PROMPT  gaia_crown [ PROMPT 5: Moonday Meatloaf ] Your character totally helped themselves to the cafeteria's Moonday Meatloaf and now they are paying the price. Now to their eyes everything looks all blue skies and sunshine and rainbows and everyone else now look like majestic white unicorns, angels, ponies, adorable stuffed animals, and everything you hear them say sounds super cheerful and kind. The horror! They'll never be scary again!
Alas, no one had ever explained to a certain Cerberus that the food in the Creepateria was questionable. To say the least. So alas, as the nice people working there had offered an affordable meal that looked edible(he wasn't picky), he had happily accepted. Besides, turning people down made them sad, he didn't want that.
So as of this afternoon, he'd had a rather pleasant day. The sky was so bright, like something... something... he didn't recall. He just felt deja vu looking at it. And everyone was smiling, and bunnies, and... oh it was wonderful. He was on cloud nine as he strode along outside of the dorms. Right into a sparkling mirror. Because it shimmered with so many colors and he was curious.
Sadly that was not a mirror. It was a portal straight to a rather hostile area. One the young student knew little to nothing about. But that was fine. It was still a rather happy place even as he found himself before a sparkling white mansion. He couldn't help being curious about it as he ventured closer... closer...
And then he spotted it. A giant. Stuffed Bear. It was walking along with one hand pressed to it's chest. Was it hurting? Poor Mr. Bear.
And so, with that the boil started off toward the Hunter of a bear, the clatter of the chains on his wrist giving warning he was approaching as he drew closer, enough to peer curiously at Jake. "Yah hahrt?" Well, at least it was obvious that Aki had no intention to attack Jake, seeing as he hands were clutched behind his back as he leaned closer, worry etched on his face.

PROMPT [ Prompt 1: Something in the tea ] For some reason, the tea supply is really messed up today. Anyone who drinks any of the tea finds themselves able to extremely gullible into believing what others say
Sherry would have very easily agreed, on a normal day, that random foodstuffs were not a good idea. But no one had asked her. ... It was worth noting that TEA was not a random foodstuff, and she often had a cup or three of whatever blend(s) Deus had to offer. It was better than just plain water. She done just that earlier.
So, when someone had suggested that Haunted House Patrol was a good idea, Sherry had agreed readily. It had been so long since she'd been off the island at all that even this little jaunt, filled with danger as it might be, was worth the nice change of pace. The Life Trainee would have grabbed her things and headed straight off to see about getting in on that.
The best part was that if her and Jake had discussed it at all, she would have totally believed anything he said about being able to handle it, Chester or not.
BUT as she rounded that corner and caught site of one Jake not looking overly well, and one obviously not human close by, her mouth went dry. It didn't matter if the figure caused a faint twinge of recognition even at this angle, or that he didn't seem overly hostile, Sherry was worried.
"Jake. You ok?"

Hearing the rattling of chains, Jake looked up alarmed, and was about to pull out the daggers when a little voice inside him told him that was not a polite or gentlemanly thing to do, even if he were to be attacked by a vicious animal.
Go away little voice.
But against his better judgement, he decided not to attack, and only stared at the creature before him, who seemed to mention something about his... heart? Aw, how touching, the little thing was worried about him! And look how adorable he was, like a little puppy.
"No, no, I'm good. Thank you for asking."
He straightened, and turned his head at another voice, breaking into a grin when he saw who it was.
"Sherry! I'm ok, don't worry."

Aki, unfortunately, wasn't the best at sensing danger normally. He was even worse when the world was full of happiness. A teddy bear would NEVER hurt him, it was his friend. So even as the bear seemed to tense briefly, he merely smiled as he proceeded to look up and even thank him for his concern.
Oh, it really was a nice teddy bear. "Oh! Ahm glahd!" He might have said more, but another voice cut in which caused the bear to stand up straight instead of slumped. A lady this time, and as he turned to look his face was filled with such awe and amazement there was no end to it. So pretty, so elegant.
She had large angelic wings and a white shine to her that stood out even among all the brightness to the world. It was as if perfection had graced them all.
...wow the meatloaf was really kind to Sherry.
He glanced briefly at the bear as it spoke up again, briefly curious how stuffed things spoke, then back. So the two knew each other? Both were from some divine castle in the sky? Or maybe just the white mansion. Either way, this was good news. Such wondrous lands existed. Still, he had to be proper about this, he was meeting a talking teddy and an angel. Or maybe it was a Valkyrie. Either way. "Hahlo!" He chimed, waving a bit.

And then the unthinkable and the even more amazing and wonderful happened. The ghoul with wings looked at him, staring a moment before saying his name. Such a being knew him? It was almost enough to bring him to tears. He really did know the bes-
Wait... he didn't remember her though. Why didn't he remember someone like this angel? Her name was Sherry, he'd heard the bear say that but... he didn't recall her at all. He nodded a bit at the question. "Yeh." But still nothing seemed to click, there was a bit empty spot in his head, one he sometimes tried to go to, but nothing ever came of it. Which meant nothing came of trying to dig now even as she stood before him. Both ears fell sadly as the joy left his face to a degree.
He'd forgotten someone again. "Ah knahw yoh, yeh?" This obviously wasn't the first time, there was a sense of guilt that said he knew he knew them. Somehow. Even if he didn't remember.
And Jake? He hadn't forgotten about Jake, that comment he made only made him feel worse. He was a horrible, terrible, bad dog for forgetting such nice people. And teddy bears. He made a note not to forget anyone.
Oh Sherry. He was sorry. So very sorry.

It was Aki, and though his speech seemed a little clearer, maybe, his odd accent was still a bit thick. A moment of thought about that and another about Jake's use of the word charming in a surprisingly non-sarcastic way...
Sherry blinked at both of the boys. It was hard to tell from Jake's reaction if he remembered Aki, but it appeared from the youngster's that he didn't remember her. Story of her life. But she smiled. It wasn't his fault, really. That place had played with everyone's memories.
"Yeah." She nodded. "We met for a short time, as shadows." The pup (she clearly noted something canine about him) looked very sad, and Sherry's heart twinged a little. She really shouldn't feel bad for him, being from Halloween and all, but she did. He was really nice, ok. And it wasn't like Jake was being hostile. "Jake was there, too. But it's ok, that place made Jake forget a lot of things, too."

The improvement wasn't much, but having to talk to creeple each day to survive was helping. As did classes. Just... it was best that didn't ask him to read or write anything.
He was still dwelling on having found more he forgot(which was a lot he'd come to realize) when the smile managed to get him to brighten up a bit, followed by her words. He wasn't the only one? Some shadows thing had done it? "Shadah?" He chimed, pausing as the teddy bear spoke up at that point, who's name was Jake he had now learned.
He held up both hands at that point, shaking his head soundly as the bear was being so kind as to apologize now. "Ah nah... ah fahrgeh ahs wehll..." He stated slowly, offering a smile at that point. "Ahm glahd ah cehn seh yeh agehn! Shereh, Jehk." He added, looking between the pair. He was really glad, they were both nice creeple, and it meant patching up the holes. "Soreh ah fahrgeh..." He added after a moment, bowing his head slowly. It was his fault after all. Even if some place had messed with this. "Ah fahrgeh ah laht et sehms."

Jake was given a skeptical look, not because she didn't believe him, but because he was still being so darn nice. But she nodded at both of them, slowly, while Aki confirmed his statement, more or less. If Jake had seemed hurt it should be cause for worry, on a normal day, but he'd said he was alright. He even looked rather happy about it.
"A mirror? No," Sherry gave her head a small shake, speaking slowly. "We came through a portal from our home. What are you doing here, Aki?" It seemed a valid question to ask. She knew why she and Jake were there. Patrols. But dear, sweet Aki?
