SI awareness

Ok so this Thursday aka March 1st is one of many SI awareness days.

For those of you who don't know SI (self-injury) is the intentional infliction of damage to ones body.... Such examples would include....
Cutting (most common)
Burning
Not allowing a wound to heal
Breaking your own bone
Banging your head on objects
Intentionally bruising your skin
Ex....

On March first I am trying to get as many people as I can to help support the hurt... If you want to do your part in helping wear an orange ribbon and tell your friends and family to do it too!!

SI is one of the many things out there that people don't pay attention to, even though many SI types have NO intention of suicide, it is out there as a effect if they don't get help or they dont see they are supported then they just might kill themselves please help me show them they are supported and we're hear for them.

I think a good response would have to be, there are many different reasons and not one person can just know the exact reason for one person.

It's not really a "hey, there's nothing else to do so let's cut each other up" sort of thing.
It's usually a symptom of trauma, extreme stress, depression, and other psychological issues.
