You know.. I really couldn't decide whether I wanted to put this thread in the 'Life Issues' subforum or the Girls subforum so I decided to put it here because it's leaning more to the rant-ish side. Would you like to know something that irritates me so much? I absolutely HATE it when I happen to tell someone that I'm bisexual and then a person in my class just starts pointing out people and asking, "Oh, so you like them?" Yes, I'm Bisexual. No, I will not date you. Could I scream it on the top of my lungs or even put it in bold caps to convey how much anger I want to put into my answer? I honestly don't know what to label myself for I believe I'm bisexual, but I'm not about learning to love someone through their looks. I mean, looks are nice once you finally get to know someone, but c'mon now.. Is that just a self standard or am I confusing myself with pan sexuality? I don't mean to offend anyone in general when I say this, but I COULD NEVER see myself with a transgender. I honestly don't know what to tell people who I am because honestly it'll be seen as "Attention-whore" or "slutty" in general. "Oh, so you're lesbian?" In my mind it can be easily seen as lesbians as sluts.. you hear so many stories and just ugh.. In a sense I'm just overly uncomfortable with the idea sex in general. My friend Maleik who's homosexual touches me in which I have really never gotten touched by a male like that ever sort of disgusts me. It's too casual for my taste and I hate it. I need to be in a relationship really to be touched. Let's just say I don't get touched very often and I'm surprised when I do. Anyhow, what are your pet peeves about sexuality and such?

When other people automatically assume, because I am pansexual, that I like everyone cat_neutral Or I like them just if they're nice. That's not how it is. I have certain standards for how they treat me and how they function, their personality... etc. Or they can't grasp the fact I pay no attention to looks / sexual identity.
I apologize in advance if you do not believe in pansexuality. But it seems you may be pansexual in a teensy weensy sense. cat_sweatdrop

Like you girls - I get pissed off having to explain to potential friends that no, just because I like girls does not mean I want to jump into your pants. I'm a demi-sexual lesbian...or that's the best I can do to describe my orientation. Personally, I don't care if the person is trans, a woman is a woman is a woman, whether they're born that way physically or not. :3
I am a romantic, but it takes me forever to be sexually attracted to anybody, and it's normally only through a close bond or extended relationship when I'll even start to think about wanting to sleep with anybody. Hence the reason I get ticked off at the people who automatically assume that I want to sleep with them when I tell them about my orientation. *facepalms*
THAT SAID, like the majority of the human species, I have the odd celebrity crush (Amber from F(x), Janelle Monae, Haley Williams) or I can see somebody good looking in the street and think, hot daym, I can't decide if I want to be you, or be on you.... >.>
Pan-sexuality means you like whatever a person is, identifies as and presents as - so basically the gender and orientation of your partner doesn't matter in the slightest so long as you like them. So I don't think that Haunting Paranoia is actually Pan-sexual, she did say she was bi, and at the end of the day though, she's the one who'll assign herself an orientation. It's not for us to decided.
I guess that's the other thing that irritates me about sexuality is the fact that we have to label ourselves and others so that we can sort of figure them out. I want to be known as myself, not as what I want to do with my future partners beneath the sheets.

In my perspective of things, your sexuality is what you want it to be; if you think you're bisexual, then you are, if you think you're pansexual, you are, if you think you're demisexual, you are, straight, you think it you are, etc.
I consider myself to be pansexual, why? Because I don't care about age, race, looks, or anything of that sort. Now want to know the special? I don't fall in love with women, I see a hot guy or girl I'll announce it, but I'm still pansexual. Again, why? Because I actually fall in love based solely on personality. "I thought you don't fall in love with women?" Well no, I don't, because of personality and I guess no woman's personality catches whatever taste I have, or maybe it's because I want to have my own children in the future from my husband so I don't fall in love with women, I don't know. There are women I have celebrity crushes on myself too, P!nk mainly. I love her hair, her style, her personality, her songs, her voice, her need to be her and no one else; I feel me and her would be best friends ( at least ) if we knew each other. But other than her, not really attracted to any other women.
Though, no one has ever called me a slut or anything because I'm pansexual, that's never happened to me. I am known to fall for people quickly, but I'm not stupid about it, I do wait and see before I even bring it up just in case, and then half the time I end up realizing it was a crush because that man is actually a d**k. xD I've got my one man right now, we've been dating for a year, and we're happily in love; we're both pansexual, though he's a little bit more than I am, and we're happily in love. Neither of us are sluts, or whatever just because we're this sexuality. Just because one person is something, and happens to be this or that, does not mean everyone that is this or that is also that something.

well, i'm at the stage in my life where i want to experiment. just like, how would it be to just kiss a girl? you know? my friend harper is bisexual also, and like if i were to have some need for some girl to girl action, then holla at her.
what i don't really like about sexuality is the fact that when you talk about masturbation and porn as if it's taboo, as if the people shunning it don't do it. psh, dat porn. i have my preferences, so obvs i won't just fap to whatever, but it's just the negative connotation that goes along with masturbation that irks me,

I feel your pain on the bisexual thing, I identify as that too. my main peeve about it is that people at either end(by end I mean straight or gay/lesbian/what-have-you) always try and brush it off. I get a lot of "oh you're just straight/lesbian and just don't know yet" from EVERYONE and it really ticks me off. or they'll learn some traits I have and automatically assume i'm really a lesbian even based on the way I dress. seriously, I've walked into classrooms and people have assumed I like strictly girls, it bugs the hell out of me. it's like....either you're just testing the waters/reluctant to come out, or you automatically like and will sleep with anyone because you like both genders and really that's not how it works at all
.....doesn't help that i'm the only virgin in my group of friends either so to everyone else i'm not only indecisive, but either a challenge or a "good girl who's saving herself" and it just bugs the hell out of me that people will jump to those kinds of conclusions based on what a person labels themselves in terms of their sexual orientation.............okay, there, i'm done for the moment

I call myself a bisexual lesbian for the sake of giving other a title to what I am. I'm only physically attracted to guys. I've never really been sexually attracted to a guy the way I am to a girl. I can see myself in a romantic relationship with both guys and girls though. I'm not particularly interested in having sex with people, but if it came down to it, I would go all the way with a girl than with a guy... confused

My biggest pet peeve is when my mother says that I have to "decide" what sexuality I am. No one has to decide anything, they just have to figure it out. The thing is that I am attracted to girls and MTFs and I'm not sure what to call it and people automatically assume that you are just confused if you don't choose a label.
