[Epic Irony]

When a small town just south of the Canadian border suddenly goes dark, and the police task force sent to investigate mysteriously disappears, the government sends in the military to quarantine the entire town and nearly forty square acres of forest surrounding it. The 1,733 civilians living in the town simultaneously went missing, and the local wildlife is also gone. But the biggest mystery?

The sun refuses to shine. On this forty square acres, there is minimal light; and in the darkness, things are stirring. A tour bus ferrying various tourists crashed in the nearby shed only moments before the order was given; the military is to shoot any living thing on sight.

Now, trapped in the nightmarish town where the sun never shines, the survivors of that bus crash must fight to survive. Fear brings out the worst in people, and there's plenty to be afraid of... The missing townspeople and forest animals are coming back. Twisted, monstrous. Corrupted by the darkness. Seemingly impervious to regular damage, these things can only be hurt when exposed to sources of light- however, with the sun hidden and the town in disarray, the odds are stacked against our survivors.

How long will you survive in the dark?

③ The creatures in the darkness can only be hurt when in direct light. Be it a lantern, flashlight, what have you, any light will work... But if they're not in the light, they're basically invincible. This is not up for debate or discussion. If you fight these monsters in the dark, you will die.

④ There are no NPCs up and ready for slaughter. Each and every enemy is more than capable of killing you, and laughing while it does. As such, the forces of darkness will be played by none other than... Me. Unless you specifically request your own personal demon to vanquish, any monsters you mention in your posts will be apprehended and controlled by me until killed.

⑤ Your character will not have unrealistic weapons. There's no reason for a japanese schoolgirl to even be on the Canadian border, let alone to be toting an AK-47 with a grenade launcher attachment and a katana on the side. You are also a normal, average human being; superhuman anything will not even be considered. You're just a normal person. Get over it.

⑥ I'm not going to be overly strict on this, but you probably shouldn't find everything you want, immediately as you need it. This is an RP who's fun will be born out of necessity, terror, and simply awful things happening to your character. It won't be any fun if you find exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. Be creative. Use your head. Or, if necessary, turn and run like a scared little child.
