well, i am in one right now. i met him on here actually due to a mutual hate on a person.
almost one year, so i'm excited emotion_bigheart he's visiting me in three months c:
he is legitimately the most wonderful guy i have ever acquainted myself with, but he doesn't believe it, and vice versa.
but, they are possible to maintain. it takes a lot of patience, trust, and communication to make them work. if you are feeling lonely, more often than not, your partner is too. it's nice to talk about things you are uncomfortable with, tell each other secrets, love with your mind not with your body? yes; however, it does get hard because of the lack of physical attention: there are no hugs, no kisses, which opens up a tendency to want to cheat, break up and date other guys. all i can really say is P E R S E V E R E.
If you are serious enough for your man, want to monopolize him, as he would you, better be some hard work on that s**t.
you cannot half-a** love;if you do, it doesn't work out. it is possible. i have met many people who are now engaged and/or married who have met online. one of my acquaintances met her husband of eight years on gaia, and another met her fiancee of two years on neopets.
so to answer your question, not all LDRs are doomed to fail. i dislike that kind of mentality with a thousand white hot suns. if you love someone enough, it will endure. you both just make it work.
