PS3 or 3DS Now,this is for which one I want to get first, not which one is better PS3- Pros: Have games I can play already I know the controls for several of said games Large memory Cons: Still pricy Don't even know if there's a spot in the tv for it
3DS- Pros: Mobile Relatively cheap Folds Online Friend Code stuff Cons: That 3D stuff (do NOT suggest getting a 2DS)-modified by being able to be turned off Sucky net that probably won't connect to it No games to start off with-will drive the price up to the same as the above, if not higher

I've never been a PS person so I might be biased on this topic.
The 3DS is actually pretty cool and yeah, it's nice that it can fold to prevent wear and tear on your screen and keys. My kids have had theirs for 3 years now and no problems. It's probably the sturdiest portable they've ever had. Both their DS Lite eventually got broken a little in the past. The games themselves are sturdy too. I don't know how many times I've found one in the washer or dryer and they are still working perfectly xp
Doesn't Nintendo have a better resale rate than PS? And I don't know if they are still making the games on mini disks that get scratched up, personally I've always liked the cartridge style games, they last longer. I suppose the only drawback to Nintendo would be the fact that the majority of their games lean toward children so we don't a lot of those super cool action packed games like those of the PSP or bigger consoles.

And isn't portable... I'm not talking two handheld systems here, I'm talking a handheld and a more standard Dork would say dummy but someone not involved would be offended :L

Though I may want to get something from the PlayStation series eventually, the only one I have experience with is the 3DS. Once I figured out how to set up the internet for it, it connects to it pretty well.
The browser can't play anything Flash-based, and tends to be pretty slow, but I've still found it useful. Since the browser can't play any Flash, they have a YouTube application you can download, so pretty much anything you can find on YouTube can be also viewed on the 3DS.
They have a lot of free demos you can download, and you can also sort the games by price if you don't want to spend a lot of money on games (though the cheaper games are also less popular).

Same with my iPad, so it's very unlikely I'll be putting in that app games that I'd most likely delete

To each their own I guess. I also am enjoying the HD revamps of Tales of Symphonia and FFX. Gonna get KH 2.5 in December too. All great PS3 choices smile
