Enrollment Miss Arel Wasn't Too Sure What To Think. While she was staring, the Acceptance Bin decided to do the work for her. Less staring, more eating.

Am Name: Am Gender: Female Age: A few dozen decades, give or take (mentally ~16)
Faction: Monster Race: Ammut
Personality: Known best for her voracious appetite, Am is the kind of being you might expect find with permanent residence in the backside of the cafeteria. She is constantly hungry, with the power to eat just about anything within her grasp. It's this single trait that has, over the years, come to majorly define Am's species. She is no exception to the rule. Her constant hunger means she's always stuffing something in her mouth. Half the time she isn't even sure what it is-- maybe it was food, maybe it was a minipet, maybe it was her homework-- and because of generally poor vision and a mass of hair covering her eyes, it's a pretty fair assumption.
Beyond her devouring nature, Am is a simple creature, and is quite proud of that. She's large, she's brutish, and she's slow, and wears this like a shining badge of happy self awareness. She is, after all, the exact epitome of her race, and she feels she's doing the right thing by living up to their very low standards.
Unfortunately, that spark of self-knowledge is where the gravy train of brain-casserole comes to a screeching halt. Am sounds about as smart as you might expect a talking garbage disposal to be. Most of her conversations come in stilted sentence fragments; often missing parts of speech entirely. And when her impulsive, one-track mind isn't on food, it's usually distracted by something shiny or food-like. Subtle concepts, such as societal norms, don't come easy to Am-- and trying to explain deeper concepts is an exercise in futility.
Yet for how stupid or mean she may come off, Am is actually very sweet. Her best kept secret is that she's soft inside. She tries hard to please the people she's around, and has a tendency to crush on those who are overly nice to her. Am enjoys being loveable and amiable to most creatures, making friends, and sharing with them. It's just unfortunate that she's also hungry.
Despite this, Am's monster pride determines the way she shows it. She's rough and tumble, and not gentle in the slightest. If she likes you, you'll know about it with a punch to the face. Or a yank to the hair. And if she crushes on you, she might just crush you. That's the only way to show affection in Am's world, and she expects you to return the favor if you like her.Physical Description Am is 6'7 in student form. While a bit gawky for an Ammut, she is not "petite" in the slightest. Her hands and feet are huge and she is fairly strong, as all monsters usually are. Her eyes are red, and fairly small and squinty, which she hides behind her mane of hair. She has a wide, toothy mouth, and her voice is low pitched, deep and guttural from growling. Am's skin is also scaly and rather dry; descended from desert creatures, she loves hot places, sand, and warm watery areas to lounge in. She likes wearing scarentine themed clothing, and is usually seen with food in hand.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Am's parents think she sorely needs to learn how to be a properly frightening creature. She is too scrawny, and far too "sweet" to strike fear into the hearts of people, as a real Ammut should be doing. Am both needs to bulk up, and stop being a big mush ball inside.
Natural Ability Devourer: The teeth and stomach of an Ammut are able to chew and digest just about anything.
FEAR Ability Hard Chomp: Am launches herself towards her opponent, mouth wide open, and bites them. Very hard. (Battle Cry)
True Form
Am's true form is a monstrous mix between a crocodile, a lion, and a hippopotamus; a "Hippodileon." In true form, she's huge-- about the size of a young elephant-- and not only is she incredibly heavy, but sheer mass alone makes her a bulldozer capable of ramming through strong objects. Unfortunately, she's also very slow when in this form, as well as clumsy, and tends to waddle or lumber awkwardly along. Water doesn't help her be any more graceful.

History and Culture
The very first Ammut's purpose was just to sit there and eat what it was fed-- usually "unworthy" hearts. Through hundreds of subsequent generations, the race of Ammut have mostly stuck to this single life principle. An Ammut's purpose is to eat; so that's usually what they spend most of their time doing. An Ammut's prized possession is their teeth, and their most prided ability is being able to eat absolutely anything within sight.
Their species, however, usually do not consider something "edible" unless it is heart shaped, bloody, or red in color. All three is a bonus; one or two is usually good enough to pass as food. Am herself will usually only eat things that are red. Painted red, dyed red, it has to be "reddish" for her to notice. As a devourer creature, Am is also usually hungry, and usually eating something or other wherever she goes.
How Am Was Raised Raised by two very loving, doting, and appropriately brutish Ammut parents, most of Am's young life was spent sheltered away from the majority of Halloween Town. Their family was sequestered away in one of the warmer, dryer areas surrounding the town (though it would be appropriate to consider it the "boonies" to more savvy Halloweeners.)
Am was raised as an only child, and was given the very best, though an Ammut's living is usually a more humble one-- eating and sleeping in the sun, or lounging in the water all day, oblivious to more serious goings-on in Halloween. She was taught to take deep pride in her culture and their race.
She was eventually sent to school because her parents were having concerns-- Am was getting fussy about her food, not getting much bigger and stronger, and she was having strange daydreams-- the kind of romantic wistfulness that does not become a brute.

Am's Sandpit
Am's room is a large, sandy area, with a pool of water large enough for her to wade in when she's in natural form. The light hanging from the ceiling is actually a gigantic heat lamp that keeps the room somewhere between sweltering and extremely dry.
She doesn't have many personal belongings here. There's no traditional furniture, like chairs, desks, or carpeting. There is a closet to the left, somewhat stuck open by a mound of sand, where many scarentine-themed clothes hang haphazardly on hangers (or are just thrown inside on the ground with no order whatsoever).
The Trashbin: This is Munchums. If Am won't eat it, he definitely will. He's her baby, and often times her trashcan. All in all he's a very spoiled creature that often sleeps on Am's mane. All he cares about is food and pettings.
The Roomba: This is Scoover VI. Like his name implies, he wanders around the room, constantly looking for bits of things to suck up and eat. Found annoying by all the other minis in Am's room.
The Thing That Eats other Minipets: It has no name, but Am likes to informally refer to it as the "Hungry Thing." It lives in the darkness of her closet, and sometimes comes out at night to eat the other minipets. Am doesn't know why it started living in her closet, but adores how brutish it is. All the other minipets live in fear. Hence why "Scoover the Sixth" exists and not "Scoover the First."
The Leader of Her Other Pets: This was a totem that got eaten, once. As it somehow came back to life, it is considered by all the other oppressed minipets a figure to be rallied behind. The totem itself is oblivious to this.
Piles of Totems, Suckers, and Scarentine Pets also wander around Am's room at times, seemingly from nowhere. Sometimes they're her dinner, and sometimes they're the dinner of Hungry Thing. A lot of them stick close to the ghost totem in hopes that it might save them. (It never works.)
