Looking for Suggestions on how to advertise ones thread

HI, I am Misty Mary and I am working on a reference guide that I share with the general public and any guild that wants to use it.
The guide is fairly young and still a work in progress. I am adding new sections in it all the time and the section I want to add now is how to advertise your bump thread, so others find it when you are not online or you did not receive that little message when it will start glowing.
If you could please list off your suggustions and what works and does not work I would really be happy to hear about them.
You will find new areas always popping up in refference guide. Some are private links and some are for the public. The private links state private on them. The guide is also my refernce for different parts in my journal as well.

What works for me is getting my tank added to as many Booty Grab threads and guilds as I can. Mainly the ones that are popular and that I see a lot of "bump" images in glow threads for.
Also bumping other people's glow threads a lot can help get people to bump your thread if they catch it glowing.
