A shower of bb pellets soared up into the air, fired at the acceptance bin ; which, upon eating up a particular application, grew powerful wings and began to fly haphazardly around the room, desperate to get away. A burly looking gnome with a long, impressive beard was called in with his bb gun to try and shoot it down, but the bin was fast, dodging the pellets as they came along. They embedded themselves in the ceiling with each shot.
"Stop, stop! You'll hurt the poor thing if you keep shooting it down!" Selene tried desperately to appeal to the lumberjack of a gnome, but each time she begged, he cocked his gun and fired another round.
"Stay back ma'am, I ain't never let a prey get away, and I ain't startin' today!" He aimed another round, unaware that his lapse in attention left him exposed.
Mighty talons emerged from the acceptance bin, grabbing onto the little gnome and carting him up into the air. The door opened from the outside as more gnomes came to help, and the acceptance bin flew away with it's prey, possibly to feed the gnome to some tiny little staplers in a nest nearby.
Natural Ability: Zephyr - Allowing a harpy to move through the air, unseen, until the target location is found. A harpy's natural ability only activates when they decide it to, but it can only be done when flying. Typically it can last up to two to three minutes, and gets longer as a harpy matures. Locations can be anywhere, as long as the harpy can get there within the time limit of their ability, have been there before OR have a vivid description/directions of where they are going.
Personality: Brave: Alex is a brave soul, willing to risk talon and feather for what he feels is right. Combined with his dependable trait, you have a friend who not only has your back, but will travel to the dark side of the moon and back to make sure that you're safe.
Dependable: If Alexis says he's going to do something, then by jove he's going to do it. Even if it ends up not so, erm, well on his behalf. As a friend, he is solid as a rock (though thin as wind?) and willing to support anyone in their need.
Caring: He really cares for his friends. This plays in with dependable. If there's a chance to help someone, he will do it in a heart beat. He really makes sure everyone is okay and tries to be positive towards other as much as he can!
Not so Smart: Well, he... He just isn't that clever of a fellow. Jokes often fly over his head and academics are really not his strong point. He has difficulties deciphering hidden meanings in words and sentences. He's not completely without hope. The kid does have a head on his shoulder, but after being repetitively told he's an idiot he just doesn't try any longer.
Overly Ambitious: Maybe it wasn't a good idea to challenge the first chair of the flying club to a race when your wing is sprained and you didn't practice. Or... hell why not? Alexis has a hard time turning down a challenge or postponing giving one. He is highly competitive, and this can lead to some strife among friends. Often he finds himself rivals with others... Though they might not even realize the status!
Lonely Perhaps a little odd to consider this a trait, but Alex is pretty lonely. He has had a lonely childhood. Limited friends, little positive interaction with others, and no outside contact has left him hungry for friendship. When he is not around friends, or something bad has happened with his friends, he will immediately become down in the dumps and very upset.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Quite frankly, Momma and Poppa harpy were sick of their dumb son not trying to be the best zues messenger he could be. They figured shoving him in Amityville would not only make him a better messenger, but just a better monster. It was part hope, and part needing a darn break from the knuckle-head.
Alex was and is a bit resistant to the idea, but finds the freedom he now has to be a breath of fresh air (*badump CHHH*). No more parents breathing down your neck. No more cousins making fun of you. It is a mixed bag, but overall Alex is happy.

Air being the element of the Zephyr family, manipulating it into blades isn't nearly as hard as it seems. They aren't too strong, but they will cut you up bro
Mother was born of a prestigious family of Harpy. It is her eyes and hair that Alexis inherited. As a female, her job is mainly to deliver news and positive winds of change to females. Carissa and Alexis are not on the best terms. Always a bit standoffish with one another, Carissa views her son as worthless and hardly has a positive thing to say about the boy.
Father || Vincente Zephyr
Father's family has been closely connected to Zeus for many generations. It is his body size, color, and facial features that Alexis inherited. Since he is close to Zues, Vincente mostly runs notices from other deities to Zeus and back and forth. Pretty prestigious, huh? Well, that's just the job title. He's mostly a glorified post man. Alexis and Vincente are closer than Clarissa and Alexis, but not much honestly. The two train and take on missions together, but the general gist is that it is so Alexis can become self sufficient.
Siblings || "The Flock" Zephyr
Like birds, Harpy's tend to have clutches of eggs at a time. Before Alexis' group there was two hatches. So Alex has a lot, and I mean a LOT, of sibs. Most of them are refined and good members of society. Alexis' clutch had five other siblings, and Alex couldn't care less about their doings. Most of the siblings hate Alexis as a black sheep. Those that are nicer to him are mostly gone and busy so really he just groups them all into one group of "people who are related to me by one half".

Alex raised Nat from a tiny chick. He is one of a kind. Nat is a bit of a trouble maker and enjoys stealing shiny things to hoard in one of Alex's cubbys. Yeah it... It can lead to some interesting situations.
SEAKES - Emily
Emily is very adorable and sweet. She is just about as old as Nat. Alex found her on a trip with his father and carried her back. Carissa disapproved of the Seakes, but finally accepted that Alexis wasn't going to be cowed out of keeping her. Emily is a lover, not a fighter, and likes to snuggle.
BATLING - Liss
Liss is one of Alexis' closer familiars (pets). Liss traveled mostly on work, being useful in tough situations. Because of all that interaction, the little Batling was able to ascend. Liss is all business and doesnt much care for socialization. A loner at heart, if you get to know her Liss might give you some affection.
CORRIVIDUS - ASCENDED - Old Christoph
Christoph is actually Vincente's working buddy. Like Liss, through prolonged interaction the Corrividus was able to ascend. Chris is old, much older than the other pets, and very moody. He dislikes being there, but Vincente put the Corrividus in charge of observing and watching Alexis, and watch he will. While Chris rarely ever leaves the room, Alex always feels like the crow is present and watching.
FURFOX - WHITE RABBIT - Bun
Bun appeared the night after Alex came back to school. H was just sitting there, with a little note about taking care of him. It freaked the harpy out at first, but he's been feeding, and playing with him nightly. So they have grown rather attached.
