So my husband has recently gotten back into gaia. And though he has been watching/listening me for months b***h about not wanting to buy Gaia cash and being pissed at gaia he goes and buys it. Any who he has been buying these stupid generators. He has been getting the items. (I think I'd really hate him if he didn't and got the gold) And he says I have no right to tell him no he can't buy them D<
I am like what the ********. He justifies doing this by giving me the girly items or the items he has two of. And it pisses me off soo bad D<
He has about 5bil. And I am lucky to have 40mil at most -_- This just goes to show the difference between cash users and non cash users. The gap is huge :/
Sorry I had to vent. -_-

Sheesh, was he doing that just to spite you or something? cat_neutral Hey, you could turn off the ability to receive gifts so he can't send you anything. emotion_awesome

Also, without spending any Gaia Cash, or even vending items in the Marketplace, I've found a good method involving Towns 1 to make millions of gold a day, while at the same time, lowering inflation on certain items. It's how I finally was able to afford my Waffles the Cat. cat_cool I think I'm actually making gold faster with this method than any of the other available methods that I can think of (that don't involve Gaia Cash, at least).

If anyone's interested, here's what I've been doing:

For the past week or so, I've been running around in Towns 1, collecting rare and expensive items that have gone up in price from the inflation. Originally, I started going in there to try and catch those rare bugs that I once saw there (don't know yet if they're in Towns 2), because some of them, namely the Great Monarch, are worth insane amounts of money now (over a billion). So far, out of all the rare bugs, I've only found a Purple Fly (at least, since I've started this "project").

While hunting for the rare bugs, I thought I would collect trash, flowers, and bugs along the way, but most of them weren't worth the time to pick up or catch, so I did a little research to figure out which ones I should look for so I don't waste time picking up every little thing I see. Out of all of the available items, I've found that Old Crumpled Newspapers (about 50,000g each), Blue Carnations (about 15,000g each), and Sunflowers (about 10-15,000g each) are the best things to pick up, while pretty much any bug other than Brown Beetles, Crickets, Yellow Butterflies, House Flies, and Fireflies would be worth it to catch.

The problem with some of these rare items is that they can look a lot like one of the cheaper ones, namely how Old Crumpled Newspapers (50,000g) look like Crumpled Newspapers (100g), and Red Flies (13,000g) look like House Flies (1,000g). I've found that by using the right Adblock codes, you can choose to see nothing but the items and bugs that you want, and I've also found one that, for some reason, lets you walk through houses.

These are the codes I'm personally using:

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/trash/trash_*.swf

Blocks all trash.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/flowers/*.swf

Blocks all flowers.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/ground/hopper_1_1.swf

Blocks Crickets.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/fly/cicada_1_1.swf

Blocks Cicadas.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/fly/fly_1_2.swf

Blocks House Flies.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/fly/fly_1_3.swf

Blocks Fireflies.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/fly/butterfly_1_2.swf

Blocks Yellow Butterflies. Not only are they cheaper than the other butterflies, but they also look a lot like Great Monarchs.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/structures/bulletin.swf

Blocks the bulletin boards, which often have hidden items behind it.

||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/house/barton_mask/*.swf

Allows you to walk through all houses. It saves time, and makes for a nice trick. "What?! How are you doing that?!"

@@||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/trash/trash_2a.swf

Whitelists Old Crumpled Newspapers.

@@||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/flowers/carnation_3.swf

Whitelists Blue Carnations.

@@||gaiaonline.com/images/towns/002/npc/flowers/sunflower_1.swf

Whitelists Sunflowers.

None of these should block rare bugs.

Just thought it would help. cat_smile

I would if it would stop him but he knows my accounts password he could easily turn them back on or just trade them when I am not in the room.
I don't know if its to spite me or what. But its really pissing me off. He has spent over $100 in the past week.. -_- And he really thinks its ok. I am like no you are making stuff worse. I have showed him graphs and everything of why its bad. But nope he thinks it is the only way to get stuff -_- Gaia's greedy ways have gotten to my husband. Evil I say evil.
And I think I will do that. Though I don't mind catching all the bugs because I make them into inks and sell them for gold xD Thank you though I shall use those codes for the paper smile

And what will he do when he suddenly needs a lot of money and has spent it all on pixels? And there's no way he can borrow the amount he needs from anyone? Then what?

Then I will do what I have done many times before and say "I told you so" to him.
As it is right now we need a new lawnmower and to get the AC in our car fixed. But his priorities lie online with all his stupid games.

xD trust me, in the past year I have thought about it alot. There is a lot of issues going on here and all of them just pile on top of each other. And its literally wtf.
Its not that we don't have the money. We do he is just to lazy to get off his butt go buy a lawnmower then mow the yard. And as for the car he can't bare to get off his precious video games/computer too look up a mechanic in this area. Its like he comes home does nothing. -_- I am hoping he does it tonight. But gah sorry to sorta vent at you.

1. Go to Japan with him
2. Kill him and make it look like suicide
3. Go home
4. They won't be able to solve it and will declare it to be suicide, which is [apparently] the reason their crime rate is so low
5. You win

Edit: bonus points if you kidnap T.M.Revolution and bring him to me so I can glomp him heart

While he is right about it being his money and being allowed to do whatever he wants with it, there seems to be a deeper underlying problem here based on what you've said in other posts. It seems that marriage counseling may be needed.

Well I would start by changing your password so it's something only you know...

As for the other thing, I'm not sure...but he should definitely be more concerned with getting car repairs and such like you said.
Especially if he's throwing money at more than one game site.

Just like Princess Voltari said, you should probably change your password if he knows it. No one else is supposed to know your password anyway, especially if you know they'll use it to get in and mess with stuff. If he gets in a bad mood with you, he could do much worse to your account than just change the settings to forcibly give you gifts (such as come in and mess with stuff in this guild while having a Crew member status). Anyway, if you disable gifts and change your password (to something he wouldn't be able to guess), he shouldn't be able to give you anything. Even if you stay logged in, trades and gifts don't work without the password. If he also knows how to get into the email address you used for your Gaia account, you might want to change the password for that too, since he could do the whole "forgot my password" thing.

Plus, even if it didn't reward Gaia's bad behavior, $100 in a week for virtual stuff is just excessive.

Back on the Towns 1 / Adblock topic, I mainly started blocking the not-so-expensive bugs because even if converted to ink and sold (though I've recently decided to sell them in their original bug form), the time and effort it takes to catch them is usually not worth it, especially as they move around a lot. House Flies (too small to catch easily), Crickets (can hide behind stuff), and Dragonflies (though worth more money, are way too fast) were the main ones I was having problems with. But you can catch them all if you want. cat_razz It still lowers inflation on them anyway.
