You are one of the troll race who has been blessed with FINS on your face. Your LUSUS has always told you that they are a symbol of your GREATNESS. You try your best to live up to all of this esteem, but it's kind of hard to prove how AWESOME you are when there is no one to compare yourself too. Something else your LUSUS has been sure to keep up on is keeping you LOCKED UP. She means to keep you from HARM, but it just makes you incredibly LONELY.

One night you'll get out of here and BOSS AROUND all those landdwellers and they will LOVE you and everyone will want to be your FRIEND. That's how things work, right? You show them how SUPERIOR you are and they PRAISE you. There's no way things would be any different. Yep, it'll be great and surely lots of FUN!

Personality:
Khanda is a lonely troll. She puts up a good face and acts like her seclusion doesn't bother her, but it really does. After what happened to the last queen and many other trolls of the upper-class her lusus hid her away deep in the ocean and basically kept her under hive arrest. She had always been rather protective of her little charge, not allowing her to go on land and always being with her when she went out, but after the assassination of the upper-class she hardly ever let her leave the hive. While she hardly saw anyone before afterwards she has yet to see another soul within her small, protective bubble.

As she was no longer allowed to explore the ocean her lusus took the extra time to make sure Khanda learned how to be a proper high-class citizen of Alternia. Those lessons were very boring so Khanda became quite a restless young troll, yearning to once more swim about in the sea. She longs to travel the Alternian landscape and make lots and lots of friends! The world is her platter and she intends to take every opportunity she can to experience it one night. Especially the sweets. Man, does she love sweets. Walrusmom is also strict with her diet and rarely lets her have dessert.

The lessons she partook in nightly were mostly in the academic nature, but the hemospectrum was also a very important part. Khanda was always told that as a seadweller she was better than any of that trash that lived on the land. With the emphasis on how superior she is Khanda grew to be a bit big-headed, even thinking that she and the queen are equals despite being on the lower end of seadwellers (Walrusmom spent so much time talking about how much better she was than landdwellers she forgot to mention that being a seadweller does not mean you're at the top).

Strengths:
PROTECTIVE
If Khanda has decided something is important to her she will guard it with her life. May it be a present from a friend or the friend themselves. No one will touch any of her things without getting through her first.

DETERMINED
Once she has set her mind to something Khanda has every intention on following through. Even if things look bleak she will find a way to persevere. Despite having a collapsing and expanding bladder based aquatic vascular system it burns with a fire that can't be quenched.

SCHOLARLY
She can do math equations and read a map in a blink of the eye. Her best subjects are actually Tactics and Navigation. She has a wealth of knowledge all thanks to the teachings of her lusus. While the lessons may have been boring she did pay attention to them. Her interest in them were mostly to make Walrus mom proud of her. Also, possibly, to prove to herself that she is as great as she has continually been told. She doesn't flaunt the fact that she knows things, but if someone were to ask a question in her range of hearing she would have no problem answering it.

ADVENTUROUS
There's so much to see and do! Khanda is always ready to go on an adventure and explore. Since her grubhood has been confined to her hive and a very small bubble around it (under the watchful protection of her lusus, of course) she wants to get out and stretch her legs!

Flaws:
DEMANDING
If there is something Khanda wants you better believe you'll hear about it. As a seadweller she doesn't believe she should have to get or do things herself, that's stuff for landdwellers. She's tired, carry her. She's hungry, go get her food. She's bored, tell her a story. An important part of her lusus's lessons, after all, were that she is entitled and is better than anyone who does not have fins on their face. In Khanda's mind that's just how the world works and even if she orders everyone around they will still love her, because she's a seadweller and they are awesome.

CLINGY
Growing up without any friends Khanda won't let go of any she makes, even if it smothers them. If she sees a familiar troll she will attach herself to them and not leave them be, even dragging them along with her to where ever she is going. Sometimes she even views other trolls as her property, but never in a condescending way. If you are her friend she really does care for you.

NAIVE
Even though she is book smart she is no way street smart. Living in such a small world with no interaction with other trolls has left her rather stupid when it comes to the dos and don'ts of being social and how to spot a lie. If another troll tells her that if she hugs a cholerbear she'll be perfectly fine she'll believe them. She will be amazed by everyday things. Items that never were deemed "important" enough by her lusus to be in a lesson or ever in her hive will blow her mind.

SUPERFICIAL
Appearances are everything. Khanda has no time for ugly or gross things. She'd be more attracted to an ornate, plastic weapon than to a rusty broadsword. Despite knowing the latter to be better for actually killing something she'd much rather have the pretty prop. Same goes for trolls. She'd be much nicer to those who wore nice clothes than to those who wore rags. She herself can not stand to have messy hair or a stain on her clothes.

Likes/Dislikes

likes:
Sweets
Khanda will stuff her face until she gets sick if she's allowed to. Some of this is just a kind of "take that" to her lusus, but even if her lusus had not been so overbearing she would still greatly appreciate a box of chocolates or a bag of cotton candy. (Cotton candy, by the way, is her favorite seeing as how it is just sugar and even when she could have dessert cotton candy has the bad habit of disolving in water so it was always out of the question.) It's all just so yummy and is an easy way to get back on her good side if you've angered her.

Cute Things
She loves all things tiny, cuddly, and adorable. One of her favorite posessions is a hopbeast plush (lovingly named Mr. Hops) that has been her only friend growing up. Basically if you don't have any sweets on hand something cute is you next best option to give Khanda if you want to be in her favor.

Being Adored
While she does believe she's awesome, thanks to her lusus, it does get tiresome only hearing it from one source. If you don't have any gifts to give her flattery is your last card you can play to calm her down. She likes being reminded by others that she is pretty and smart and all around perfect. Also, she just likes knowing that others think highly of her, or at least care about her. She wants lots of friends who can make her feel loved.

Getting Messy
Living in the water she rarely had to deal with getting dirty, since it would wash away in a matter of seconds. Being on land is completely different and she despises it. If there is mud she'll give it a wide berth or order someone to lay their coat over it for her. If she was a messy eater and got crumbs all over herself she'll be very bitter. Don't even get me started if someone ruffles her hair! Mothergrub forbid anyone ever attempts that!

Her Friends Being in Danger
These are people who care about her, they would surely never let her down so she won't ever let them down! If she can't do anything to help them she'll try to find someone who can! Losing her friends is her biggest fear. She doesn't want to be alone again.

Seclusion
She can't stand being kept all by her lonesome. She'd had enough of that! If she's told to wait in a room by herself she'll get restless and keep trying to leave in search of company. If someone tries to leave her she'll cling desperately to them and beg for them not to go.

Not Getting Her Way
If someone doesn't do what she wants she's gonna throw a tantrum. DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND THEY SHOULD DO WHAT SHE SAYS?!

LUSUS

Beskytte is a very loving lusus, but all that love has a drawback. She can't ever let her little grubby out of her sight. She has to protect her from all the dangers in the world. As long as Khanda stays put she is happy and doting. Always making sure her troll is the best she can be and always there for cuddles (while being careful not to crush her tiny charge).

When Khanda was younger and the two of them would go for swims together she would allow the young girl to ride on her head or make a sling between her tusks. Those were happier times. Now she mostly sits around and keeps a watchful eye on the girl.

HIVE

Tucked away at the bottom of the ocean floor, nestled in a bed of seaweed is Khanda's hive. As the protective nature of her lusus became more and more prominant Khanda became more and more thankful that as a wriggler she decided to install lots of windows. When she was younger she used to play in the seaweed beds, but now she just looks at them through glass. Her respite block is located in the topmost room of the north tower.

He's a big meanie jerk face! He was rude, slapped her, lied to her, and then left her! If all lowbloods are like this guy Bessy was right and Khanda wants nothing to do with them!

Gosh, he's so unhelpful!!


He can be a bit weird at times, but he's also really cool! He was willing to help Khanda in her time of need and even let her mooch off of his recuperacoon. If that isn't a good reason for friendship than Khanda doesn't know what is! Thalia is her bestest (and first) friend. She can't wait to get back to normal and show him what she's supposed to look like!

NOTES FROM GALAXA

Khanda is based off of an OC of mine named Shima Hoshi who is in a story written by a friend of mine. She is a princess who was locked away in her palace by her father until one day a thief smuggles her out and they go on fun adventures together. (I swear it's better than it sounds.)

Khanda's symbol is the alchemy symbol for fool's gold. I chose it because she enjoys finery, such as gold, but she is somewhat of a fool when it comes to others.

Beskytte means "protecting" in Norwegian.

She is my second troll and the third seadweller to be in the shop.

If she played SGRUB her title would be Thief of Breath.
