I can't remember the specific date but I do remember it being announced once that you can find giftboxes in towns.

it's the first I ever found.

For a really long time ... years........... Same with brown gift boxes and so on.

heh, the third day after i first joined, June 07, i got a pink box in Towns and it dropped Nitemare Headband which sold for 300k at the time...which at the time was worth like a dozen Katanas. Which started me on a nice level for learning how to work the market.

I've never seen a giftbox in towns either, I didn't even know that they could appear in towns. It isn't fair, at one point I was in towns everyday and a giftbox never appeared. Clearly they are hiding from me.

i wonder whether it has more to do with how many rooms you go in and less with how long you spend there. My first week on Gaia i circumnavigated the outer rim of Towns chasing bugs. Or maybe i was just amazingly lucky to get the box?
