Deep and Dark
I lay in bed
Thinking of the Mark
this Mark of Hatred and Love
Gouged into my arm
Covered by my Tattoo of a Dove
though still not Free from Harm
I Wish it would Disappear
Never to be Seen
I Never Want to hear
another Painful Scream
like the ones I used to hear
every single day
made by the ones that I held Dear
but now have Gone Away
but No matter how much I Wish
this Scar Remains
filling me with Anguish
Playing a Horrible Game
