During the Day Of Silence?
I managed to stay off for almost 24hours straight but Sunday night, around 10-ish, I was curious about what the Users Online count would be so I logged on for a second just to see the counter.
Over 17,000 people were online! I felt so disheartened, it was like our protest barely made a speck.
We definitely need to spread out the message more!

Not to mention Pokemon XY was released this weekend. xD
Anyway, I was talking to someone just now and he suggested going silent for the Black Friday sales. That it would make a bigger impact. I for one, greatly agree.
My only concern is that the Revolution will lose steam by then and the turn-out would be really depressing. :/ --- On another note, we need to make more of a public presence! If people don't know we exist, they won't know that there are so many people out there that share the pain.
So I have been thinking, we ought to make a thread or two in the more popular forums. >>For one, I'd like to build on Fate's 30-Day Charity but maybe change the rules a bit. I was thinking perhaps of just giving out non-GC avatars with a cap of maybe 100k total. The form for those interested in a donation would be to describe their "sob story." It might be sympathy for our plight, it might be that they're new and are trying hard to have fun here, or might be that they were hacked. It could be any number of things, really. As for funds, I have 10 mil that I probably won't be able to purchase my quest item with. lol >>Another thing I was thinking of was a Hangout thread in CB. Anyone could come in and chat, rant, etc. Maybe we could hold the occasional contest or something. >>Lastly, I was thinking of having constant presence in the event forums. It could be an extension of the Hangout thread, even. Anyone can come in and chat, maybe we could have a little event guide closed within, an art corner.
I would host some myself but I have very little time to spend online because of work. :T I'd love to mod, though.

It isn't the length of time you are on, it's checking in at all that gets you counted. I doubt we made much impact on the first try, but assume this will be a regular thing and perhaps then we can make a difference. What I have noticed is the avis with SOS signs, and there have been quite a few. They need to be ni the hands of people who are visible in forums and flash spaces, and hopefully can explain what it means or direct people here to the guild.

Another way to make an impact, post in related threads. Links on where Gaia went wrongIt would help if we keep useful threads on page 1 of their forums, and one petition is close to achieving popular status, only needs a few more votes.

It takes time. We just have to keep trying, compounded with everything else we're doing (threads, avis, signatures, etc.) The more we work on this, the more people will join, and the more of an impact we'll make.
We can certainly not expect changes overnight. Expect to spend about two months worth of Sundays off before we see changes take effect.
