Cruel and Unusual Punishment [PRP]

Belial set food on the ground below what had just previously been her flight path. She looked up at the sky, squinting from the sun. She wasn't approving of the weather, she preferred night and rain, but what could she do? She hissed softly as she found a shady spot. She didn't like the heat. The light burned her. She lidded her eyes as she looked around. There were few out this way and she made sure of that. She chased any and all who would come to her domain off.

She settled on a rock outcrop that was currently in the shade and settled in. Her red eyes searched for something, anything, to dare come into her realm.

Kamama simply drifted with the winds, following the breeze and the scent of flowers. She had no thought for territory; seemingly had no thought for the presence of others unless they came too close. Like a butterfly she flitted through, and might light somewhere for a brief moment, but then she was drifting again and gone with the next breeze.

So it was when she fluttered into the clearing Belial had claimed, seemingly unaware of the other's presence there. She stopped for a few moments to admire the flowers there, and then she would be gone.

An annoyed growl passed through Belial's lips. Her red eyes seemed to glow for a moment before she dropped from her spot in the shade and headed for the stranger. The stranger that had dared come to her territory and settle. She flicked her tails and growled softly. "Get out." Her words were soft and cruel. "Get out of here and never return. This is my land and I will not have visitors."

Belial positioned herself to a fighting stance and waited, teeth bared and eyes full of hatred. "You do not belong amongst the damned so leave!"

Pale golden eyes turned to regard Belial, emotionless and almost dead by the expression, or lack thereof, in them. Not to belong among the damned, hm? By some regards butterflies were the souls of the dead, though, so she had as much right to be here as any, should she not? Kamama continued simply to stare at Belial, dark wings slowly extending from her back to flap, once, twice, slowly and with an obvious lack of intent to move. She had not planned on staying long before, but she could be rather stubborn when challenged.
