Name: Catinka Kyrkan Nicknames: Tink Gender: Female Age: 16 (equivalent)
Faction: Ghost Race: Church Grim/Lamb of Death, a three-legged harbinger of bad luck.
PERSONALITY
Abstracts: Positives: friendly, optimistic, kind Negatives: stupid, easily-distracted, gullible Neutrals: feminine, quiet, obedient, imaginative Hobbies: drawing, clothes, knitting (yes, with one hand! and crochet), reading, writing stories Likes: bells, bats, woolen things, interesting people Dislikes: being the center of attention, pressure, deadlines
Catinka is soft-spoken, easily distracted, and feminine to the core. She is so prone to becoming wrapped up in the active workings of her imagination that she not-uncommonly wanders right down several unknown corridors in succession and finds herself utterly lost. Sometimes, though, she can't remember where she was going in the first place, so that's OK.
She is friendly and even outgoing, but her strange mode of speaking, difficulty following a thought to its natural conclusion, and somewhat off-putting habit of wandering away when someone is trying to tell her something make her a frustrating companion.
Catinka is something of a born minion: obedient (before she forgets your orders, anyway), loyal, prone to hero-worship, gullible, easily-cowed, and stupid. Her natural place in the Amityville hierarchical ladder will likely end up a low rung, under the thumb of one or more leader types who might find her eagerness to please enough to offset her limited skillset and need for constant oversight, lest her focus stray.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Catinka was always dreamy, distracted, and, to put it bluntly, incredibly clumsy. There was no hoof polish she did not spill, no dish she did not break, no object in her path she did not trip over even though she could have phased through it. Eventually it was proposed to her by a kindly stranger that perhaps, as an omen of bad luck, Catinka was failing to harness her intended talents and was instead bringing bad luck on herself. Whether this was an accurate assessment remains in question, but it was decided that for Catinka's own good and the sanity of those around her, some time in the Academy was in order.

Natural Ability: Minor phasing of her extremities through objects (not full-body). For the time being this mostly manifests in an unfortunate tendency to phase right into some sort of mess or undergrowth, only to forget that she can phase and end up tripping seconds later, although it's also useful for rooting through the craft supplies drawer without actually having to open it.
Y1 FEAR Ability: Guardian Spirit (Barrier) - The natural function of a Church Grim is to protect. Catinka is no exception.

Church grims are the spirits of young animals sacrificed to protect a new altar or church (generally, as in Catinka's case, by burying them alive under the threshold or altar). Their spirits are intended to be bound to protect the hallowed ground they died for, but many are also perceived as ill omens if seen by anyone but a priest or devotee. This is especially true of church grims which manifest as three-legged lambs. Viewing a church lamb is said to portend the death of a child--or of its witness, if the lamb approaches directly.

While not actually housing a bell any more, the garret room Catinka resides in still has the beam and rope where a bell once was. She has assisted the general homey ambiance by filling the room up with various bat-esque minipets, whose wings provide a constant, gentle rustling. She also has a small troupe of toothed jingle bells, which, when not snoozing in a basket by the window, are often found chasing one another around the floor.
Catinka sleeps on a bed of hay and patchwork quilts and Scandinavian-patterned blankets, and keeps a slightly-messy knitting area overflowing with baskets of yarn and needles and long-abandoned, half-finished projects.
