Some days you really need a pick-me-up that isn't made of 50,000,000 calories... although chocolate is always good for what ails you, amirite?

ANYWAY, since it's not good to stuff our faces every time we feel blue, when you need cheering up, what do you do?

Me, some days I just turn my music player on and open my special "cheering up" folder or look for some of my "feel-good" videos on my computer.

This one is both song and video, and worth sharing. I admit it makes me want to bleach my hair and get a tan... but I'll settle for that leopard-print dress cat_4laugh

sometimes i just lay down and listen to music and sing it at the top of my lungs (when no one is around that is... redface ) or I just go down in my basement and dance or I spend time with my family as a way to distract myself from feeling sad.

well I write alot of poetry to make me smile I usually write yuri stories

when i have something bothering me i will normally listen to music and draw. :3 It does help me feel better in the end though.

I make a list of stuff that makes me happy/smile.

Like:
My dog rolling around in the sun shine.
Me joking with my dad.
My mom helping me bake.
My sister giving me a the old "that's weird" look.
Me getting on Tumblr and finding .gifs from old movies.
Etcetera, etcetera.

Agree with Mitsu-chan. At that point it's time to hit the journal ('cept I write more than I draw). Music is always a good mood lifter/amplifier/soother. Try this feel good song for all women: Video by India Arie. I usually talk to my sister or bestie, too. And when school was in, a teacher wrote me a note on my essay that boosted my confidence instantly. Another teacher recommended I keep that and read it when I need it--but of course that's more for academics... x3

Me? I go to cuteoverload.com to look at all the absolutely cute things just waiting for me to coo and drool at.

That, or I either watch the Travel Channel or go out to see more of whatever world I can see. Makes me feel small and my troubles trivial compared to everything else out there, lol

type or read, watch movies i really like, and i have a "shut up and dance" playlist on my iPod along with "upset" and "******** off" to get all the vibes out of my system through angry lyrics

This may seem cliched or whatever, but exercise really helps. Because it helps me calm down and clear my head. I usually go for a walk and and I live like right infront of the ocean, so the ocean is nice to look at and it calms me.

Another thing I do, is I eat chocolate. I know its bad, but its not like 2 pieces *cough* a whole block *cough* will do any harm right?

Another thing. Crying or screaming. It really helps, it just gets all the emotion out in one big go. I always feel better after a cry if i feel down. emotion_awesome

Well I'm a huge youtube fan so whenever I feel sad I pull up a ton of my favorite videos from Smosh to Nigahiga to Shane Dawson, Pewdiepie, RayWilliamJohnson, and all those others! Or I take my laptop, go to my room, video chat with friends or put on random songs and dance. But sometimes all it takes is a little time to myself to cheer up too; whatever works for you! dramallama
