Enrollment Acceptance "STOP DROP AND ROLL! STOP DROP AND ROLL!!" The gnomes were close enough to the ground that the purple smoke filling the room wasn't affecting them yet, but Selene had dropped down to try and crawl out of Arel's office the moment the acceptance bin had begun to spew the stuff. They were all trying to guide her out, telling her different ways of getting out of the room unscathed. "She's not on fire, you IDIOT! It's just smoke! Stay low and crawl, miss! Follow the sound of our voices!" "STOP DROP AND ROLL!" "WILL YOU QUIT THAT?!" Selene had a great deal of noise to follow in order to find her way to the door.

Name: Tokiko (Exclusively goes by "Toki"--he won't introduce himself with his full name.) Nicknames: "...U-um..." Gender: Male Age: 15 ("and a half...")
Faction: Monster Race: Cheshire Cat - This particular clan of Cheshire Cat's stripes spread over the body as the individual ages. The older the individual, the more stripes they possess, and subsequently the more power they are potentially able to utilize.
Natural Ability: ▲▲▲Purple Smoke (That's what he calls it, anyway--even if sometimes it looks pink...) His stripes, being somewhat unruly, occasionally emit a very dense smoke-like substance. They come off of his stripes and maintain their shape as if making smoke rings. Toki doesn't have much control (at the moment) over when and for how long this happens, which can be frustrating, as the substance can be uncomfortable for others to breathe in. (Not to mention it can cloud his vision at inconvenient times...)
Personality:
▲▲▲Avoidant Toki isn't much of a social butterfly. He avoids contact with most others in general, but especially stays away from clusters of people. The less people in a crowd, the better. A person on their own offers the least amount of stress. This trait is not rooted in anxiety, but a strange sort of conscientiousness--Toki is terrified of accidentally hurting someone (*see FEAR), and he's also afraid of making them uncomfortable if his stripes begin to give off their purple smoke.
▲▲▲Quiet Toki normally only speaks when spoken to. Whether it's from straight-up shyness or just lack of social experience, if you're looking for someone to tell you detailed events, Toki's not your boy. The up side of this is that he's excellent at listening (if he's interested, that is). He hasn't had much experience really conversing for long periods of time with others as of yet, so this trait has great potential for change. It's possible he just needs someone to bring him out of his shell.
▲▲▲Impatient If you can't tell him precisely what he wants to know within somewhere around 20 seconds, Toki's impatience clock starts ticking (he faced the stress of asking you about something, after all). This may manifest itself in physical ways, such as claw-tapping, shirt-tugging, or irritated-looking sideways glances. He isn't often impatient, however, because he rarely asks people for things in the first place.
▲▲▲Irascible Toki's a little on the sensitive and defensive side, but his sensitivity has a tendency to move in an angry direction. Sometimes this is the direct result of the previously mentioned trait, but generally he's just quick to feel irritable. If he feels cornered in any way, his quiet tendencies vanish and he can be vocally abrasive.
▲▲▲Self-conscious Perhaps the core of every single one of his previously listed traits is his self-consciousness. Toki is a desperate kid seeking help for things he feels are out of his control. He has no friends or family at this time, and he feels that everyone around him is better than him in mostly any way you can think of. He's quick to think someone would look down on him or make fun of him for any reason, even if that person might actually think he was cool. His perception of being negatively observed by others (or negatively affecting others) interferes constantly with what he really wants: to be accepted and have people who genuinely care about him.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
As Toki ages, his powers begin to manifest and grow stronger. Things have begun to happen more now than before--the haze his markings exude, and his arms morphing on their own more often, both of which he lacks control over. Afraid of losing control completely, he made a difficult decision--he asked someone for advice. This someone pointed him in the direction of Amityville Academy, with a great many reassurances that the training they offered would be able to help him. Feeling dubious, but with no place else to turn, he applied.
FEAR Ability: ▲▲▲Gambler's Chance//Desolation Seemingly because of his stripes, Toki's arms are capable of morphing and becoming monstrous and limber. Sometimes this begins to happen without his say-so, and even when it is because of his say-so, it's very difficult to control. However, when he can control it, the two appendages are capable of delivering powerful blows.
*Outside of battle, Toki's arms have been known to occasionally begin to morph on their own. Once this begins to happen, he can get them under control again with some intense concentration and effort. This "quirk" is incredibly embarrassing and annoying to him, not to mention it can also be physically taxing, and it only increases his anxiety that he may accidentally hurt someone. [GM approved]

▲▲▲Spooky Woods Toki was living in some pretty spooky woods (he called them..."the spooky woods") before he decided to go to Amityville. He was born from FEAR with no family, so he's been toughing things out on his lonesome since then. Being that his life was just a tad on the feral side before, his appearance is a little on the, shall we say, unkempt side. He really doesn't care or think about appearances (although he does care what others think about his appearance, he just lacks the will and fashion sense to change--changing his looks wouldn't fix all his problems, after all), least of all his own. But hey, maybe there's a plus side in there somewhere?
