Something I have always loved since the beginning of the internets is usernames!! Usernames that make me laugh, usernames that gross me out, usernames that demand respect..... there are all kinds. One of the most memorable usernames I can think of right now was: IPeeOnYourPoop, disgusting I know, what was hilarious about this is it was a player on Halo who's emblem looked like a toilet with......well....you know. I love simple and respectful names that give me a mental image, like karate chop kitten. I had a friend who's username was ReeferMadness based on the most original anti-drug campain My question is, what is the story behind YOUR username? Is there a story? Or did you just make it up in a flash, or think real hard on it? Here is my story. My first username was angiela##, generated by my first email address evar. I started with that then I realized that I could have something cooler. I created the username WonderGirl. Eh...it's really not that cool, but I decided to go with some kind of fictional name. I used that for about 2 years before online friends simply started calling me Wonder. (see where this is going?) When my friends and I stared on Gaia in 2004 there was one friend who kept making plays on my username. The first one I liked was Oneder, so silly, but he kept coming up with different things. Back in the day the term pwnd was new and during a conversation with friends he used the term Pwnder (Wonder =Oneder=Pwnder) I rolled with laughter and just out of good fun I changed my username on Gaia to Pwnder and responded. That was the last time I could change my username for free, after that I had to have like 10,000g. Well, back in the day 10,000 wasn't easy to come by......so..........it stuck. If you see this username anywhere, it's probably me cool

Oooooooh....this is fun and what a great story with YOUR username. I've often wondered and now well....I don't have to wonder anymore!
As for me, my husband and I have been on Gaia for a while too, and used to RP as Xander and Anya from the Buffyverse. LOL. He was Xanderlicious and I was Anya - Working Gal. rofl
Well, we grew up a little (just a little, mind you) and didn't have time for all that, so he became user R8DX (Rated X) and I left Anya behind for a new main account, Roxy LeRoux. Anyhoo...this was just a mule account named "Little Miss Incognito" until hubby and I were being silly and somehow came up with Madame X (to match his R8DX), but I revised it a bit and I've been Madame Xiva ever since. biggrin

It's funny how things fall into place where usernames are concerned. I've noticed that they tend to evolve sometimes. I could be willful or the result of banning, duplicate accounts, or flashes of inspiration. I've had several, which include my mules, but I've had this account since the beginning and changed the name only a couple of times. I could not use my previous names on mules I found out later, so Oneder and WonderGirl are lost in the "too similar" black hole of Gaia. My boys made their usernames similar to each other so they could play on Xbox or Minecraft or Roblox, whatever it may be. I'm sure they will keep the same usernames for a very long time too.

Well, long story short, the name was just something I randomly chose to use. The name Princess Zelda was chosen because she is my favorite Nintendo character. The number 21 part was selected because at the time my brother had used it for his little league baseball uniform number at the time, as far as I recall. This account had been made sometime after my first got hacked by some fake Gaia look-alike site, and apparently I haven't gotten it back. Which is why I stuck with this one ever since. That's pretty much it, I guess.

I was originally Librika. Don't know where that came from or anything. Changed my name, to something I no longer remember. The to this one
How did I get this one? Tradewinds Legends and Tradewinds Legends Unlikely Heroes has various ship names. One is Kitalpha. Hence that part. Hart? I think I was working on Kit as an OC, which is a story on itself, and so needed a last name. Not sure where I got the idea for Hart, but it worked, obv
My alt, Shannon Kyra Liannanon...I don't even fully remember. Shannon is a namesake Kyra because I tossed it around before. Not sure as to the Liannanon part, which is shortened to Lianna, her nickname. Been too long, and my memory's not the best x.x

During my earlier online years, I had a habit of being tightly reserved about my personal identity, keeping myself mysteriously shadowed xD So, my initial username was then "mystwyze" --- playing on the words of "mysterious" and "wise" =P
Then Digimon became a hit. I was so attached to Agumon's rookie stage, Koromon, which ended up with me changing my username to a fusion of Koromon and my old username xD Thus, "Koromyst" was born! (^O^)
It has been my username ever since. Especially when it's always available to use when signing up at various sites xP However, now I don't feel so unique as I've noticed (through Googling about myself hehehe...) that there are others out there using this name =P But yeah... most of the results were about me since I was the one using it first I think xD

The story of how I got my username isn't the most exciting... XD A little over four years ago I was registering on Gaia and the first thing that ever came to mind was the name of our new puppy, Kiah. I'm pretty horrible with names, which basically lead to Kiahpup, and it's stayed that way ever since, with people just calling me Kiah. I... do sometimes wonder if people think it's strange when I tell them the names of my dogs, but I've gotten so used to my username that I don't think I could ever change it... sweatdrop

I don't care who says what, Zelda will kick Peach's butt any day!!! Have you played Skyward Sword? I'm really not sure how I feel about the 25th anniversary release........well that is not true...I'm extremely disappointed in it. There was quite a lot of dialouge in Skyward Sword that you can't skip through, also there is a lot in that game that take little from previous games too. Just did not feel the same....

I just have a curiosity of what is behind them all rofl

Ah, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to play Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword yet! I've played Twilight Princess though on Gamecube and a few of the other older ones. One of these days I'm hoping to. The legend of Skyloft just sounds so neat! Even the manga story about it really drew me in! Any time I play Super Smash Bros. Melee, more often I'll pick Princess Zelda right away. Such a great character. ^_^*

What's especially funny is that I didn't really even see the evolution of my own user name until I sat down and thought about it with thread. The names are intertwined in their own way, and we sometimes follow that path without even realizing it. But once I traced it back, it made perfect sense that my username was just an evolution along the way. What a great thread!
