Trolling the Haunted House hallways, again, Hel spun the eye patch she had been given by Finn on a finger. It'd been really quiet in here recently. No one was really around, and she was utterly curious if she'd run into any hunters. It was something she was starting to find really fun. Learning about new...things...beings. It was fun, and if not gave her more insight into the beings who were the 'enemy' for so long.
Since her last few encounters had not been super hostile, the reaper roamed through the halls with ease. She moved door to door, but she stilled as she came across dark polished wooden double doors. Ooh. Very fancy. Even when ornate handles! The reaper opened the door and stepped into the room. Where she was then immediately floored.
The door quietly shut behind her as she stared at all the things surrounded her. Whips, chains, straps, belts, handcuffs...a swing in one corner, a bed with a cage, masks and the like all over the walls as well. Oh. Hel let out a low whistled, and moved around the edge of the room. This was something out of a porno. Jeepers. What a troll house. She stopped near the swing, and reached out, giving it a push to watch it sway.
Hrm. Maybe she shouldn't have touched that...who knew...

His favourite duty ever: Haunted House Patrol.
Every time he had gone to this place, without exception, he had returned within an inch of his life, bleeding all over everything he owned and everyone he knew, because he couldn't figure out how to properly use an overly large sword. Or just a sword in general. He was pretty bad at fighting.
But they still insisted on making him do on patrol, which he saw as a waste of resources more than anything. He didn't even want to know how many bandages he had gone through since he arrived here.
At least he got to see some pretty outlandish things, he thought as he stared impassively down at a rack of what was either torture devices, or a display of some bondage freak's toys, he couldn't decide which. He had been alone in the room at first, but before he turned to leave he heard the whistle, followed up the jingle and creak of the swing moving.
Wilhelm was summoned instantly, but held low - he wanted to protect himself, not provoke.
"Who's there?"

Hel gave a start, bumping into the swing and cursing lowly as she heard a voice. s**t. She thought she was alone in the room. The idea she could have been attacked at any time because she wasn't paying attention bothered her.
The hand that had been swinging the eye patch stilled and held onto it more firmly as she started to quickly skirt around the edge of the room again. Now that she was looking she was catching glimpses the stark white Hunter coat with trim through the gaps in all...stuff...in the room. A smirk pulled at her lips. Company! Good thing this hunter didn't get the drop on her! In her free hand her spear formed, and she angled the weapon so that the blade was facing towards her target.
It was then she dashed out into a clear patch of the room towards the hunter. She stopped her spear's length away from him, but unlike Ripley her weapon was not pointed down. It was up, at his face, as she took a moment to look him over, grinning. She eyed his coat, and noted that, while different in design and color, it did appear to follow the same kind of pattern as Finn's. This meant he wasn't at her level, and if engaged she'd have little to no trouble taking him out.
Him...or her...? Hrm...
Hel lowered her weapon once she deemed him (her?) not a threat, and pointed the bladed end at the ground before she stabbed it into the wooden floor, letting it stay upright. Also to show she would not attack unless the circumstances said otherwise.
"I am." She finally replied, still grinning away, and still giving the hunter a look over now that she felt more at ease to. "Are you searching for a fight, hunter?"

Hel swept her hand to her spear, still embedded in the floor. "Indeed I am!" Though speaking of weapons, she did now take the time to get a better look at his, and what she saw made her gasp, loudly. She'd never seen a hunter weapon like that before! It was...it was two toned! Just like her! Well, once upon a time. A thought struck her mind. Weapons were once Halloween students...was this student...cursed before it was converted? Like her?
Excitement swept over the reaper, who took some steps closer to Ripley, without her spear, and her eyes trained on his weapon. She pointed at it with her free hand. "Is it cursed?" She asked, her tone eager and hopeful.

He had been about to unsummon his weapon when the girl pointed at it eagerly, and asked him a question that seemed a little...odd. Cursed? Amber eyes fell to look at the blade, turning it a little bit so he could get a better look at the flat surface of it, to watch the runes glow on the black-and-white surface.
Was Wilhelm cursed?
The silence in his head wasn't entirely reassuring.
"I'm not sure. He's not the talkative sort." Ripley's tone dipped apologetically, the same farce he had used for years. Pretend he had that capacity, and life was easier. "I don't think he remembers." He added, interpreting the awkward, uncertain silence that stretched in the space where he usually heard the weapon's gruff voice.
But, as agreed, he unsummoned the blade; hidden under his sleeve, a black and white watch appeared, strapped securely around his wrist.

Already prone to impatience, and coupled with the excitement she was feeling, the hope there was another out there like her, it felt like the answer took an eternity. It also wasn't what she was hoping for. It wasn't a no, but it wasn't a yes either. The disappointment of not truly knowing was clear on Hel's face, and she let out a huff, blowing her bangs out of her eyes.
"Oh, what a bother! That whole memory matter...if he remembers anything, tell me, alright!?" Damn. So close, yet so far. Her eyes didn't leave the weapon until it was desummoned, in which she still was fascinated that even in that form, it was two toned. She now pointed at his watch.
"I looked like that, once--" A pause. "Ah, not a sword or a watch, mind you." She grinned a bit, and felt it would be alright to tell this new stranger about it, since his weapon was the closet she ever got to a kindred spirit in this regard. "But I looked like that." She then pointed at Ripley's face. "Half of me was like your color, and the other half was as I am now!"

Hel snapped her fingers. "Oh, ya! Right!" She then switched the eye patch she was holding to her left hand, and then held out her right hand to Ripley. To shake. This might have been the most agreeable, not to mention peaceful, introduction she ever had to a hunter thus far. "I am Hel!" She waited for him to take her hand, and for him to introduce himself in turn, but still went on to answer his question.
"It is a long story which I care not to spare the breath for that involved parents committing adultery and revenge on their offspring and what have you!" Actually that summed it up pretty well! "I imagine the curse was supposed to be more than that--" A pause. "And maybe it will be, one day!" She shrugged, and then gasped. "Oh, yanno, that is not entirely true! It altered my appearance and stunted my growth!" She gave Ripley a 'and you wouldn't believe this' look.
"The majority of my sisters are over six feet tall, and are much thicker than I! Not to mention they had much larger wing spans than I as well!"

He cast a glance at her hand, and the item she switch between them - an eyepatch? Hm. Still, when she held out hers, he held out his, and an exchange of names was made, as it should be.
"Ripley." She didn't provide a last name, he wasn't going to provide his. Though he doubted that there were many other Ripleys that were also hunters, so he probably wouldn't be that hard to find in the long run. He let go of her hand, but continued to listen to her story with only mild interest, though very little of it showed on his face.
She seemed to be cheerfully optimistic for someone whose curse might flare up again. Though - It stunted her growth? She was a little on the short side, but - ah, there goes the truth. Well, there was a runt in ever litter, he supposed.
"...Wing span?" He stared past her shoulders; he didn't see any wings at all. Even tiny fly wings would be bigger than no wings.

"Rip-ley." Hel repeated, giving his hand a firm shake. Those humans and their names. His hand was still uncomfortably warm, she noted, despite him wearing gloves, and it did fascinate her that humans apparently ran hot! Like fire demons or something...
She released his hand. "Ya." While a hint of a grin still tugged on her lips, she had grown quiet. Even though a lot of time had passed, she still felt it was important to be careful to talk about this. Not so much for her sake, but for everyone else who had been involved. The reaper went to toying with the eye patch she was holding, pulling the string between her fingers...
"I am a reaper, and my class is valkyrie, so I had wings once but..." She eyed the symbol on his coat. "A hunter with the same symbol you bear tore them off here, some time ago..." She looked back up at Ripley. "Oi! I am doing an awful lot of talking, and I know nothing about you--" She still wasn't even quite sure about his gender yet "--Why did you become a hunter?"

Valkyrie. The name resonated with him - no, not with him. With Wilhelm. The weapon piped up in the back of his mind, just a quite presence of realization and recognition.
"Wilhelm - my weapon - was a Sleipnir." Valkyries and Sleipnirs came from similar mythologies, didn't they? He was fairly sure that they did. Still, the presence in his head approved, and greatly so. She seemed to be playing with that eyepatch again, and this time, he actually took a good look at it - it looked...very familiar. Was that --
"Hm?" She was asking him something. "Ah. It was the lesser of two evils." At the time, that was true; but the longer he was a hunter and the more he was on that island he began to realize that there was no greater evil than just where he was. Still not keen on talking too much about himself though, his attention dropped back to the item in her hands.
"Nice eyepatch."

Hel gasped. "He was!?" Well, if Hel wasn't boiling with curiosity before, she was dying now. It raised more concerns and questions. Was it particular to her...kind...in a sense? But of course, with the memory thing, she was, most likely, not going to get any more answers soon. The reaper let out a groan, and shot the hunter a dismayed look. "That memory loss is really inconvenient, yanno?"
The reaper sighed, and tilted her head. "The lesser of two evils...of what?" Of course she was going to poke and prod, it was in her nature. She was, temporarily, side tracked from starting to grill him for more answers when he brought up the eye patch. "Thanks! I suppose." She held it up to let him have a better look. "A hunter named Finn gave me this!" After she kicked his a** around and then talked to him. "Are you familiar with him?"
