nice, then he didn't see why they wouldn't get along. Smiling to himself, Francis slowly approached the counter so that he could order a smoothie. He debated for a couple of minutes on if he should buy one for his date, but, he wasn't even sure what flavor they liked. What if they didn't even like smoothies?!
'Remain calm, don't lose your cool..' He thought to himself, helping him to relax before he began to overthink of how this meeting would go.
╰☆╮ Nervously approaching the destination for her date, Stryker chewed her bottom lip as her bright yellow eyes scanned the building quickly. She had just about choked that morning when she had gotten the notification that she had a blind date set up. Granted she figured it would happen sooner or later, she just really hadn't expected it so soon. Taking a calming breath, she looked to her phone, which only had one contact in it, and that was her newest, and currently only, friend she had made the other day, Alex. It was funny to her that they had just had a laugh about the whole dating thing too, and here she was, now on a date. Shaking her head and putting her phone in her bag, Stryker smoothed out her bright white hair, her ears perking and twisting to listen to the sounds around her, then looked down at her own clothes. A skirt that went to the middle of her thighs and a casual tank top that had a deep enough V to it that it wasn't overly revealing, but did show her off a little. Her hair was in a long braid that swayed around her hips. "Okay Stryker. You've carried out missions and escaped your handlers, all of which were far more dangerous than a date. You can do this!" Giving a final nodd, she walked into the building and looked around for her date. It was quiet enough in the building, she figured people were at the market. The farmer's market seemed interesting, she'd have to visit it at some point. Seeing a very blonde man, she approached him and tapped his shoulder gently, "Excuse me, but are you Francis?" She gave a closed lip smile and tilted her head to the side a bit. Her ears were flat back against her head, trying to keep her weird appearance down to a minimum, besides all the scars.╰☆╮
♞ As the big man steps inside the building he felt that rush of cold air his him like a wave. It felt like ages since he had been in here, yet the place still felt like home to him. Wearing his spiffy Manager Outfit which looked both good and funny on him given his size. Nonetheless, the man looked great as he gave off an aura of carefree. Many people greeted him with old faces and new faces alike. They even talked about one of these employees with high esteem. That put a smile on his face as he knew exactly who they spoke of. Cesela that young lass was due for a raise that is for sure.
♞ As things began to whine down and he was all finish with the pleasantries he got to work. Booting up the old work laptop and catching up on a few things. Organization was key for a business like this, and Billy was all too happy to get it done. It took him about an hour to finish up everything, but his job was far from done. Taking a little break he looked all around his office taking in old memories. Pictures of him and his former boss still clung to the walls along with many other treasures. It felt like it was a long time ago when he was just another worker. Enough nostalgia though he picked his phone, and texted Cesela telling her, she would be receiving a raise for all her hard work.
♞ A dollar and twenty-cent raise to be exact, and along with that, he told her to keep up the good work! Getting up from his desk Billy turns the radio music to something more lively. Leaving his office with a laid back smile on his face, he got to work by making smoothies. By the look on his face and the style of his smoothie making one could tell, he enjoyed his work! Whoever eats these apples will have their energy restored by 30%, and any wounds that are not fatal can be healed. He can only use three apples at a time and must recharge to able to use them again(About eight posts). The major drawback is that he himself cannot eat these apples. As if these gifts were meant for others and not himself.
