[1 vs 1] Ice me like one of your french gals (Edel, Poke)

It was starting to get ridiculous. By now Poke had figured out what had been hitting her all this time, but it didn't make things any better. She still couldn't see the minipets, nor could she see their poop (but jack dam she could smell it. After stepping in some of the stuff for the third time, she opted to take shelter in the gymnasium for now. Surely she couldn't be pelted by anything in here, right?

At least she hoped so. Because her head was getting sore from the random blows of squealing minis.

Unfortunately for Pokerus, the ghoul would encounter what would seem to be a small swarm of mini draken spritlings buzzing around as she set foot into the gym. These were of course, small animated ice sculptures that Edel was learning how to control. Learning.

So it was just her luck that the frost demon had lost concentration as the ice spritlings hovered over the other ghoul's head, sending them crashing down and pelting Poke like very spiky bits of hail. Oops.

"Oh dear, I am so sorry for that," Edel apologised quickly.

Having spotted the tiny ice drakes flying about, the monster ghoul was doing her best to duck and weave out of the way of the things, but in the end they just came at her, smashing their ice bodies against her skull.

"UGH!" She cried out, rubbing the back of her head where they had managed to get around the horns. Now her head was throbbing and she was in a foul mood, so when Edel came over to apologize she glared at her angrily, not appreciating the sudden attack at all.

"You can make it up to me with a fight." She stated. What better way to let off some steam then to brawl?

Her challenge declared, The dragon wasted no time in rushing at her foe, ready to pay back the damage by lowering her horns and ramming her head into the demon,

Because, bashing your head when it was hurting totally made everything better.

Edel didn't have time to slip in another apology before she was quite unceremoniously rammed into by the dragon. The frost demon supposed that the formalities were no longer required at this point.

Stumbling back, the ghoul clutched her gut and heaved a deep breath. That one really hurt. A small tiny dagger was formed in her hand, which she hurled towards the other ghoul with mediocre accuracy. It wasn't the best she could do, but she needed some time to prepare herself for the next attack. She really hoped that she wasn't going to be bashed into again till then.

The tiny slither of ice was barely felt by Poke, the ghoul letting it shatter against her skin while she focused her relentless onslaught. Thankfully she wasn't about to ram Edel with her horns again.

However, she did something just as bad, and aimed a punch right into the demons solar flexes

Ow ow ow ow okay that really hurt. Edel figured that the best thing she could do for herself now was to get as far away as possible from the dragon. Meanwhile, the ghoul had managed to form a minipet sized ice sculpture of a frost wyrm, which she sent launching in the dragon's direction. Just as it seemed as though it was about to crash into the ground, the frost demon sent a gust of cold breath its way, breathing life into the sculpture which then soared through the air towards Poke's face. How's that for a counter attack.

Edel also figured then that she should also start running away very quickly now.

Well, she weathered the last ice dagger no problem, she could take this new ice creature, right?

...Apparently not. The wyrm smashed right into her face, the dragon ghoul howling in pain and trying to get the tiny sharks left out of her eyes. When she was able to see again, she glared down her opponent and channeled her fear. Yes, it was time to use that attack, the one she had been working on.

With her fist in the air, it began to form a vortex of water, but instead of throwing it at Edel she slammed it into the ground. If this worked, she would be able to take down the demon in one hit.

Instead, she sent a wall of water right at herself, and the dragon flew backwards.

"...Ow."

Edel decided that it was a good thing that she had gotten away as soon as possible, once she saw the vortex of water that gathered around the dragon's fist. There wasn't very much elsewhere to run, and the ghoul thus decided her best bet now was to take shelter. A shell of ice not unlike an igloo was formed around her and the frost demon crouched down behind it, bracing herself for the attack...

... that never came.

The frost demon watched in mild shock as the water wall backfired onto the dragon ghoul. Er -

"Are you alright?" she called out from behind the barrier. Is that really a question you should be asking now Edel?

It took a few minutes for the dragon to recover from being hit. With her own attack.

"...Fine...." She wasn't seriously injured, but her pride was. Sitting up, she saw the demon had made herself a ice shield of some kin, maybe even a igloo. It looked pretty cool, but it also appeared it would be a pain to break with her fists alone, so she gathered up more energy in her fists, the water swirling once more to form a powerful attack. Except this time she shot the ball of water straight at the igloo.

The frost demon stared at the incoming water ball helplessly and watched it smash right through the ice barrier she created, getting sprayed in the face with the last bit of the water attack. Well that... was a rather pathetic attempt at shielding herself, she concluded, getting up and slicking her wet hair back and sparkling in the process.

She decided she could return the dragon the favour from earlier on, crafting a fist of ice that was sent hurling at Poke's gut. The frost demon was all ready to end this fight quickly in the next few attacks right now.

Ahh. It felt good to see her attack work for once, and do a fair bit of damage as well. The dragon grinned at her handiwork, watching the ice shatter into nothing. she might of been jealous of the sparkling Edel as well. Just a bit

Her joy did not last, as she was suddenly faced with a ice punch. The blow knocked the wind out of her stomach, sending her on one knee as she tried to get back into her lungs. Annoyed, she got to her feet once more and jumped at the demon with a slash of her claws.

Not the face please.

The ghoul stepped back just in time to avoid getting clawed in the face by the lunging dragon, reflexively putting her arm out in front to shield herself from the incoming attack. Edel winced in pain as the claws tore through her sleeve and scratched her forearm, the thin layer of ice crystals on her skin doing little to protect her.

Edel took a quick step back, throwing her sleeves at Poke's face before whirling around to slice at the ghoul with a medium sized ice sabre. She then hopped back a few steps, holding the weapon out in front of her.

She couldn't help but be sad at the damaged sustained though. "Hm..." she murmured, staring dolefully at the torn sleeve. She quite liked this dress.

Trying to scratch at the quick footed Edel was difficult, and it became even more so when she found her vision was covered by the sleeve of the others dress. Battering the clothing out of the way, she then found herself facing down a saber instead. The sword bit deep into her side, tearing through the fabric and leaving a dark stain underneath.

Finding it hard to focus with such a wound, she stepped back with her hands holding her sides, hoping to stop the blood flow as it left a thin trail down her pants leg and dripped onto the floor.

Okay. It was a good sign for her to stop now that blood was being drawn. "Shall we call this over?" Edel offered, nodding at Poke's wound. "Sorry about that," she apologised sheepishly. The ice sabre in her hand was dissolved into a small ice pack which the frost demon offered to the other ghoul, along with a portion of her torn sleeve to stem the blood flow. This probably wasn't the right treatment to administer for such an injury (nurse cricket would be very disappointed), but it was the thought that counts right?

"Edel, it was nice sparring with you," came the belated introduction.
