It's amazing what a few clear pictures can do to a previous opinion. While not sold on the high prices of the models, they do look an awful lot better now that we have clear pictures of them, as opposed to the magazine scans we had before. The Dark Talon in particular has grown on me, especially the second, less decorated variant, which looks like an actual fighter that could fly around the battlefields.

Still not sold on the Vengeance pattern Land Speeder, however I am curious as to what the Shroud of Angels does.

I want a detailed written explanation from GW explaining why the Dark Talon costs $30 more than the Storm Talon. : I Even with additional options that seems like a pretty big mark-up for a vehicle fulfilling the same role in a different force.

Though I will admit the hurricane bolters on the thing give me a mass destruction stiffy.

I want a detailed written explanation from GW explaining why the Dark Talon costs $30 more than the Storm Talon. : I Even with additional options that seems like a pretty big mark-up for a vehicle fulfilling the same role in a different force.

I think the difference is that the Storm Talon is more related to the Land speeder, just slightly bigger and more dangerous on firepower. Giving it a price more than a Land speeder. The Dark Talon, which can be two types of aircrafts, is more like the Valkyrie in size. And does seem to be able to fit even more dangerous weaponry than the Storm Talon.

In my opinion until I can personally see the difference, the Storm Talon is a like a 'Attack Helicopter/Gunship" While the Dark Talon is a "Valkyrie/Imperial Navy Lightning Fighter." In other words, the Dark Talon should be much bigger than the Storm Talon.

Dunno about the size, they look to be more or less the same size to me. The dark angels flyer just has wings and a bigger tail, but the same amount of plastic sprues, plus they both do the same job really as far as I can tell. This is just GW being greedy again imho.

My bad on relating it to the Valkyrie, I meant the Vulture. I am just a IG who does not use the Flyers. It is sad of course, but I will eventually get them. The Dark Talon has to have something special about it that not even the Storm Talon can't do. Someone needs to check out the Codex and find out.

After seeing the new units, I definitely intend on adding a unit of Deathwing Knights and a Nephilim Jetfighter for the punch and fire.

Oh well. I am curious how a "Plasma Talon" is different from a twin-linked plasma gun. Unless it isn't.

depending on what kind of gear options they´ll have and all. sweatdrop

I´m not a real fan of the whole pulpit on that LSV,
going to get one just to see if I can convert it to something more practical. ninja

I´m morely interested about if there´s going to be any army-wide special rules
or are we still stuck on the "fearless-giving-thingies-derp" phase. gonk

Oh, and that collectors edition codex; Pointless. talk2hand

We'll be getting the codex first and seeing just works and what won't before buying any of the shiny new boxes. Though chances are we'll be getting a Death Wing box at the very least, along with a Dark Talon. ninja
