So, I left the house today.

I don't like leaving the house, but for some reason I decided that I would today.
I went with my mom to watch my little brother bowl. Well, normally it's really
boring on the way to the alley, at the alley and leaving the alley....
Today was different!

- My mom left/lost her wallet somewhere in our house and didn't have money
to buy my little bro lunch or pay for his bowling. So, I pulled out some money
out of my wallet and paid for lunch. Plus, pulled out 6 bucks so he could
bowl.

(Now, we get into the bowling alley parking lot)

- Some elderly woman was shivering, wandering around the parking lot and
came up to our window. Apparently, she had been stuck at the bowling alley
because she lost her ticket (?) and didn't have any money to get home.
She asked if we could spare any money so she could go home. I gave her
20 bucks. She almost started crying and she hugged me through the car
window and then she hurried down the hill to the bus stop.

(We're now in the bowling alley, my brother is bowling.)

- I had a shitty day before I left the house and so did my mom, but we both
started acting silly and cheered each other up. I made my mom get a
stomach cramp from laughing and I nearly peed myself.

(Bowling over, we're in the parking lot)

- It's dark and raining out, my brother becomes a diva and demands that
my mom drive the car to the front of the alley so he doesn't get his bag
wet. I go with her (I HAD FRIGGIN HEADPHONES AND I STILL WENT
THROUGH THE RAIN) We pull up, he puts his stuff away and we drive
around, towards the exit. I'm playing with my phone, going through the music
on it. I look up and yell, "Mom, look out!" She almost hit two guys who
were walking in the rain. No one got hurt, she apologized to them, we went
home.

(Now we're home)

- I made dinner so my mom could relax, since she had to go straight to the
bowling alley from work. I gave my dog some chicken nuggets no one wanted
from lunch. I get online and see that I had a s**t ton of messages apologizing
to me from someone I thought that I had made mad. Turns out she thought
I was mad.

I came home, glad that I left the house.

My day didn't go as I planned it, so I got kinda bummed. We were gonna go shopping but it didn't happen. emo
We're building our own computer and getting a desk and chair and everything though, so I can't be too upset! xp

Your story reminds me of a time I was driving with my mom to get Pizza. A lot of homeless people hang around there and as we were coming out one of the guys asked if I had any change. My mom said "no." I kinda hesitated because I feel bad so I said "... I have a dollar." and opened my purse. My mom was tapping her foot while I got it out and the guy stood there and as I handed it to him he said, "You ever seen an alien run from a human being?" And I was like... "uh..." and my mom said, "GET IN THE CAR". As we got in the car he said, "I have. You guys have a nice day." And we freakin' sped out of there.

gonk I seriously thought I might die right there...

I had a homeless man ask me for money for food once (he was talking about how he hadn't eaten), my boyfriend and I had just left a restaurant so I offered him my left overs, but he was all like, "nah... I was hoping to get something from the What-a-Burger".

That's when I quickly said no we didn't and walked off. talk2hand

When he refused the food and still expected money I was thinking you've got to be kidding me. I'm sorry, but if you haven't eaten in the last few days are you seriously going to turn down a hot meal because it's not from the fast food restaurant of your choice?

As to my day, nothing exciting work and home like usual. Although it was cold today in Texas, which I guess is something in itself.

Nice you got out of the house, and with family, which makes it even better -- even if there was some stress involved.

Me, I've been trying all day to get out of the house, and I'm STILL trying to get out of the house! But it's 9:55 p.m., and I'm on the damn computer. mrgreen So that makes it even less likely. Wah. xp
