When you have a crush on someone and then realize he is gay or taken.

The last time that happened, I found out the girl I liked had a girlfriend... 2 months after I started liking her (she was already in a long-distance relationship even before I started liking her). Then one time in high school, I started liking this guy whom I knew was taken. Another time in high school, I liked this guy. Then I found out he was taken.
Long story short, it happened many times with the person I liked being taken.

Middle School
- I liked one of my friends, but then later found out they were gay.
- I liked another friend, but then found out he was taken...
Elementary School
- I liked a boy. but he HATED me.

Not had an issue with the gay part, but I have had crushes that were taken, or just over all didn't seem to acknowledge my existence.

Taken but is it bad cause even tho he is taken he still tries to get with me.
