9th Anniversary Character Creation Contest

Almost every half-dedicated gamer has at least one model in their army with a name, a personal touch with a story. Time to do this hero justice, and write him up as a Character! Put his or her name alongside heroes or villains like Yarrick, Eldrad, Ghazghul, Abaddon, Old One Eye, and all the rest. As with all contest entries, a submitted entry in any category will earn you one ticket for the Anniversary Raffle.

When do you stop taking entries?

The cutoff for entries is midnight on the night of Friday, 13 September. The poll will run from Saturday, 14 September through midnight on the night of Monday, 16 September. Results from both the judged entries and poll entry will be posted on Tuesday, 17 September.

Wargear- Artificer Armor, Frag and Krak Grenades, Iron Halo, Stormshield, Jump-Pack, Digital Weapons, Power Weapon(Axe),and Storm Bolter.

Backstory- Ramiel rose to his station following the Third Tyrannic War, in which he and his brothers would fight upon the doomed forge world of Gryphonne IV. When the Company Master overseeing the deployment fell to the bone blades of a Tyranid Hive Tyrant, It was Ramiel who stepped up to lead the Dark Angels in their defense. Ramiel took to the skies with a squad of assault marines, striking everywhere the Tyranid lines were weak, even as he ordered a strategic fallback to the nearest defendable posistion, a small spaceport. There Ramiel led the Dark Angels as they staunchly held off wave after wave of Tyranids as civilians evacuated. Only when every civilian was safe, and the Company Master's body recovered, did Ramiel begin withdrawing his troops from the surface of Gryphonne IV. When the host of Dark Angels returned to the Rock, Ramiel was presented with a suit of artificer armor and a mighty Stormshield. He was inducted into the Inner Circle and granted command of Strike Force Malkavian. He was then sent out to hunt and destroy the Tyranids, wherever they raise their vile heads.

Aura of Discipline: Any friendly unit within 6” of the Lord Commissar may use his leadership of 10 for Morale and Pinning tests as well as leadership tests.

Eternal Warrior: A model with this special rule is immune to the effects of Instant Death.

Stubborn: Units with this special rule may ignore negative modifiers for morale and pinning tests.

Summary Execution: If the Commissar’s unit fails a Morale test the Commissar will summarily execute the squad’s current commander - this is the model in the squad with the highest leadership value.

Sword of Vengeance: While the Sword of Vengeance might look like an unassuming and simple looking blade, it is in fact a powerful, ancient and revered relic that has been passed down from commissar to commissar over the ages. It is said that the hands of its previous owners all help guide the hand of the current wielder, allowing the sword to always find a way past the blades and armour of the enemy and always landing a decisive killing blow.

The Sword of Vengeance counts as a master-crafted power sword that will always hit on a 3+, regardless of opposing Weapon Skill.

Originally sister superior of the squad of Sororitas escorting pilgrims onboard pilgrimage liner "Faith Eternal", she was sole survivor of genestealer outbreak after

departing Ichar IV not long before the famous battle with Hive Fleet Kraken. With squadmates all slain, and most of the passengers infected, she scuttled the ship

and evacuated herself in escape pod. Rescued by salvager crew, she returned to Ichar IV to lend her knowledge of battling insidious Xenos. She has become

eventually leader of the Sororitas forces in the campaign. In the aftermath of the battle, she comandeered frigate "Nostromo" and followed one of the splinter fleet

into the void, leaving only message "Fate of Terra is at stake. We do what we must."...

Zelots to their Masters, Hry'drask and the Mother Broken, the Chirurgeon-witch channels their wills and makes them so. Once per turn, the Chirurgeon-witch can select a single model from the squad he is attached and roll 1D6. See chart below.

Roll 1D6, Result:
1 - Their will is too great for this one to bear, killing him.
2-3 - Their favor does not grace this one, leaving him as he was.
4-5 - You are reborn, chaos spawn!
6 - The spirit of The Broken fills this one but it is too much, causing the warp energies to erupt forth. Units who die this way explode using the Vortex grenade rules and templent per WH40K standard rules.

Mark of The Broken:
Having attained the favour of the Broken, Matriarch Goddess of the warband The Wronged, the Chirurgeon-witch gains benefits from the mixtures of magical powers and, therefore, gains powers from all four other Chaos Gods Marks (Khorne +1 attack, Tzeentch +1 to invulnerable save, Nurgle +1 toughness and Slaanesh +1 initiative). Having been proven, the blessings of his Goddess protect him from the Instant Death rule.

History/Flufff:
A former techmarine in the service of the Emperor, his name, much like his life and former chapter, has long since been lost to the warp. Clad in a deep purple habit and baring the marks of The Wronged and their goddess, the Broken, the Chirurgeon-witch now lives a zealots life in the name of his new masters.
