It had been a couple of hours since she'd moved into her new home. There had been some minor cleaning to make her new cave suitable, and that had been quickly accomplished. Her guard had enough blankets stored away to make her a suitable nest which she'd set up mostly. The biggest problem she faced was that he could see in the dark and she couldn't.

So the bright female had very politely asked Andrei to see if could find a few more lights for their caves. At least in the main room and her private room. She didn't want to intrude into his room unless asked. That had been several hours ago. Canaria had run out of things to do and now lay at the entrance into the main cave system. She really didn't want to go out there alone just yet, but she was bored and lonely in here by herself.

Ixchel wasn't hungry quite yet, so until he was, he just decided to just wander through the underdark. He did his best to avoid other dark tribe members, knowing full well his colors were rather bright for their kind. Other than that, he was naturally more of a solitary kind of balam.

It was as he kept padding through the darkness that he spotted something else rather bright not too far from him. Stopping in his tracks, he looked at this other balam. Hmm... it sure wasn't a dark tribe member, but it was a balam. It certainly was a new kind for him. Now he was faced with a choice, keep going forward or go back the way he came.

Her ears swiveled as she thought she heard the sound of paws on stone. Was it Andrei finally returning? As she waited, and waited, she realized that it wasn't him. There wasn't any light either. Canaria squinted her eyes to try to peer into the dark. If it wasn't her guard.... then who was it?

Now laying at the entrance of the door didn't seem like such a good idea after all. She thought she saw a bit of color out there in the darkness, but it looked sort of... like a skeleton. There wasn't skeletons walking around down here. Was there? Andrei hadn't mentioned any. Canaria was definitely nervous now as her ears kept twitching. Did she pull back into the cave and hoped it hadn't noticed her or wait where she might be able to flee if it showed hostility?

Ixchel stood in place for quite some time, unsure of what he wanted to do. Where he wanted to go was some distance up ahead, so he would have to continue forward, but that also meant he would have to get close to this other balam. He could always back track, but that wouldn't get him anywhere, well, it wouldn't get him to where he was going.

As he stood there, he noticed that the other seemed to have trouble looking around. Could they not see? This concept made him tilt his head some. Perhaps he could use that to his advantage as he slowly padded his way ahead.
