 Acceptance Bin From the bowels of the Acceptance Bin a growing beat could be heard. The gnomes who'd placed themselves on Bin Duty began shifting their little bodies along. Eventually, they couldn't help but begin to dance and sing along. This in itself wasn't an entirely unusual. Except... "H-hey, I don't think it goes this way!" "What are we even singing?!" "These aren't the moves I remember!" " GIRLIE MAN!"
AIM: Mediciner1234THE ROOM
Four steps or so in, a couple of steps leads the visitor down. Flat carpeting stretches the length of the room (usually with at least some things/clothes left on the floor to impede movement), and the wooden walls are painted over a bland off-white color. Posters of various superheroes and villains break the monotony, along with one or two sporting a band's album cover. The vibe within is very much that of an aged basement. Beyond the usual commodities, such as the ever-unmade bed and the barely used shower, a mid-sized tv and a decently sized shelf full of different books, strategy guides, and scattered game cases, are within. Beneath the bed lies a large cardboard box where Mort keeps his game systems and extra controllers when not in use, as well as resources for a D&H game. The closet houses not just his clothes, but several cosplay materials, figurines, and a pig-imp bank to hold seeds.

Y2 Personality:
While having found quite a group of friends thus far, Mort still retains his social awkwardness and seems to be able to quickly become nervous when things get hairy with them. At the least he can still be goofy and relaxed as befits his character, though with experiences like Insanity under his belt now, things are starting to take a bit more of a dark turn for the zomboil; lately he's even begun to dip into the passive-aggressive area when not being utterly morbid. Mort has also grown a bit more physically clingy to those close to him, finding that he craves hugs and other forms of comfort during these uncertain times.
He's begun to grow less inclined towards the sciences and more towards engineering, though the scientific method is still something he looks to when experimenting. Originally Mort's goal was to become an inventor of gizmos, but with his horizons broadening (and showing the danger that lurks beyond) he has begun to consider putting those talents to better use for all of Halloween kind. Dreams of being a death knight are behind him now, but elements of the heroic still greatly appeal to him: honor, loyalty, bringer of justice, maybe one day fame even. But the rose-hued lens of his first year is broken now - and the zomboil still has many things to adjust to and consider.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Mortimer is determined to find fresh new ways to bring zombies back on the forefront of FEAR-mongering in the Halloween community, but . . . he needs to get smarter first. Also he needs a new base to hide his growing collection of parts before his Mom cuts him off. Again.Y1 Mad scientist? MORE LIKE GLAD SCIENTIST.

Mort loves brains beyond their obvious “favorite zombie food” staple, even though he’s loathe to eat them. That’s right; this is a zombie who prefers eating flesh, not grey matter. He’s intrigued by the inner workings of one of the most important organs in a sentient body and has begun collecting them to study: and by study, he means poke them, dissect them, and sticking them in his head to see what happens – usually in that order. Mort still has cravings for the stuff, but he’s been trying his best to avoid even nibbling on his own collection at the least.
Open Minded . . .
No, literally. The top of his head can pop off when excited or startled because that particular suture is loose. Otherwise, Mort’s pretty chill with most anyone; all he wants is to be liked after all.
. . . Except For . . .
Like any undead, Mortimer still fears fire. He also has an intense fear of water as well, a carry over from the way he died. Puddles make him iffy, lakes make him shake. Showers? Well it’s a good thing he doesn’t bother to in the first place. Squirting him with water is the easiest way to freak him out. It probably doesn’t help that he enjoys messing with electrical appliances.
Speaking of!
Mort is fascinated not only by the brain, but by electrical impulses, electrical currents, lightning, and all other manner of zappage. Got tech? He wants it! The zombie loves to tinker and experiment, and he has on more than one occasion taken parts from The Crypt for his test subjects.
Comic Book/Video Game Nerd
This zombie loves to follow the adventures of his favorite superheroes and villains, as well as those of other gaming protagonists, with a fervent passion. If you don't see him for a day or so, he's probably in his room pouring over some new edition or DLC that just became available. A certain part of Mort's closet is dedicated to cosplay materials, figurines, movie tickets, unused posters, expansion books . . . Secretly, Mortimer wants to cultivate an alter ego of his own to become famous under.
Simpleton
Mortimer’s got something of a dumb-streak, partially because he’s slow to catch on social cues, partially because he’s probably zapped himself a few times more than necessary; it’s pretty easy to make him believe things. By the same token, he’s one who can simplify problems down to their base elements and fix it from there. Mort strives to keep a drama-free life and is more than happy to distract someone else with his schedule.
Optimistic
Despite the stitches on his mouth that prevent him from speaking very well, Mortimer always tries to smile. Experiment goes wrong? That just means he learned one way to make an explosion in his face! It’s hard to keep the zombie down, but if he does spiral he hits ground pretty hard . . . And then he reassembles himself and goes back to whatever he was doing before.
OVERALL
Mort’s perseverance outshines his smarts, but he’s a loyal friend through and through. While his ideas about revolutionizing the zombie species into semi-mecha warriors in the future is unrealistic, he is determined to put his race back on the map as one of the most feared creatures Humankind has ever invented.
• Mortimer most affiliates himself with pigs, especially the tiny pigimp species. Pigs also have a negative stigma like zombies do (being fat, messy, greedy eaters), and he feels a kinship with his swinish minies that is close to sibling love.
• Mort has several personal fears that have followed him from his previous life, though he does not know the specific reasons why.
xxxxx• Water: Mortimer is quite afraid to be submerged in water, and in fact getting wet period gets him anxious. He believes this is because his FEAR involves electricity and would increase his chance of randomly shocking himself.
xxxxx• Needles: Not the sewing kind, but the injecting kind. Despite having the ever-stubborn undead resistances to pain, Mort is irrationally nervous around needles. To an extent, those who remind him of doctors also put him on edge.
• Mortimer has a minor obsession with boobs, just like the Cookie Monster has a minor craving for cookies.

Mort summons multiple green lightning bolts to physically throw at his opponent in quick succession.

With the help of his new invention and growth of FEAR, Mort can charge energy through himself and allow for him to become more focused and deadlier in battle. For this short period, white electricity can be see arcing about his body.

Love is all you need~ Affectionate, optimistic, and determined, regardless of his state of emotion. A vastly positive influence in his life, he doesn't know how he lived without her. They've been through a lot and still remain strong, which touches him more than he lets on.
