[HH] Cruising for Trouble (Rikki x Molly)

His last fight in the haunted house had been kind of invigorating. There was something about beating up the enemy that was just refreshing and inspiring. That was the only explanation Rikki had for stalking through the haunted house now, looking for someone else to challenge.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are."

Molly actually didn’t miss Haunted House duty…so she was actually a bit dismayed when it was re-assigned to her again. She’d never complain though, oh no. Absolutely not. Didn’t mean she was looking forward to it though…

She released a soft sigh as she clutch the handle of her weapon harder, but paused as she heard a voice call out. Her heart beat a bit faster. Other hunters didn’t say stuff like that…so that could only mean… The Mist trainee stepped out from behind the ruins of a nearby wall, her expression solemn as she stared at who was calling.

She didn’t like reapers. They looked too human…but this one had a few features that definitely made it clear he wasn’t human…it made it easier to fight.

"There you are," Rikki grinned, closing in on the hunter. "Out here all by yourself? What a shame. How about we pass the time together?" He winked and summoned his chains, swinging them in lazy arcs.

This hunter didn't have the confidence the last one had. Didn't mean he was hesitant to fight her, though. If she wore the coat, she was just as dangerous.

“I’d rather not.” She replied, her voice hushed and her brows knitted, but she slid into a defensive position none the less. Though Molly didn’t want to be here, it didn’t mean she’d back down.

All of them needed to be snuffed out. It was as plain and simple as that for her.

She was so unwilling to attack that it just made Rikki want to mess with her head. Instead of attacking outright, he melded into the shadows and then quickly reformed in front of her, face split by a cheshire grin. It was a cheap trick, one that any grim could do, but it was fun none-the-less. "Too bad, cause I'm here to stay."

Yeah, probably a little too easy to mess with. Molly was already on edge before, and the fact this reaper could just disappear definitely didn’t make for a happy camper. The hairs on the back of Molly’s neck stood on end as Rikki appeared right in front of her, and she let out a very loud gasp. The reaction was immediate, though it was nothing more than a very light bop of her weapon.

Molly didn’t react as well as she hoped when startled sometimes…

Rikki scrunched up his face at the bop of her weapon, but didn't retreat. Instead he brought of of his blades up and lightly ran it down her cheek. "You're going to have to do better than that. C'mon, put some heart into it."

Molly’s skin was now crawling as the reaper trailed his blade up her cheek. The trainee’s immediate reaction was to jerk back, and in doing so, she also bopped him with her weapon again, this time a bit harder. None of the other students ever…creeped on her like this before…

“Stop touching me!”

She needed an adult.

"Now we're getting somewhere!" He said, backing up a little so he could swing his chains at her with a little more earnest. "Let's see what you can actually do, huh?"

Molly was glad her shield was taking the brunt of that damage right now…and she was also glad he was some distance away from her. Finally. Now that he was, she could get back into the swing of thins. With a frown, the trainee shifted her weapon and thrust it at the reaper. It jabbed him, and the green runes glowed brighter as her weapon hummed, signifying it was charged.

Rikki took the hit, but hung back to see what she would do. "Oh, intimidating," he mocked as her weapon began to glow. "Whatcha gonna do with it?"

If possible, Molly’s frown deepened, and though her weapon was charged and ready to go…she did nothing with it yet. Well, that wasn’t completely true. She thrust it at him again, but aside from that, she didn’t do anything else.

It just wasn’t the right time…

He tutted in disappointment and shook his head. "That wasn't very impressive." He wrapped his chained around his fist and used them as reinforcement as he dodged in with a punch aimed at her gut.

Molly had nothing to prove to this…this thing…but the desire to just get rid of him was great.

It also didn’t help he was getting in close, and Molly was a fighter that needed some distance between herself and her opponent. She let out a whimper as she was punched in the gut. Eager to get him away from her, Molly reached out and shoved him, though that wasn’t where the damage came from. Once he was far enough away, the trainee pulled her lance back and then took a step forward, piercing the reaper’s shield with a cry.

Rikki cried out a his shield was pierced. As he recovered he uncoiled his chains and twirled them through the air. "So you do have a little fight in you. Good to know."

He finally used his weapons in the long distance swipe they were meant for, bringing the blade down hard and fast across her shoulder.
