[December] Open Roleplay!

[Kitsusagi Staff]

This is the Kitsusagi Shop Official Open RP Thread.

Every month the staff will create an Open RP Thread for anyone and everyone to participate in. The thread will come with small descriptions of the general location, open for both Kitsusagi and humans to roleplay in. Individuals are allowed to rp as more than one character. At times a specific scenario will also be described, wherein participants will have to work together to solve the situation. The Open RP will close on the final day of each month, and be replaced on the first day of the following month.

For every post that individuals make in the Open RP thread, they will receive 1 point. (Note: One post must equal at least 7 sentences.) These points will be added up once the Month is over, and staff will hold miscellaneous events to award the participants of these Open RPs. n_n

December Location: Kingdom of Athas
December Scenario: Snow has finally decended on the east mountains, and the already glittering Kingdom of Athas looks like a beacon of light to all who view it from the nearby lowlands. While it is a gorgeous sight from afar, many know of its deserted reputation, and consider the ground nearly sacred due to its past. Even so, will the Holiday spirit bring the crowds out to play in the snow? However, for the past few nights a whistling sound could be heard beyond the chilled meadow and frozen stream. Or is it more of a wailing? Whatever it is, the sound haunts the curiousity of many kitsu, and draws them to the Kingdom like a strange lullaby...

"Bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr~"

Needless to say, the temperature up in this northern terrain was much, much colder than other locations. Although it felt like a change that had happened over night, at least for the desaturated Angelic. A chilly nap in the safety of the trees, just like any other night, only to be stunned awake the next day with a powdery blanket of snow over his form. Not only that, but the strange dreams he remembered...like a soft orchestra had been whispering in his ear. Why it was enough of a shock (both mentally and especially physically) that the poor lad nearly toppled off the branches as he shook himself awake. Velveteen ears flopped side to side as the kitsu stood, balancing on a heavy branch while he shook off the rest of his form. "How unpleasant, Mother Nature and Miss Winter are both so indifferent."

Casting silver eyes down to teh ground below, Embry's face lit up at the changes made to the scenery around him. A fresh and untouched coat of snow made its mark on the land, covering young and old plant alike. Why, you could just barely make out the patches of earth and grass in some spots against all the white! But how? Sure it was cold the day before, but there hadn't been a cloud in the sky. Nor had there been any tell-tell signs of a stormy wind.

As quiet as an owl, Embry streched out his large wings and took flight. A short aerial scouting was all he needed to see that the whole meadow was now a paradise of whites and silvers. Circling back to his favorite tree and nest, the Angelic landed tenderly on the cold earth and stood still.

It was so peacefully that it was almost nerve-wracking.....

"Now what?"

Faye normally didn't fly to the mountains, but with the holidays coming up, she wanted to find something special as gifts for her family. Besides, it was fun to go to new places and having wings certainly helped with the distance. But when she had arrived some miles from the high terrain, something seemed to....call to her, draw her to the cold snow and thin air. And she followed it, not feeling any malice or ill-intent from it, just a feeling of concern.

She shivered under her mint green fur, never having liked the cold, but she knew she would eventually adjust to the area. Circling higher into the air, she looked down and saw the snow covered meadow below and she slowly started her descent, not trying to mask her presence.

He watched. He saw. He felt. The coldness. The snow. The emptiness around him. He saw it all. "Looks like another day of mystery." Shattervein spoke aloud to himself. Leaving his area of rest from the previous night, the Kitsusagi prowled around the lands closer to the Kingdom of Athas not knowing why. Maybe it was the beautiful scenery that attracted him. What was the true reason? He didn't know.

"Ugghhh.." His tail kept getting into the snow. Turning around, Shattervein saw his tracks on the snowy trail and headed on forth with some odd pull luring him into the land of wonder.

If one happened to be looking up at the right time this morning they might see a pair of dark blurs crossing the sky at breakneck speed. If one watched long enough and happened to be close enough to see the sun colored streaks keeping pace in the middle the strange image might have resolved itself into the kitsusagi it actually was. Though at the pace Nen'Lhach kept when she was heading somewhere, they might not have time for that.

Not that Nen had half a clue where it was she was heading, but the wind she was following was brisk indeed and she had no inclination to be left behind. Shame that the winds had led her inland rather than out to sea this morn but she supposed they must have their reasons! And she held no complaints about the apparent destination as the wind finally began to dwindle over the broad expanse of white. Not quite the sort of adventure she was expecting, but far be it from her to turn down a good romp in the snow!

A mimicry of a seahawk's cry was the only warning anyone watching below had before Nen dove into the powder, angled so she could tumble to a stop after a moment rolling. The snowy mess of fur and feathers that had not a moment ago held the appearance of a majestic angelic kitsu popped up out of a drift and said, to no one in particular, "Meh, maybe an eight of ten, I could have rolled a good fifteen feet farther if I'd aimed that better..."

Ears pivoted back as a multitude of things began to happen, and Embry scanned his eyes against the blinding snow. Just off in the distance and to his left, he could see a green motion among the trees. And it was too graceful to be shrugged off as a leaf in the wind, especially with the way it seemed to hover in mid-air. But the distance was too far to see any details, and the Angelic was forced to look elsewhere when voices started cutting into the silence.

It seemed to be a family unit of kitsu, if not just a close group of friends. Stepping out from under his tree, Embry watched them quietly as they stepped out into the open with vibrant chatter. So then, everything did seem normal with or without the sudden snow fall. It helped the male quirk a smile, to know that winter didn't mean a dreary mood too. Thank goodness for that! He was already a mellow creature and wouldn't need the assistance of winter to make him appear more...somber? Shrugging to himself, Embry decided that 'somber' was a much better word than 'moody' or 'depressed'. But those thoughts were shoved aside as he heard the crunch of snow.

Right behind him.

With a small gasp and a flap, the kitsu shuffled around to see just who was beside him. And his pale eyes couldn't help but widen at the sight. Blending in with the snow if not for the red and black markings, stood a grand sized Dragon kitsusagi. Why, Embry looked like a mere short adolescent compared to the serpentine frame of the other individual. "Pardon me, for blocking your path..." The Angelic could only hope the Dragon was a kindly individual, or else he could be in a troublesome situation! Stepping to the side, he nodded politely at the other as he tucked his wings in...as if to blendin with the trees behind him.

A shadow flickering over his vision, and Embry nearly thought he had gone temporarily blind. But a glance up showed him the source, as he watched another Angelic soar through the air with agile ease. It was admirable, that is until the blue individual cannon balled directly into the snowy fields below. Was that by accident or was the other truly injured?!

Compelled to investigate, even as the other Angelic sat up steadily, the gray male wandered out from the shelter of the woods.

Faye used her wings as brakes as she got closer to the snow covered ground and within a few moments, she gracefully landed, shivering a bit from the cold. Having spotted moving figures down below, she started moving in the direction she thought they were, curious as to who was here and if they two felt that pull.

SunoKissui was sitting behing her papa looking up at him curiously. There were lot's of other Kitsu around and she was kind of scared. Traveling around with her papa she rarely ever saw other Kitsu not that she minded. All of the different kitsu ther were around were making her curious. What were all of them. There were so many of them! "Papa? Where did they all come form? Why are they all here? Papa Why are we here?"

She was full of questions having never been around so many Kitsu at once before. She was honestly quite confused and staying as close to her papa as possible. There were so many it was a bit scary to her that fact that there were so may other kitsu around. So many kitsu she didn't know. Placed herself between her papa's paws not moving from next to them. Making sure she was safely tucked where he could feel her she wrapped one of her tails around her papa's leg the other two were then wrapped around herself.

Sayako had been on an emotional rollercoaster as of late, never in her life had she thought she would end up talking to her dead best friends and, not only that, end up explaining why they, her and her soon-to-be mate, Thane, lied to the little perma pup about his parents but now that it was almost over with she decided to get some R&R and head home to see her parents, it had been a long time since she was in the Kingdom of Athas and she had some filling in to do with her mother and father.

Sayako walked into her old home and looked around, pleased nothing had changed, she had missed this place and thought of maybe moving back here to raise her and Thane's children once they have some, if they ever have some, that Celestial was taking his precious time to even ask her out on a date but that could wait, Sayako had returned to see her parents and as she got closer to the others that were here her ears twitched and heard some voices, not one to usually be nosy she decided to go investigate and see what was going on, her parents could wait a little longer.

The male kitsu nodded in thanks to the flying kitsu. "It's fine." he spoke gently as he passed by watching the view. He watched as the wings opened and closed, flapping in a certain pattern.

He blinked at his kit's questions. "Why, they are lots of us here today because... he looked at the area he was attracted to - the lights. It was pulling him closer and closer. "Do you see the lights around the snows over there where I'm looking? That's where we're going, and I believe that's where most of the others are headed too." he frowned. "Sunokissui, do you think I'm doing the right thing to bring us here? He was unfamiliar with this part of the world and would head back home if his kit wanted him to. He then whispered hugging her, "Maybe if you see someone nice you can try being their friend? he wanted her to have a chance to introduce herself to the outside world in one of the rarest opportunities she'd got.

Suno Kissui looked up at her papa as he answered her questions. The light's over there looked pretty. She wanted to see what they were. At her papa's frown she thought about his question. "You did the right thing Papa! It looks so pretty! Can we please go closer Papa! Pretty Please?" She really wanted to go see what was making those light's. At her papa's other statment she got sort of quiet. "I can try but what if they other Kitsu's are mean papa?"

Sunokissui was honestly quite afraid of the others and stepping to far away from her papa. She had never been around kitsu's other than her papa. She wasn't sure what would happen when she actually did go out to talk to all of the other Kitsu. Her papa couldn't be there all the time if she went out there to talk to all of them. What if one of them tried to hurt her! She looked up at her papa one more time before carefully stepping away from him letting her tails drag through the snow as she went forward on her of slightly unsure of what would happen.

She curled up in the snow making a swirl as she did so then jumped out of it making footprints before looking at her papa. "Look Papa! Isn't it pretty!"

He laughed. "They're beautiful. If you noticed, those markings in the snow are the shapes of your paws. Those are called pawprints." For some reason, he felt like he had to teach that to Sunokissui for no one had ever taught him that.

"If you want, I'll be around you each time you feel like speaking to others until you feel comfortable around them. He knew the feeling of his kit and wanted her to at least have one other friend besides him. Walking beside the kit, he spoke, "Of course we'll get closer to the lights."

The young seafarer clambered the rest of the way out of the hole she'd made in the snow drift and shook herself thoroughly. Apparently she dislodged some snow from her ears in doing so, because the sounds of others became apparent afterward. Blinking slightly, the bold angelic peered around, and after ascertaining that no one seemed hostile toward her she extended a now dampened wing to wave to the other occupants of the snowy clearing.

Of course waving her wing about brought her attention to the disarray of her feathers, which she set about straightening. Awkward to fly with tangle feathers, you know.

Sunokissui moved forward in the snow looking down at the little paw prints she was making in the snow. Looking up at her papa she smiled. "Can I make other picture's in the snow?" Her mind was now completely set on making pictures in the snow she had forgotten entirely about the other kitsu in the area. She was bouncing around happily making little indents in the snow and finding things ther had been buried when the snows had fallen. Looking up at her papa she decided to be brave. "Papa let's go see when the other's are doing come on papa!!!"

Sunokissui sprinted ahead of her papa now in a heppy and curious mood wantign to see who all the other kitsu were not that she wasn't still a little scared. noticing a pretty blue angelic kitsu grooming her wings she stopped a bit away from her sitting down and watching finding the act of the other kitsu straightening out her feathers mesmerizing. "How do you do that! they were all messed up but know they are pretty and straight! How did you do it?!"

Her voice was excited and curious as she watched the blue angelic. Who in here mond seemed like a safe enough kitsu to go to first. She seemed nice and her papa was still within watching distance. Sunokissu looked up at the angelic with vivid purple eye's watching her curiously.
