So I've been playing the N64 lately and the image quality is so horrible. ;.; I don't remember it sucking this much. I think its the TV... since its considerably newer than the gaming console. <<;; Is there a way to change the settings to retro style? xd

My sister tried to explain it to me but it just sounded like gibberish to me.

I got tons of N64 stuff off of e-Bay when I decided I wanted to play it. SOmetimes.... idk what stuff even is.

--recently I've been playing old Play station games. And... it's so hard to tell the background from what you can interact with that it's ridiculous.

I loved the N64 too as well as the Sega Dreamcast. I remember using to play the demo of Dead or Alive 2, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Shuffle and Sonic Adventure 2 on the dreamcast as well as South Park Rally for the N64. emotion_kirakira Good times. The quality wasn't all that impressive on them, but I had a lot of fun with them. *still has them in her room unplugged though*

My friends won't let me play goldeneye with them, because I wreck them, and I screen watch.

I tell them that I only screen watch because I'm better than them, but they just don't understand.

i had this issue with the first xbox and dreamcast. it's because lots of newer TVs are formatted in HD, and from years of seeing things in HD you tend to get used to what it looks like??? if this makes sense?

the older consoles though arent formatted in HD. so the picture quality looks normal on a regular TV but on an HD tv looks terrible. to fix this, you can buy an hd av cable, but i dont know if they make them for the N64 like they do for dreamcast and xbox

Oldschool fix for this. Really simple too.

Sit further away.

Simple steps for solving a simple problem:

1) Go to local thrift store/recycling center/etc
2) Obtain old TV
3) ....
4) 64 Time~! cat_xd

...But, actually, I still play my 64... On me flat screen, but... I haven't really noticed a difference, per se, which might be due to the fact that I've continued to play the system over the years... You know, like being use to it... cat_rolleyes

So, ja, for me... Harvest Moon 64 is one of those must-be-able-to-play-at-any-point-in-my-life-games, so... I always have my N64, ready to play, at all times cat_sweatdrop

Old TV.

I left my old tube with my best friend when I left for college, and she only plays her older consoles on it, because the living room TV (a 50'' HD LCD) makes everything look like s**t.

except for when we play goldeneye

It's the only way we can stand a 4 player game LOL
