So, what do the folks here think about Star Trek? And I mean both the new Abrams creation and all regarding the older series.

I'm more of a fan of the series. Lots of TNG love here! heart

Kirk looked good in ripped shirts;

Picard looked good without a shirt;

Janeway would look... ..no, they can't do that on network television.

I do like Janeway, but every captain had their own unique style.

It's true, every captain had their own style and mannerisms.

I have to say Picard is my favourite though, simply because he's the one I admire the most. His diplomacy and attempts to solve problems with no violence and the moral choice really made an impact on me. (This is not to say he always succeeded, but I felt that these were his primary first moves).

And I like the newest ST series Picard starring Sir Patrick Stewart as an older Picard -- this season's first episode guest starred Whoopi Goldberg's Guinan and John De Lancie's Q. Excellent television!

When they paired Janeway with Q (he forced himself on her) she wore a corset -- and THAT is all the skin that this series would allow. xD

There is a new old Star Trek program worth checking out -- Star Trek: Strange New Worlds which tells stories about the Captain of the Enterprise before Kirk -- Captain Pike -- in the old episodic style akin to the original Star Trek. I love it! heart
