Elegance Bar and Restaurant

This restaurant looks shabby in appearance, but the lights make the best of it. Regardless of the exterior it has a friendly and inspiring atmosphere.

a naive handmaiden

Memel seemed to be very lost.

She had been trying to do something nice for Luna, which was a very common thing for her. In her excitement she had journeyed outside of the headquarters alone. She had walked for quite a while trying to find something familiar, but all she could find was the building in front of her.

In a confused frenzy Memel entered the rundown building in front of her, not knowing what she would find inside. What she found was a bar filled with people, all of which seemed to be lights. Since she did not usually leave the headquarters alone, she wasn't exactly sure how to act in such a setting. Awkwardly, she approached and sat at the bar. She did not say anything and stared at the counter instead, quite lost. She was oblivious to the looks from others in the bar, focusing instead of her current situation.

Fain led the way through the Light Haven. Even though he had just recently snacked, that had been afternoon tea (minus the tea) and now it was dinner time. He licked his lips in anticipation of eating one of the inns dinners. That aside, the main reason he was heading there was that Memel tended to act like a lost sheep in his opinion. She had a bad habit of ending up in a wolf den not that anyone would hurt her. She would just wander around till she found somewhere a little inviting and enter in. This led to many rescue missions and a talk of assigning the handmaiden a personal guard/navigator.
I should just train a dog for her... He sighed wondering why he hadn't thought of that sooner. They soon came to the entrance stopping and allowing a second of rest before entering.

Luna followed Fain into the bar, regaining her regal movements she had been taught by the Council to use as a child. She glanced around the bar, a polite smile and wave to a few of her followers, and then looked to the bar. "Memel!" Relief crept into her voice and she practically ran to her side, moving some hair out of her eyes and checking her over. "There you are! Are you ok? You're not hurt? Where have you been, you've had me so worried! Did you get lost again? I really ought to get you a guide. Are you even old enough to drink?" Luna finally stopped and blushed. She always got very protective over Memel, treating her as her own child, since she didn't have any of her own. She knew she wasn't a child, but sometimes....

Memel continued to stand by the bar, at loss of what to do with herself. She felt she was often more trouble than she was worth, honestly. Every time she tried to do something for herself she seemed to end up causing more chaos than than help.

Memel wiped away a lone tear, emotional from her journey. It was times like this that made her unsure why the Light Leader had even found her. As she thought this, a voice rang through the building. Memel spun around and stared at the woman in disbelief. She gulped down the emotion she had been feeling and smiled at Luna, noting that Fain seemed to be along with her. Fain had always been nice to Memel as well, and she was glad he had come along. "I am okay. I just got lost again. I-I was trying to get you something nice..." She blushed as she said this, looking down at her toes in embarrassment. She really couldn't believe that Luna had come to search for her again. "A-Am I old enough to drink? What does that have to do with anything?" She asked, a bewildered expression on her face. She was thoroughly unaware that the building she was in was a bar, from lack of prior experiences with them. Luna had often kept her protected and not let her out into the town like this.

Fain followed smoothly behind Luna as they entered the inn. He glanced around looking for the missing person, finding her at the same time as Luna. He watched amused as Luna rushed over and started her mother hen act. Chuckling he slide over and patted Memel on the head.
"Glad you're alright. Don't worry you can help me train a pet to guide you around, but that aside we were going to have a day off from work and wanted to invite you."
Glancing around Fain soaked in the inviting atmosphere of the inn,
"It seems like you found the perfect spot. Good job!"
He smiled down at the girl hoping to raise her spirits little. Turning towards Luna, he gave a reassuring smile,
"Old enough to drink? You're worried about that Luna! If she can hold her drink, it should be fine. Besides, I'm sure she curious, and it's better if she has her first drink here with us."
He looked around the room taking note of the numerous people around,
"Though we could have a picnic somewhere else too."

Jacobi entered the bar, the small wolf plush still poking its head out of the pouch on his belt. He took in the lively atmosphere of the bar and noted the number of patrons. This could be a decent place to suit at least some of his needs to indulge.

He walked up to the bar and tried to get the busy barmaid's attention. As he waited, he looked around and took note of the people around in more detail. More specifically, there was a fairly choice group of people down the bar who seemed to be together. At least one girl looked rather cute, though he couldn't make out the details of the other so clearly. However, what he was most struck by was the stunning-looking man they were with.

After getting his hands on a nice mug of ale, Jacobi worked his way through the crowd, approaching the group, trying not to look too deliberate or direct.

The dhampyr managed to find his way next to the attractive young man, though he settled in a position so he wasn't plainly looking at him. Jacobi took a sip of his drink.

"Well, hello there, come here often?" He asked, trying to be as smooth as he could manage. Admittedly, pickup lines were not his strongest suit.

Fain was half-listening to the girls small talk as he waited for the bartender to hand him an order of sweet wine for Memel to try. He drummed his fingers on the wooden counter patiently waiting when a deep voice spoke next to him.

He turned with a curious expression towards the voice. There was another well-built man sipping on some ale casually. The scar across his face atoned for his skill in battle and strength. He smiled slyly at the other man,
"Of course, they serve the best food that one can find underground that doesn't involve grubs or worms."
He tilted his head in thought,
"I don't recognize you, are you-" He paused his eyes widened noticing a stuffed, fluffy toy sticking out of the man's bag. He rushed over leaving the girls alone as he tried to get a better look.
"Is this yours?" He gestured towards the wolf; his eyes and tone a little desperately.

Jacobi smirked a little as it seemed his ploy to get the man's attention had worked. It wasn't much, but at least it managed to start a conversation.

Suddenly, everything went in a radically different direction than he expected as the man took note of the stuffed wolf he had with him. Jacobi had heard that dogs could help pick up potential partners, but he was pretty sure this was not what they meant.

Jacobi took another drink before answering, "No, I found it on the street outside..." He said, a little confused, "Is it yours?"

He looked up at the man's face trying to read his expression. Sighing, disappointment clearly on his face at the man's answer. He looked over the man's shoulder as a small grey speckled dove landed on it. The bird started tweeting to Fain, who stared straight intently. With a grim expression, he ran his hand through his hair before nodding his head in a decision. Looking at the new man, he smiled apologetically.
"I'm sorry. I would love to talk more, but something important has come up." He glanced over his shoulder at Memel and Luna, who were still conversing oblivious to his departure. He didn't like leaving them alone.
"If you could do me a favor and escort those girls around, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll do you, a favor in the future." He smiled hopefully,
"Just tell them, Fain, knows you and sent you." He patted the man's back before running out with the bird leading the way.

How disappointing, it seemed the mysterious, white-haired beauty had to leave. Oh, well, there were plenty of other opportunities which presented themselves in the immediate area. Jacobi was resourceful enough not to spend the night alone, especially since he was being assigned to two girls.

"Oh, I can definitely do that." He replied to Fain's request before sidling over nearer to the women.

This man was certainly putting a lot of trust in a complete stranger. For all he knew, Jacobi could be a vampire, or a killer, or a pervert, or a psychopath. Thankfully he wasn't... Well, he wasn't one of those things, anyway.

In the back of his head, he had to wonder what it was about the wolf that made the man react in such a way, but that was not a priority right now.

"Good evening." The dhampyr said, turning his attention to the two ladies at the bar.

Luna saw Fain walk away to speak to someone out of the corner of her eye, but her attention was too focused on Memel. "I suppose you are old enough and all... I'm sorry. Just try not to wander off, ok? Fain can be sure to train someone for you, that will be ideal, yes..." She sighed. "You know, Memel, you don't ever need to get me anything. You already serve me." She smiled armly and then was startled by a voice beside her. She turned to see Fain leaving, and another man beside her. She turned the switch in her mind to Leader again, and gave him a head nod. "Good evening, sire." She was unsure how to proceed as she did not know him, and as the true heir, she had to be wary. She decided to wait for him to further introduce himself first. She stood behind Memel, a protective hand on her shoulder.

Memel sighed as Luna lectured her yet again for wandering outside of the headquarters. The leader of the light insisted time and time again that nothing besides her servitude was necessary, but Memel knew better. She was a burden upon the woman, even when she was trying to be of use. "I am sorry." She apologized, meeting the leaders gaze with sad eyes.

At the sound of another man's voice, Memel jumped slightly. She looked up at the man near her with wide, childlike eyes. Unsure what to say to the stranger, she gave a small smile. "Good evening!" She said, not quite her usual cheerful self. She was still feeling down about the situation at hand, and she would be until she could be distracted from her mistakes.

Jacobi smirked as he swirled his mug around in front of him. Now, he had both girls' attention, where to go from there? Right, there was supposed to be another step to this.

He took another sip, then set his drink down on the bar, leaning in a little closer as he spoke.

"So, what are a couple of cute girls like you doing in a place like this?" He asked, jovially. He smiled wide as he asked this.

Admittedly, this was a line that could be taken a lot of ways, but Jacobi just decided to rely on his natural charm to see him through this one.

The man set off some alarm bells in Luna, a sense of hunger emanating from him. She couldn't quite place it, but she didn't sense any immediate danger, either. Besides, he clearly had no idea who she was. She smiled at him and chuckled slightly. She decided to ignore the flirty tone of his voice. "Like us? Well, I actually come here fairly often to gather my followers, creating Recruitment parties, meeting with my people..." she smiled at him, waiting for it to sink in a little more. "So, since you're in the Light Safe Haven, you must be one of those people. You are....?" She waited for his name.
