There is only one religion that I can think of that someone would use the Great Rite to test whether or not someone is a member of this religion. If someone of claims to be a Wiccan, I will often ask what they make of the Great Rite and when the last time they preformed it was and what its relevance is.
I would like you to contextualise this "flaming".

I would ask the guild mods to leave this thread as is, as I have reported the user to the admins and would like a clear and concise trail that they can follow.

That's nice. I, by the 161 rules of Wicca and the Sacred Rite of Initiation, am entitled to demand this.

You know what, I was going to leave the above post as it was. But I forgot something. This may not be M&R but the same spirit applies here due to this guild's nature. This is a rehab guild, the aim is to combat fluffbunnyism. Claiming that you are a Wiccan, without being willing to back this up with any kind of scholarly evidence, proof of understanding of the religion or knowledge of the ins and outs of the rituals is *drumroll* FLUFFBUNNYISM

I will not apologise for correcting people who, when they display fundamentally flawed understanding of Wicca, claim to be Wiccan. I certainly won't accept abusive pms from people because they've decided that people's "beliefs" are above reproach. Drop the ******** persecution complexes people. I'm not out to get you, I'm not out to say that your path is spiritually invalid, just that they're not Wiccan.

I do think you were a little rude but I tend to read into posts. sweatdrop I would like to know where in the 161 rules its says your entitled to demand though. I read them, and I couldn't find it. After I have researched them thoroughly I might even answer your questions.
