So I am a senior, and so far we have played every major piece I've wanted, Jupiter and American Elegy. But there is one piece that i"ve fallen in love with, that he has given two us two years in a row, and taken away both times. Our last concert of the year is coming up, and I'm getting quite emotion, and when I thought all hope was lost, he passed that piece out to us today.

Vasuvius by Frank Ticheli

We had gone to the all State conferance playng Apollo Unleashed, so I was afraid he wouldn't want to do anymore Ticheli, but he giving it to us anyway. I play Eb Contra Alto clarinet, and I've already got my part memorized. We weren't good enough to play it last year (had a bunch of new kids in the band), but we're more than ready now.

If we play this, for the last song of the last concert (my band is the last of the concert) I will be crying so hard.My senior year going out on a note of death.
