Caleb walked down a street of a dingy city, a large but thin coat worn to keep his solitary wing out of sight in order to avoid undesired attention from those that know a couple of the legends about his kind. His messy red hair hung into his face a little bit but it didn't hinder his sight at all as his boots made only a light sound on the concrete of the sidewalk. He wore a single thick glove on his left hand while his right hand was bare.

Merida Willow

She walked out of a Cafe and had a hoodie pulled up to cover up her looks a bit. The hoodie was not baggy enough to hide she was a woman. Her hair was in a lazy over the shoulder braid. The color of her hair was a weird golden like orange from a hair dye that faded. She carried nothing in her hands, though she had a backpack on her shoulder. Looking around she walked down the street. But not long into her walk a couple of guys started to tail her as they called to her. Calling her 'Hottie' and all that jazz.

Caleb

Caleb was going the same direction on the opposite side of the street, so he noticed the woman and the seemingly inebriated men that had started to follow her. He kept pace with her while keeping track of the males as he had a feeling that they might try to do something horrible to her and it was disgusting for him to think of. As he walked he stretched his right arm as if it were sore.

Merida Willow

She looked at the men over her shoulder. Both of them were bigger then her. It was hard to tell her height since she slumped. But soon enough her short high heeled boots clicked against the ground faster now. A park soon enough came into all of their sights. Since the men had been a good ten feet behind her, she did something a bit stupid. J-walk, well more like J-ran across the street with busy cars.

Some how she did not get hit. Only to run off into the park quick as she could. Soon enough she found herself in a bush throwing up, as her backpack was beside her. She ran maybe half a mile through the less used area of the park walking paths.

Caleb nearly got run into as the woman ran across the street and into the park. He blinked before he followed her, stopping a couple yards away from her. "Are you alright miss?" He asked her in a soft tone.

Merida Willow

She heard a voice and looked up. Seeing the man she landed on her butt hard and groaned; since she hit a tree root with her tailbone. She had been crouched in a cat like position. Now she looked at the man, rather dumb founded. "Yeah, yeah. I'm okay...", she said, only to move off the tree root now.

"Sorry about surprising you." Caleb said to her before she said she was okay. "That is good to hear." He said with a light nod to her. After a moment he had a little voice in the back of his head tell him to ask this. "Would you like me to accompany you until you are home?" He asked kindly as he knew how people around here could be.

Merida Willow

She watched him and nodded when he asked. Though it was a minute after he asked she had given him a reply. Standing up she picked up her back pack and put it on her shoulder. Her bangs framed her face, as they gone past her chin. Now she led him to another area of the park, that was closer to her house. "I'm Merida...", she said finally.

Caleb nods and walks with her. He looks over to her when she tells him her name. "I am Caleb. Nice to meet you Merida." He says kindly to her as they walk through the park.

She bowed her head to him. "Thank you for walking me home... I... I have trouble with some people...", she muttered. She did allow him to walk two feet from her, never closer.

Caleb nods back to her. "I know how it is having trouble with certain kinds of people, though probably for different reasons." He said to her before reaching up to scratch a light itch on the back of his neck.

Merida Willow

She watched him carefully from the corner of her eye. Like she did trust him more then the men whom had caused her to run. Now she pulled a piece of mint flavor gum into her mouth, then held one out to Caleb. In a weird stubborn way she looked forward as she held it out to him. They were nearly out of the park now only for a lot of old fashion one story houses to be seen. When they reached a stop sign she sighed only to rub her neck.

Caleb reaches to take the offered gum with his right hand. "Thank you." He said before putting the gum in his mouth and began chewing it. When he heard her sigh he glanced over, just in time to see her rub the back of her neck. "Is something wrong Merida?"

She looked at him as cars driven across their walk way. "Uh, no! What makes you think that!", she said to face palm and groan. She realized her reaction gave her away only to lower her hand from her face. Now she glanced at him and blushed. Biting her lip she glanced away from him then back to him. "Sorry... It's just there's so much going on...", she said in a low voice, like she was ashamed of something.
