NAME OF CLASS: First Aid 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

General information: A general overview on basic illnesses a student might run into, as well as symptoms and quick fixes to things like breaks and deep cuts while on the go!

Each student is given a dummy to work on, though they may choose to partner up in fixing it.

Mechanics:
Roll 1 20-sided dice, what you roll is what your student gets to work with...

Dice Rolls and What they Mean!
1-4 - Broken Bone
4-8 - Fever
9-12 - Heat Stroke
13-16 - Hypothermia
17-20 - Lack of Bodily Function (such as breathing, pulse, etc) - this is unnaturally so.

After this, please roll 4, 4-sided Dice. Take into account their total and any repeating numbers

Total Results and their Meaning

1-6 - You do a rather poor job patching up your dummy, you might not want to try and heal anybody anytime soon!
7-12 - You do an average job, nothing extraordinary, but passable!
12-16 - Extra good work! Your student can now heal surface wounds!, but not repair HP! This means things like cuts and bleeding that might hinder another character can be patched up!

What Repeating Numbers Mean

No Repeating Numbers - You used just the right amount of supplies, good for you! Not wasteful at all.
Repeating 1s or 2s - You didn't use enough supplies, that's rather lazy and Cricket obviously disapproves of it.
Repeating 3s or 4s - You used too many supplies and that's wasteful! Naughty! Cricket might make you earn your supply rights back in a future class!

If you work as a group, split up the dice between yourselves as evenly as possible. So if you're paired up, each person rolls a 10 sided dice and you add up the results to get your dummy!

Then you split up your 4 sided dice to work on fixing it up!

Bonus Mechanics:
For every 3 times you attempt this course, your student may add +1 to their 4d4 dice roll's total to improve how well they patched up the dummy.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You are finished rolling both sets of dice and rping out the results. That means you have to START OVER to try again! You may do so in the same thread or a new one if you decide to attempt again at a later date.

ATTEMPT 2

This was important, he needed to learn this or else he would not be an effective individual, especially in the field. He only managed to do so much to help his minipets by bandaging with clothes and with what little he knew about medicine. He wasn’t exactly sure if what he was doing was right but it seemed that Fraustus was fine and so… that was something, right? Looking at his notebook, he noticed that the first aid class was coming up and that he should attend. It would be his second time, the first time being in his first year where he had used too many of the tools and instruments. That apparently had annoyed the Professor and he ended up paying for the extra ones he ended up using. He had to prioritize and manage what he was given; he was capable of doing this. Rolling his shoulders, Uru had rolled from his bed, throwing the blanket off of him and swung over like a door, landing on his front with his hands on the floor at his shoulders. With a swift push, he did a quick rep of ten pushups before pushing himself to stand. Glancing around the room, he was comfortable with where everything was. It was a living space, it was not a space that he would invite people over as there was nowhere to sit. In fact, the only elevated seating in the room was the reading nook by the right window, the desk chair, and the bench that rested beneath the piano in the opposite corner of the room. The bed was sunken into the ground and the small lounge of pillows in another corner of the room that he found his minipets lounging in most of the time. He contemplated the arrangement with his bed often; it was sunken, but it wasn’t exactly practical. It was mostly because he had enjoyed sleeping in an enclosed space, and he did dish out quite a bit of money for all the pillows. They came in bulk. Stepping outside the door, he gave his room one last glance before heading to class.
He came in just in time and found himself one of the supplied dummies for the class. It was a male. Well, it was questionable. Unisex was safer, no genitals or mammary glands. Crossing his arms over his thick chest, he listened intent on the instructions that were being given.

He waited for the Professor to assign the ailments that their dummies would show symptoms of.

Hypothermia.

"Hypothermia. When the body's core temperature falls below 95 degrees, or 35, dependent on the desired measurement." He muttered under his breath as he looked over the individual's body. "Not a problem for any individual who is dead or cold-aligned, such as myself but..." He had no idea how to do this, he was a cold-aligned demon, the Azure-flame was a cold fire! His brows knitted together as he tried to think.

His brows knitted together as he tried to think.

Pulling his jacket off his shoulders, he laid it over chest of the dummy. He spoke as he worked, taking only what he needed. “Warm the body’s core back to the base. Adding layers to provide insulation is necessary. Do not warm up extremities as it could cause a flow of cold blood back to the body which would induce shock and cause problems for the heart.” He spoke to himself as he fished out two blankets to lay over the body. If he was able to start a fire, that was another option, but he let his instincts tell him that it was unsafe to do so in a room full of chemicals and students and the fact that it was a classroom. Go figure.

Looking up at the Professor, he could tell that they were not happy with what he was doing. The thermometer was showing that the temperature was rising, was his job was done, that was for sure, but looking at the dummy on the table, he could have gotten the job done with just one blanket…

ATTEMPT 3

Fever.

He had gotten fever again, and the memories of his first attempt in the class where he had also used too many materials and gotten the wrath of the Professor. He grumbled to himself as he stared down at the dummy. Moving the supply cart closer to himself, he looked over his supplies and worked at what he had. Which wasn’t very much. Taking the pan, he moved to the sink to fill it with water and readied a few wash clothes that had been neatly folded at the bottom. He knew that it was a dummy so giving it medicine was silly, but it was worth something, quickly withdrawing a few tablets of pain killers and fever reducers. It was a coward’s way out, but it was what they were for; they were for treating this sort of thing. Turning to the dummy, he began working on it.

"Fever is the result of an immune response by your body to a foreign invader. These foreign invaders include viruses, bacteria, fungi, drugs, or other toxins." he muttered to himself as he placed a cloth over the dummy's head and worked the pills down the mannequin's mouth, placing the thermometer back to keep a watch on the elevated heat. The electronic reader flashed 101 degree which was certainly a fever. He placed a hand on the plastic of the dummy, feeling a slight heat coming from it as it tried to simulate the temperature, his fingers traced up the oddly fit dummy to heart and another hand to its neck, a beat underneath raced; increased heart rate. It shivered, it was heated. He could not tell exactly if it was the water from the wash cloth that was dripping down the side of its head or sweat, but he was going to assume the latter and be safe to assume that it was another symptom.

There was not much else he could do but wait it out.

"Fevers are the body's autoimmune response, you just have to manage through it and hope for the best. The body is fighting something inside, just let it do that. All one can do is try to reduce the pain."
